The max weight you can build to is 1.5kg....for my competitions that i will be doing in the future...weigh limit will be 1.5kg. I will be getting sponsored too so i want a 1st prize of £500 for the first uk champs. need the class to be a bit more popular first tho. may take time or not happen at all will see.

The irony of being called the slaughterhouse is an actual slaughterhouse would have a lower trench on the outsides for the blood to drain down.

What kind of parts are people using right now? Definetly want to get involved with this class now its not some speed but want to see what people are using first

Probably the 5a sabertooth and a small lipo, forgot what the other bits are called that I bought when the class got popular before..for armour HDPE and titanium will probably work well in this class.
think some people were using the MFA motors and gearboxes from technoboxes before but might be wrong.

                  Winning? That'll be underused then.

Beetleweight Napalm Death? Yes. Just yes.

I'm actually really considering building a beetleweight with some of the leftover parts I've got laying about... Got many questions about it though, like what sizes are they usually, what sort of motors/speed controllers would be best and so on, but definitely will be something I'll get involved with somewhere down the line!

Very much like the look of that arena too, didn't realise it was as big as that either!

I think 200mm by 200mm is about average for size, mine is 230mm by 200mm at the moment.
The motors and speed controllers I told Matt about should be sufficient as far as I'm aware.
It is great that a lot of people seem to be interested in the weight class, personally think it has a lot of potential.

I design mine to fit on an A4 sheet because materials are abundant in that size on eBay and cheap. Plus you can print off to scale designs.

Quite big at 210mm x 297mm but that's to incorporate the big blade.

Ah, thanks for the help! Got an idea for a machine coming along now, need to get working on that after this feather's done!
It does have a lot of potential, very much like the look of this weight class!
Does the arena have a pit or arena well (for out-of-the-arena's) as well, sounds like a bit of an odd question I know, but I'm thinking ahead design wise!

No pit or well, you'll just have to design something to beat your opponent into submission
There are plans for arena hazards though, so pushy bots can still be useful (just got to make them super powerful and pushy)

Oh, excellent! And I'm rather hoping that this machine I'm planning will do just that
Going to be a bit of a gamble, I think, but hopefully it'll be a bit of a powerhouse if it does work right!
