      Our second battle calls to be written€¦and thus:

      Round 1, Eliminator 2
      Liar 2 (23) vs. Inferno vs. You€™re Dreaming vs. Panic Attack

      From Enschede in Holland, seeded number 23, Liar 2!
      Liar, liar, parts on fire? We€™ll see after Round 1!

      Melissa: It€™s Liar! Do its stats lie?
      Martijn: Liar 2, dear. That€™s the one thing that is true. It can flip either way up, and has plenty of power. Also we got some lovely spikes and tough armour.
      Melissa: And what are you hoping to do out there?
      Martijn: Flip, what less?
      Melissa: Have some flippin€™ fun out there!
      Martijn: Thank you.

      It€™s Hardox armoured all over, in different thicknesses, and its flipper can throw over a ton. It€™s powerful with LEM130 drive, which can help the side spikes thwack into opponents€™ armour; it can easily be flipped itself, though, with a ground clearance of 10mm at the rear, and a rather compact design. Is the 23rd seed a big fat liar about its goal of winning the tournament?

      C&B1: Did not compete.
      C&B2: Teamed up with Voltronic on 3rd seed Orka MK4, sending it out, and then took out Novastorm II in Round 2€¦only to fall to The Disc 5 in the Heat Final.

      Burn, baby, burn! The question is, which bot will burn?

      Melissa: The heat is on for Inferno, so what€™s the game plan?
      Paul: Attack Liar 2, because its axles are weak.
      Melissa: Are you sure about this? Axles look quite tougher than the armour itself.
      Paul: Meh, attack anyway.
      Melissa: I see, well good luck to you, you€™ll need it.
      Paul: €¦all right.

      This beast has a spinning disc on top, weighing in at 35kg, and powered by 2 S28-400 MagMotors. Captain Paul Cuomo claims a kJ output of 140€¦I doubt it. Weldox side armour and titanium armour on the top and bottom, and some shockproofing as well compose the protection€¦but there€™s no srimech, and it€™s quite slow. Has Inferno€™s hope burnt out?

      Huh€¦what? No, I wasn€™t dreaming! Seriously! Get that spinner away from me!

      Melissa: You sure have a storeroom full of good names.
      Martyn: I like to think I do.
      Melissa: So it has a spinning bar on top?
      Martyn: Over 20kg of it, and it should rip open panels quite nicely.
      Melissa: Don€™t daydream out there!
      Martyn: Now that€™s just insulting!
      Melissa: Hahahahaha.

      It€™s shaped like Gyrobot€¦and that mean spinning bar can dish out 110kJ, or so I hear from Martyn Forsyth. It€™s powered by 2 LEM170 Lynch motors, so it€™s definitely powerful, but could it be too powerful for its own good? It€™s not good in the pushing department, and it has a 5mm titanium monocoque for armour€¦was this bot a dream gone to waste?

      The Robot Wars Series 2 champs are back at it again!

      Melissa: Shane! Teamed up with Kam Davies€™ team, have you?
      Shane: Indeed I have, Panic Attack is a good machine and we€™re going to kick some robutt.
      Kim: It might be getting on a bit, but Panic is still raring to go, m€™lady.
      Melissa: And what is your game plan?
      Shane: Lift stuff over. Pit too, I guess.
      Kim: Shane€™s operating the weapons.
      Shane: I wanted to drive. :sad:
      Melissa: Aww€¦well good luck out there!

      Good ol€™ Panic Attack, the Series 4 incarnation is here. The Boron Carbide lifting forks are back, as are the skirts and srimech. However, it must be dwarfed over by the other competitors, being around 80kg in weight€¦could Panic Attack be sent running to the hills?

      Roboteers, stand by€¦
      Let€™s have a look at the teams, Paul Cuomo and Shane Swan with Kim Davies in the first booth€¦and in Booth 2, there€™s Marti and Marty€¦I mean Martijn Benschop and Martyn Forsyth. and of course, we have house robots, in the form of Renegade and Matilda!

      ACTIVATE!

      And off to quick start is Liar 2, as Inferno heads for Panic Attack, and You€™re Dreaming€¦just sits there. Liar 2 heads after Inferno, however, who crashes into Panic Attack€™s forks, but glances off them and away, as Panic Attack turns towards them. You€™re Dreaming decides to head towards Liar 2, but the 23rd seed isn€™t interested in the Forsyth machine at the moment, and has its intent on one robot, and that is Inferno, but Paul€™s attention has been caught by Martijn, and Inferno charges towards Liar 2€™s wheel. Liar 2 however outmanoeuvres the disced robot and slides under it, the blades merely glancing off the wedge€¦FLIP! Over goes Inferno, and€¦with no srimech, that€™s all she wrote! Paul shakes his head at this rather humiliating ending. You€™re Dreaming however takes advantage of this opportunity and smashes into Liar 2€™s wheel!

      CRASH!!!

      OUCH! That must have hurt, as the 23rd seed gets flung away, spinning like a tornado, away into the corner, but Panic Attack has taken the chance and charged into You€™re Dreaming, and lifts it up into the air€¦and sits it on its back! And something starts to spin€¦You€™re Dreaming€™s body! The spinning bar and motors are too heavy, and the body is just spinning aimlessly, unable to get righted! Liar 2€¦is okay, and Inferno is doing the same as Martyn€™s robot, simply spinning in place on its back. The Watcher, after a moment€™s pause of possible disbelief at how quickly the two spinners got taken out, starts the countdown.

      And Liar 2 opens the pit by smashing the button with its thwackers, and Panic Attack pushes You€™re Dreaming towards the pit, and it instantly falls in. Inferno however isn€™t as lucky as Renegade gets its mitts on the cylinder and lets the axe fly, as Matlida also comes in! The claws grab on, and another axe blow thuds against the titanium of Inferno, just as Matilda makes her appearance known with an insertion of her flywheel into the ringed side of Inferno!

      CRASH!!!

      And that€™s righted Inferno, who moves away, much of the Weldox torn away as it tries to escape from the house robots, but instead runs into Liar 2€™s flipper, and gets tossed right back over! That€™s the seal of doom for Paul€™s spinner, as Renegade grabs it and shoves it straight into the Disc of Death, lifting Inferno up so the Disc of Death can actually hit it!

      CRASH!!!

      And that€™s scattered much of the Weldox, as Inferno looks more and more mangled, but Liar 2 is becoming impatient, and with a shove to the rear, pushes Renegade towards the pit, and tosses it before Renegade can make a retaliation, and Renegade goes into the pit with Inferno in its grasp! Matilda, angered, backs towards the 23rd seed, but Panic attack comes in from the side and lifts up Matilda, tipping her onto her side!

      CEASE!

      Inferno€™s hopes end in dying embers, as You€™re Dreaming can only dream about what could have been!
      Liar 2 (23) & Panic Attack advance to Round 2!

                  I think Pure Evil and CF will go through, but I want my beloved PA to stack Chris! Even though it probably wont happen because CF is much better than PA :sad:

                    TACTICS
                    Panic Attack, eh? Well, in all honesty I thought the S4 version was the best version of Panic Attack ever made. The only problem I had with it was the fact it was robbed.

                    Anyway, Ill be using the scoop set-up again and my superior speed. I doubt Id win a straight out attack, so Ill just torment him.

                        Lets add 2 and 2 together...2 fights on top of the two already existing awesome fights this heat anyway.

                        Round 2, Battle 1
                        Cyclone Force 3 (7) vs. Panic Attack

                        Cyclone Force 3 will be using the scoop.

                        Roboteers, stand by...

                        Taki III and Shunt patrol the CPZs this fight, though theyd rather prefer kicking stuff around in the scrapyard. Possibly.

                        ACTIVATE!

                        And the 7th seed is off to the quicker start, as Panic Attack bravely rushes out to meet Chris interchangeable robot. The head-on collision, surprisingly, is in Cyclone Force 3s favour and Panic Attack is shoved up onto it, but as the seed turns, Panic Attack falls right off! Cyclone Force backs off to avoid any disadvantage as Panic Attack moves at the side, obviously missing, and moves around to get at the sides, but Panic Attack can turn quite faster than Cyclone Force can, and gets at the 7th seeds own sides, sliding under the skirts and the entire side, lifting Cyclone Force up, and ultimately over, rendering Cyclone Forces X-Terminator-styled scoop useless! Not a good start for the 7th seed, but Chris is far from defeated, as he guns for the pit release button and hammers it, opening the pit, but Panic Attack isnt too far behind and as Chris turns around, the forks sneak under the sides again and lift it up! Chris however is only in trouble for a second, as Cyclone Force, much like Panic Attack earlier, falls off his opponents weapon, Panic Attack failing to grasp a wheel hole. And now Cyclone Force bashes against Panic Attacks uplifted forks! Now its Panic Attack who is on the defensive...in fact, hardly even that, as its forced back across the arena, and straight into the Disc of Death! Normally this would have been very bad, but Panic Attack is just low enough to avoid it. Cyclone Force however has the RW2 champ in a tight spot, and the uplifted forks on Panic Attack ARE in danger of getting smashed by the Disc of Death! Kim tries to wiggle his machine free without tilting too much to endanger the lifting forks, but Chris outplays Kim at his own game, and backs off suddenly, as Panic Attack turns just a bit, and then drives back in, Panic Attack unable to lower the forks or face the front again in time!

                        CRASH!

                        And thats rendered Panic Attacks weaponry immobile, look at that! Bent right at the weapon axle, almost off Id say! Without a weapon, Panic Attack can hardly boast hes better than Cyclone Force right now, and Chris smiles, knowing his inverted scoop has a much better chance right now. Kim however intends to make him pay for that and turns around to expose the rear skirt. Chris turns around too, exposing Cyclone Forces own rear skirt, and both bots bum-rush each other, quite literally! Its Panic Attack in the winning hold, its rear skirt seemingly lower than Cyclone Forces, and...well, it cant seem to wedge Cyclone Forces entire rear end on the skirt! That means Cyclone Force is able to push Panic Attack back yet again! Oof. Right against the wall. Cyclone Force releases, and allows Panic Attack to come back on the attack, Kim seeming to rely on the rear skirts ground clearance, but Chris has played a good game: his opponents game, and seems to be winning bizarrely at it! Cyclone Force comes back on the attack again, and this time both skirts cancel out. Once again Cyclone Forces power comes to play, and the Storm II-alike sends Panic Attack into Shunts CPZ, where Panic Attack would have preferred to be after its opponent had been defeated! Shunt says hello to its old friend by giving it a nice WHACK with the axe, denting the yellow top armour, as Cyclone Force backs off and waits near the arena saws in the middle of the arena. Panic Attack spins around, possibly trying to evade Shunt, and receives another complimentary WHACK before escaping the CPZ and now gets back on the 7th seeds case!

                        Cyclone Force turns around again, exposing the rear skirt, as Panic Attack approaches with its own rear, and again the skirts meet and cancel out...Cyclone Force winning the shoving match and sending Panic Attack straight back into Shunts CPZ, where the house robot proceeds to give Panic Attack another denting blow! This time, Taki IIIs attention is grabbed and she drives out from her own CPZ, Cyclone Force again wisely backing off to allow the house robot room to attack, but Panic Attack gets away from Shunt quickly...only for the 7th seed to shove it back in! Taki does not stop in her approach, but ploughs on and eventually her wedge hits Panic Attacks skirt...and goes under it, lifting Panic Attack up and over! As Panic Attack tries to self-right, Cyclone Force shoves it further into the CPZ and Shunt axes the srimech! And...Taki slams into Panic Attack with the spinning blade while Panic Attack is on its butt-end!

                        CRASH!!!

                        Panic Attack is spun into the CPZ, without a way to self-right, indeed the srimech falls back in as Panic Attack falls on its back, unable to function, and Cyclone Force heads back to the center of the arena as The Watcher moves in for the count and kill.

                        CEASE!

                        Panic Attack is sent screaming back to Cardiff. Neis treio, Shane. :wink:

                        Liar 2 (23) vs. Pure Evil: Back 2 Basics

                        Roboteers, stand by...

                        Triple Big Mac spins to win...win trophy heads, that is, or simply smash them to pieces! Joining him is good ol Growler.

                        ACTIVATE!

                        Flipper frenzy, anyone? :wink: Both robots get off to a quick start, and come together in a head-on collision like the first battle...but neither can get underneath the other! ...or can they? Suddenly the tracks of Pure Evil prevail, and the 23rd seed finds itself lodged onto the wedge of Daniels flipper! Martijn hits the flipper button to try and shake itself off, but so does Pure Evil as it approaches the arena wall, and...THATS IT!!!!!!!!! Holy flying 23rd seeded axlebots, Batman! Liar 2 has been launched over the fence already, can you believe that!? What a toss! I think the extra momentum from Liar 2s own flipper did it, and has sealed Daniel a place in the Heat Final! Martijn can feel the irony from his control booth, as he holds his head in his hands in pure anguish! Surely that cant be it!? I expected a long, drawn out fight! Daniel...isnt too pleased with this either, strangely enough, and decides to entertain the audience...by heading over to Growlers CPZ! Triple Big Mac sees the inevitable and heads over as Pure Evil tosses Growler up, but not over! As the lone doggy tries to get at the sides of Pure Evil and shove it away, Daniel outsmarts the house robot and getting to its own site tosses Growler onto its back! It then dodges behind the inverted pup as Triple Big Mac comes into play, and Pure Evil begins to push the 375kg housie towards Triple Big Mac, who cant get away in time!

                        CRASH!!!!

                        GAH! Growlers whole forehead plate has been removed by that brutal mashing, as Triple Big Mac is flung off its own teammate and across the arena, though thankfully not onto its back. Pure Evil flies out from behind Growler, however, and crashes into the spinner before the hammers can spin up! With a ram to the wall and a single flick, Triple Big Mac finds itself right beside the fallen 23rd seeded Liar 2! Pure Evil isnt done yet, though! It goes over and hits the pit release button, and then goes for Growler, only to find The Watcher in Daniels robots face, trying to push it back! It must be crazy for order, but its only going to get the opposite, as Pure Evil gets under the front easily, and another taking to wall and tossing sends the ref out as well! Growler open its maw in protest, but Pure Evil has already resumed shoving it towards the pit, and inexorably Growler slides down! Well be after you for this, Mr. Stickler, mark our words! :wink:

                        CEASE!!!!!

                        Liar 2 is found as a dud in front of the truth, and is forcibly ejected through the failure bin, as are the house robots (for now)!
                        Pure Evil: Back 2 Basics advances to the Heat D Final!

                          HEAT D - SO FAR...

                          Round 1
                          Cyclone Force 3 (7) & Pure Evil: Back 2 Basics won their battle after Rupture got tossed over the fence, Warhead suffering the same fate later on!
                          Liar 2 (23) & Panic Attack won their battle when Liar 2 flipped over Inferno, and Panic Attack lifted over Youre Dreaming. Both spinners failed to self-right.

                          Round 2
                          Cyclone Force 3 (7) rammed the stuffing out of Panic Attack and eventually got them counted out in Shunts CPZ after the srimech got battered.
                          Pure Evil: Back 2 Basics ended the fight between him and Liar 2 (23) quite quickly, and then took out the house robots!

                              Attach the lifter set-up and do a LOT of evading. Over turn it whenever I can. AVOID the flipper.
