Thanks to Jonno and everyone else for another great event. Has to be one of the best so far this year even through the heat!

I'm really, really happy to have won! Something must have changed this year, I've got to two major finals and not come second in either of them! Also well done to Ant and Kane for a very worthy second place, I honestly thought based off how it was running that day you were going to beat me in the final. That's the best I've ever seen Behemoth run, and it always runs well so that's saying something! Well done to Rob, Gilbert and IA5 for third, the semi final fight was one of the best I've had in ages.

On top of that well done to Will and Ian for getting Manta to run so well in only it's second event, that's going to beat me some time soon I'm sure! Same goes to Jonno and Ripper. It was also nice to see TR2 finally do so well in the loser's melee.

As for our robots, Eruption's the only working one we took home. One motor in Annihilation has finally given up, and one motor in Explosion made a horrible load squeaky noise when it ran for the last time in the bull pen, so that needs inspecting.

We'll see a lot of you soon in Tyneside, and if not at the European champs.

Quick one to say great event. Thanks to the RW/RR crew for hosting it. Was great to see some old and new faces in my 2-3 year absence.
Congratulations to Team Invade, Behmoth and Iron Awe
Watching heavyweights fight was awesome like it always was. Glad the sport is doing well on this side of the pond. Cant wait for the next event. Allready set a countdown app.

Only had a feather with me but enjoyed the carnage and was a great stress test for Trojan III

As always a big thanks to John and all the Robot Wars crew for a wonderful weekend of robot mayhem!!

I went out front to see what it was like as an audience member for the start of two of the shows and it was very impressive. the robots do look a lot better from the front of the stage! the sound quality and lighting I think is excellent.

This weekend must be one of the best for Team Saint both heavies made it to the quarter finals. out of 8 or so seeded robots 3 are none flippers.

Congratulations to Team Invade. Behemoth and Iron Awe. and Zack for getting the Featherweight prize. (Seraph in shock and celebration of this news, decided to cook another battery pack!)

I think we as a movement can be sure of a great future. thanks to the commitment of the EO's and all the teams around the country.

        See you in September.

Thanks to everyone for a really fun weekend! Well done to Michael and Adrian for a great win with Eruption and to Ant and Kane for a very good performance from Behemoth!

Manta had 2 very different days. Saturday was a bit of a disaster as the tyres came off in our comp fight and jammed the drive. We fixed it for sunday and it worked brilliantly flipping robots out all over the place and having some really fun fights with Thor

Looking forward to the next one!

Well there we go, we have crowned the 2013 UK Robot Wars Champion - Eruption.

They have been consistently on form all year, reliability is the key to success no doubt ! Well done Micheal and Adrian.

Behemoth has been constantly improving, and it shows how much work they have put into it !!

Iron Awe easily beat Ripper to take 3rd place, as every flip another bungee chord snapped until eventually there was none!!

A fantastic event as always and the suppoirt from the roboteers is awesome. A great atmosphere in the pits, like a proper community. no fighting ... erm well apart from one team LOL, no politics just good banter and great fighting !!

So we have our break now until October, apart from the 3 day mini tour of the North East. Where in October we start the winter tour for Ripper to defend its title.

Ripper had a great weekend, even though every fight it snapped the bungees! 4th in the uk for a machine which had only done 4 fights before the event is pretty good going. thanks to Gilbert for helping me put the ram back together in about 10 minutes !

Manta was impressive too, and unlucky to be knocked out so early.

See some of you up north, and the rest In Maidstone !!

            Well done guys !

Well done Michael and Adrian, well deserved!

Thanks to Jonno and the RW crew for putting on another amazing show

Loki performed a lot better than it did in Portsmouth with the upgrades. Only damage is a missing block of wood, a few chunks of wood missing and some bent aluminium. Turns out wood and duct tape can hold it's own in the arena

We had a camera on board and am currently editing and uploading so they should appear in the next few days.

We also had a lot of fun in the Battle Rat arena with Nasty Pasty, we acted as the target for the pay to drive bots

Thanks to everyone again and will hopefully see you all again soon!

I agree, this is much better than other attempts at inboard cameras that I've seen. Well done
                    What camera are you using?

It's a 808 #16 with D Lens. It's my team mate, Jamie's camera. Didn't film the first fight as had to prove to him that the robot was strong enough to protect his camera

It is very small and pretty good quality with audio as well Jamie uses it to film from a tricoptor that he made, gets some awesome footage from way up high!
