Jonno, you missed out the most important bit of information for a Welsh event - Are inflatable sheep weight exempt?

Team Saint are booked in, looking forward to this event hope, to have both heavies going. Cherub has no front armor at the moment but should have something soon, TBH there isn't anything in the front to protect!

Ceri I don't know what sheep have to do with robots anyway......

Yay, don't know what the uproar is mind. They weight very little, do very little & are massive liability to whoever has one on their lid.

You do say we should think differently & try different things. So it's a box with an inflatable sheep on top.

Saint and Cherub are signed up, but if there is a 'crush' with the numbers of entries, I can drop one of them .................

Well my magic number is 15 heavies and that makes the format nice and easy, so i'm hoping for that figure and everyone gets a go !!

Not sure how we are chosing the seeds as yet, but as some of the main players wont be there it could be an interesting list of seeds.

Old ripper not going as its been sold and replaced by a new one
Kronic not going as he's got an expo event that day
Maelstrom has been dropped in favour of Manta.

                        Will be interesting !!

Would New Ripper have Old Ripper's past performance considered in the seeding in this case? Just curious, that's all - Old Robot Wars seemed to consider the teams rather than the actual machines themselves when they were awarded seeds, if you get me. A bit like how Panic Attack Gold got a number 8 seed in series 6, despite being a completely different robot from the Series 5 Panic Attack (PA3?) and Gemini was seeded despite being a new robot, but from Team Mace who were quite successful previously. Didn't know if anything had changed in the years since the TV show, that's all!

I don't personally agree that the team should be seeded, I think it should be the robot. I am interested in peoples opinions however.
When Robot Wars brought new robots as a seed and they didn't perform, it made a mockery of the seeding in my eyes.

Therefore, the new Ripper hasn't proven itself to be worthy of a seeding place as yet, neither has Manta and therefore even though as a team we should be seeded due to past performance and I would like my robot to be seeded, I don't think it is fair and so wont be seeded!

Just want to tell everyone why exactly i will not be there.

For the past 2 years i have been saving up to go on a rugby tour from 12th July till 3rd August. This is with my school which is one of the most well known Rugby Schools in Britain. 40 of us are going to Singapore for a few days and will play in the national stadium. Then making a complete tour of New Zealand, before finishing off in Australia.

Obviously this has been planned for a very long time, and i have invested alot of money in it. As such i will be unavailable to attend the Uk Championships. I do hope everyone the best of luck however. And i will hope to see you all either at the Northern Tour or the European championships

Well, it would depend on why they were seeded. You can't honestly say Plunderbird or Sir Chromalot were seeded for combat expertise.
