Hi guys,

I'm building a featherweight at the moment, and was looking to make this my first event. Is there any FW competition at Newport, or will it just be white boards? Or will there be no feathers at all?

Also, it's been about 10 years since my last featherweight event and I'm not to sure about entry. So is it just a case of sign up for FRA membership, sign up on the RobotWars site, and I'm done? Or is there anything else I have to get signed up for before the event?

Guys,

Due to some behind the scenes logistical problems, clashing with some other projects we are working on we have taken the decision to move the event to the week following.

it will now take place on 20th / 21st July 2013.

if any roboteers have booked hotels already, send us your booking confirmation and we will see what we can do about it if you can't move your booking.

Am I right in thinking this is the last RR event til october? I cant see anything on the contrary but that seems a bit weird...

We might be slotting in something special in August so you might get a chance, we've got a lot of opportunities coming up at the moment, not sure what's going to happen, doors are opening all over the place !!

Have you got any idea what dates the event in August would be if it goes ahead?

We'll be booking a holiday in August soon-ish and we want to make sure there isn't a clash

Will know in the next two weeks. Trevor is going for a meeting to work out some logistics.
Then we will set a date, very quickly.

Jonno where do you stay here or has no one booked yet ? I've just noticed the date change so might get rebuild done in time but will be close. Think I will book a hotel anyway, can cancel it later .

Will there be 2 feather matches per show, as in Guildford, or is it all heavies?

We are all booked in to the following hotel, as are some of the other teams.

We will be having feathers, there will be at least one fight per show, I will be working out the show format in the next week or so and annoucing things like, robot seeds, format, judges etc...

Work is now fully underway, and this is looking really good !
