Can anyone confirm exactly where the UK Featherweight Championships 2012 are being held. There is nothing on the Gadget Show Live Website and having contacted them we have been told that it will not be there this year. Whats going on ?

              A couple of wiring questions...

When fitting a fuse to your batteries does the positioning of the fuse make a difference? For example, could the fuse be on the negative side of the battery after all the other components or does it have to bet the first thing in the system?

Then the same again for the Removable Link.

(Cos of the positioning of my weapon motors, weapon battery and my removable link I have given myself a wiring headache, moving some parts will make the system so much simpler to wire and fault find)

Generally speaking its preferred to have it on the positive side so the current doesn't go through the speed controller first.

                On an unrelated topic:

I'm trying to sort out accomondation for the event, cheapest I have found is £86 for both nights. Only issue is its 9 miles away from the venue. Just wondering if anyone had already booked and had a spare bed, or anyone thats not booked would be willing to split the costs of this one ?

The great myth that is which way does electricity flow? I've been told so many different ways that I can't even remember which one is correct now....

Conventional current (traditional version) is positive to negative but electrons (electricity) actually flows from negative to possitive so I think it should be on the negative side.

Or play it safe and have it on both!!!

true electrons are negatively charged so technically the current flows negative to positive, i think originally the believed that they were positively charged so it kind of became the common belief that it was positive to negative .......... lol the only bit i was ever good at in physics (well good ish)

and as far as i'm aware on the fuse side of things it doesn't matter where the fuse goes in the circuit it will still give up when the amps drawn exceeds the rating

However a flow of negative charge one way is the same as a flow of positive charge the other way so positive charge goes from positive to negative so both ways can be seen as right!
