    Here we go with the Heat B final!

    Terrorhurtz took out Ripper with many axe blows and pitting, then went on to beat Wedge Devolution in a HUGE upset, with damage being the main factor.

    Enter the May Tracks sent Son of Ripper 5.0 OOTA after a team-up on Matlida and Growler, before causing another upset in this heat on Mother of all Bricks IE, tossing him OOTA.

    The house robots here are Sir Killalot and Cassius Chrome.

    ACTIVATE!!!

    And off, they are! EtMT drives right into Terrorhurtz and, like Wedge Devo, drives right onto Terrorhurtz and gets hammered by the axe, which doesnt do much damage to the hardox flipper other than a miniscule scratch. EtMT drives off of Terrorhurtz, but the Team Hurtz bot drives into EtMT from the sides, shoving him into the wall, but EtMT easily escapes. Terrorhurtz chases after him, but EtMT reverses suddenly, over one side of Terrorhurtz, who also reverses, but too late, and onto EtMTs flipper€¦in a flash Terrorhurtz ends up on his back, but before he can self-right, EtMT pushes him into the wall and tries for an early OOTA. Terrorhurtz goes flying; however, his axe catches the arena wall and he bounces off to the side, still on his back. As he rights himself, EtMT comes flying in and prevents this as Terrorhurtz falls onto the wedge and is tossed over again! He rights himself, only to fall back onto EtMTs wedge and is tossed AGAIN! This times its into Cassius Chromes CPZ, and Killalot wheels towards that CPZ. EtMT shoves Terrorhurtz into EtMT, who fires the flipper; the big Hz12 is forced axe-first into Cassius Chromes face, and pushes the axe into Cassius Chrome in an attempt to self-right; the result is Terrorhurtzs axe catching a slot in Cassius Chromes armour where the scoop is attached to the body, and this doesnt look good now for Terrorhurtz! EtMT backs away into the pit trigger, opening the pit, whilst Killalot reaches the CPZ, but cant seem to grip Terrorhurtz properly. The other house robot spins around and slams Terrorhurtz into the arena wall, loosening the grip he has on Cassius Chrome, and Terrorhurtz is released, but not for long, as Killalot gets the claw under, and crunches down€¦oh, no, its going to be a loss via pitting! EtMT patiently waits for Killalot to dump Terrorhurtz into the pit, but instead, Killalot turns and, still gripping Terrorhurtz, drives him into the angle grinder. Sparks fly, and suddenly Terrorhurtz finds himself with only half a front panel left! His lets fly the axe, and hits Killalots chestplate, but doesnt really do that much damage, and Killalot turns to the pit, finally. EtMT decides that hes done waiting, and so rams Cassius Chrome head on, but bounces off him, and attempts to go at the side. Killalot turns sharply, dropping Terrorhurtz onto his back, who rights himself, and both Terrorhurtz and Killalot rush at EtMT, who has Cassius Chrome on the wedge and, rather than flipping him, shoves him into Killalot. Terrorhurtz lets fly the axe, which hits Cassius Chrome but no damage seems to be done to him either. EtMT fires the flipper and inverts Cassius Chrome into Killalot, who is all but frustrated as he pushes Cassius Chrome in an attempt to right him and is turned on by Terrorhurtz, who is hacking into the side of Killalot! Sir Killalot turns, and EtMT pushes Cassius Chrome aside, ramming the front of Killalot, and getting under him. However, it seems that EtMT doesnt have the strength to toss Killalot over his head€¦Terrorhurtz, probably feeling murderous, betrays EtMT and attacks him with the axe! Theres nothing EtMT can do now, what with Killalot trapped on the wedge, and not enough power to toss him. EtMT turns at Terrorhurtz and finds the big Hz12 at his side again, thwacking! Killalot finally gets his thread down on the ground, and reverses away. An angered EtMT turns as Terrorhurtz backs away, and hits the spinner button, and the spinner activates for the first time in this tournament! Killalot chases Terrorhurtz down, who tries to attack EtMT, but EtMT attacks Terrorhurtz first, getting under the front now and tossing him high into the air. A great cloud of CO2 is released from EtMT, but that same toss sent Terrorhurtz flying€¦into the pit! BOOM! Killalot chases EtMT around, but Franks creation gets the rear of the big bad knight and tips him onto his face.

    Terrorhurtz was aimed and shot straight into the pit.

    EDIT: Chris, to answer your question from way earlier, La Machine is a long box with a front Splinter-style wedge and a horizontal bar (towards the opponent) in the center-top.

      Yay, I beat Killalot ...Oh, and Im through to the final.

      Not confident about this draw at all, but Im not completely helpless.

      Aaron can correct me if Im wrong, but MDU moves by spinning on the spot, and a little doohicky inside it throws a little weight to make it drift in the right direction. While this gives him unparalleled manouverability, its also his biggest weakness. If I box rush him right from the off, and stop him spinning, he wont be able to escape. I just need to trap him once, then drag him to the pit release button, then push him down the pit. Nothing fancy, hes too powerful to mess around with.

        OK, I guess LA Machine shouldnt be too much of a threat. Flip it around, and feed it to the House Robots. Once hes beaten, THEN Ill attack the House Robots, but not until then.

          Slaying Mantis F VS. Wedga Revo 2.0

          I think this match will end up based on who gets under each others skirts first. If Slaying Mantis F gets under mine first, chances are it will get a grip and do what it likes. However if this happens, Wedga has plenty of armour to defend itself. The other scenario is Wedga getting under SMF so it can control the fight.

          Hopefully using my far more torquey rambot based drive system I can plough under its skirts fairly easily and from there I have the choice of pushing or flipping. In this case, I think flipping is the best option. One of SMFs weaknesses is its slow self righting mech, so Im hoping to use this as my advantage. Once on its back I can then push it around to where I want. Possibly feed it to the house bots to have a play with. I forget if OOTAs are posisble in this tournament, but if so Ill try to get it out the ring while overturned or at least stack it against a wall.

          Should I for some reason fail to get under it, it will just be a case of ramming it around and keeping the crusher and front wedge away at all times.

          For the other fights Ill pick Orka Mk 4, MDU 3 and MSSD. Im looking forward to the MDU and Bore fight. Keep up the good work, Kody!

            Frank, your a bit off in the translational system No little weight transfers to make it move... MDU3 brakes and accelerates each wheel to change its direction of travel.

            Sure, you can try to box rush me, but with 3 x Eteks on 60v with a variable ratio gearing, by the time you get to me, I should be close to 500-600rpm which is enough energy to belt you half way across the arena and spin up even faster

            Add in the abilty to just straife out the road of all your advancing attacks and strike from the sides, I think it should make an interesting battle

            ***Side note, these battles are actually becoming quite interesting as all the tactics these days seem to be half decent Is vapourbots making a come-back?!?!!!***

              Right...hmmm....wedge flipper.

              Well as the armour is quite tough that means Im going to need to be quite careful - get under it and position, Ill have the wire cutter set up - aim to attack it at the joins, avoid the front and try to get under at the sides. Once I get under attempt to position the crusher over the join, pierce as far as it will go while doing a forwards slam it into the side and then preceed to entend the wire cutter, with any luck Ill manage to get something that will cause the pnuematics to leak or a vital piece of wiring.

              Of course if this fails grab his and slam him hard into the walls until he breaks.

                If I get the wedge under, Im not the only one whos going to go flying. Sure, the Bore will be knocked for a loop, but MDU is going to be tipped up briefly, which is all the time it takes for it to spin itself into the air... Happy landings :P

                  I dont mind the air Invertible for the worst case too...

                  Both bots are going to go flying, there is just too much energy in MDU3 to not have them both go flying around the arena. Im just gonna rely on good manuverability, hi-torque drive motors and brute force to win this match... Either way, its gonna be sweet

                  If the bore starts boring people... Maybe Ill retire it for you Frank :wink:

                    And lets get it on! Heres Heat C!

                    Our two devilish mechanos are...

                    ORKA MK4, a Behemoth-shaped terror with a lifting scoop and claw-like device to grab the opponent and lift them. It also has 6WD, a self-righting dorsal fin on top, and 7mm titanium armour...and...

                    LA MACHINE, a very successful and one of the oldest combat robots ever, with its box-wedge design, and ramming spike on top of the wedge. Sporting a powerful drive system, look for this guy to cause chaos.

                    ACTIVATE!

                    Its La Machine, who starts off first, plowing into Orka and getting under the scoop weith its own, throwing Orka sideways as Orka veers off. Orka turns and comes for another attack. As LA Machine turns, this time its Orka who gets under Lachines scoop and immediately, the claw comes into play. Suddenly La Machine is lifted into the air and completely helpless, as Orka triumphantly moves its dorsal fin. Orka backs into the pit release, opening the pit, and wanting to finish this one quickly lowers La Machine down. This allows La Machine to manoeuvre around Orka before he is pushed into the pit, and rams the side of Orka. Furious, Orka drives around the pit and turns to face La Machine, who gets under Orka again and throws him aside. Orka furiously gets to the side of La Machine and throws it over rather than grabbing it...and with no srimech, La Machine looks to be out! Refbot comes over and starts counting La Machine out.
                    1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!
                    Well, this was short lived! It seems the power of Orka was too great for poor old La Machine as Shunt comes over and pushes La Machine across the arena towards the flame pit, giving him a few good axe blows in the process. Sgt. Bash sprays fire behind him as he follows Shunt, and Orka just sits there, waiting. Oooooh...weve got a crispy-fried La Machine in the barbie! Shunt drags La Machine off of the flame pit and towards the arena flipper this time, pushing him onto it. Orka turns and positions himself right in front of the flipper, and WHOOSH! La Machine lands right behind Orka. Orka shoves La Machine backwards towards the pit, and BOOM! Down he goes, out of the competition.

                    CEASE!

                        Zzzz...huh? Whowhatwhenwherewhyhow? Oops, sorry. Here we go with the next battle of this tournament!

                        SLAYING MANTIS F is the champion of the KFFT original tournament in those days, with his uniqge wedge design and skirts, and his Razer-like claw. This time its got a wire-cutting attachment to the claw. Its fighting...

                        WEDGA REVO 2.0, who is a cut-off wedge like Steg 2, but the flipping arm is at the back, and is attached to a scoop at the front. It also has Biohazard-like skirts to prevent being gotten under. Its also got a very low 15cm height.

                        The house robots are...Mr. Psycho & Dead Metal.

                        And Wedga starts off first at a flying start, immediately getting under the Mantis and inverting it with its scoop. The Mantis tries to self-right but being that slow, Wedga turns around, gets under the Mantis from the rear and attempts an OOTA. Fact is, he was too close to the wall, and the Mantis bounces off the railing and lands in front of Wedga, right-side-up. Wedga goes forward, hoping to get under the front wedge of Slaying Mantis, but the Mantis denies this as he gets under Wedga and slams him into the arena wall! Now Alex is trying to position Slaying Mantis to have a precise point where the wire cutter can sink into Wedgas joints, but no such luck. Evidently, the Mantis gives up and decides to grapple Wedga, hitting the armour of Wedga and not really doing anything, but hes got him now! Wedga fires the rear flipping arm, but nothing happens. The Mantis drags Wedga over to the pit release, and opens the pit, but suddenly Refbot intervenes and shunts Slaying Mantis, which means Let him go or Ill disqualify you! The Mantis grudgingly releases Wedga, and Wedga reverses away, turns around, and comes at him with the flipping arm. Unfortunately, the Mantis gets under Wedga again, and begins to clamp down. Wedga, however, has other plans, and he rolls away before the Mantis can sink down the claw. Alex is enraged, as Slaying Mantis raises the claw and chases Wedga around the arena. Wedga rams the spinner button, activating the spinning in the middle of the arena, but a fat lot of good thatll do, hmm? Not really, when it rises off the ground and acts like a disc! But no need, for Wedga collides with Slaying Mantis and brings the Mantis towards the angle grinder, which happens to be a much more powerful disc and SLICE!!! Sparks fly as the Mantis spins away, a scratch made in the armour of Slaying Mantis. Wedga again gets under Slaying Mantis, this time from the rear, and with another POP!, the Mantis is inverted again! Only this time, hes sent flying across the arena! Wedga chases the stranded Mantis and tosses him again before he can right himself, resulting in the Mantis getting trapped upside-down with the claw in the srimech position! Slaying Mantis tries to use the claw but it only pushes the claw into the arena floor! Ouch! Wedga has had enough of this and so rams Slaying Mantis, freeing Alexs crusher but also righting him. The Mantis responds by ramming Wedga into the wall. Wedga turns backwards and tosses the Mantis yet again with the flipping arm...oh no, it looks like Slaying Mantis cant right himself! That ram from Wedga as Slaying Mantis claw was in the floor yanked it in a violent manner, and rendered it immobile! Yet Wedga gives the Mantis another chance by flipping him again. The Mantis does a 540 and lands back on his wheels, getting under Wedgas front and despite not being able to use the claw rams Andys wedge against the wall. Wedga tries to get away but is pinned. Refbot comes by and seperates them again. Poor old Slaying Mantis isnt doing so well now, as Wedga comes in, but rides into the side of the Mantis and pushes him into the wall. The Mantis cant turn, but Wedga releases him fairly quickly.

                        10...9...8...7...

                        Wedga comes in with another ram, and actually does get under Slaying Mantis again and tosses him across the arena.

                        6...5...4...

                        The Mantis bounces into Dead Metals CPZ, and Dead Metal comes out, grabs him, and begins sawing away.

                        3...2...1...

                        Wedga rams Psycho from the front...

                        CEASE!

                        What a match! It seems Mantis broke down a little, but lets go to the judges anyway and see how the fight breaks down!

                          And now, for one of the most exciting match-ups weve got!

                          THE CRASHING BORE is here, with his Hexadecimator shape, rear wdedge/spikes, and front weaponry, which consists of a Mousetrap-style blade, jagged for more damage, and Etek powered. Added to this is a diamond-tipped industrial drill that comes out of the front wedge, used for cutting through€¦anything! The Crashing Bore is taking on one of the most revered vapourbots ever€¦

                          MASS DISCTRUCTION ULTIMATE 3! Look out, for this Satanic full body spinner that is similar to Cyclonebot in many ways. In fact, it is both a FBS and a translational ring spinner, with 9 hardox-tipped teeth to rip through opponent and a 480mph spinning speed. Geared to torque, and invertible, this robot has won the PTT3 and PTT4, and so must be fought only if the opponent can find a weakness, if at all. :wink:

                          W00h00, were startin this thing! MDU is already spinning up, and TCB flies at him trying to stop the spinning motion, but -
                          CRASH!!!
                          WHOA! LOOK AT MDU FLY! The FBS flung himself into the air, about 4 feet! And TCB has been belted across the box, yet unbelievably has taken little to no damage from the hit! This is most puzzling, as TCB comes back for another hit, as MDU lands, and getting under MDU before it has a chance to even START spinning, rams him against the wall and starts hacking away, also using the drill! MDU struggles, but to no avail; eventually, Refbot rams TCB€¦which was not a good idea, since TCB releases MDU and starts chasing Refbot around! Heheeh€¦and MDU is getting spinning again, however not completely up to speed€¦yes, hes there now. TCB, however, is paying little attention as he chases Refbot around. He finally stops chasing Refbot€¦AND ATTACKS GROWLER! That does it, as Cassius Chrome comes flying out and is absolutely CREAMED by MDU as he strolls by. The result is utter destruction as the 250kg house robot gets his scoops ripped clean off and with a clang falls over, dead! Oh€¦my€¦godforsaken eyes€¦TCB continues to attack Growler. Then he gets a strange idea and shoves Growler right into MDU, who is back up to -
                          CRASH!
                          speed - OH GOD!!! Growler is now left without the left side of his skin! By my mothers false teeth, what kind of unholy terror is among us in this arena?! But Growler is not dislodged from TCB, as Frank shows an evil grin and chases down MDU, who bounced away on the hit, and shoves Growler into him ag -
                          CRASH!
                          -ain - WHOA AGAIN! MDUS SPIKES ARE LODGED INSIDE OF GROWLER!!! The audience is in utter disbelief, as Mentrons beloved house robot Growler is taking such abuse, now with the insides in clear view€¦and MDU is stuck! Not moving! TCB releases Growler€¦who bolts away, with MDU still stuck on him! Oh my€¦this is turning out to be quite the match! TCB rushes MDU again, and slams the blade down, causing some damage in the top. Growler turns and shoves MDU into TCB. That releases MDU from Growler, and Aaron frantically tries to get MDU away, who is not spinning, but TCB catches up and slams him into the wall. MDU rolls along the arena wall, falls back down, and gets spinning again! With a horrible jolt Frank controls TCB towards MDU, and the FBS is about to get it -
                          CRASH!!!
                          HOLY FLYING F€¦F€¦ah screw it, but TCB is now left without his blade, which is now about 7 feet away from him!!! MDU, however, has been thrown for a loop, and is now again not spinning. However, it seems that his job is done, for TCB is now wobbling across the arena feebly. The shell finally starts spinning again, and MDU advances on his opponent.
                          CRASH!!!
                          AND AGAIN!!! This time, the left side of TCB takes the hit, and TCB is thrown into the wall, his left side exposed completely! MDU bounces away again, with the shell getting back to speed again, and charges his opponent once more, who is almost dead -
                          CRASH!!!
                          I CANT BELIEVE WHAT IM SEEING!!! MDU HAS JUST TORN UP THE INSIDES OF TCB, AND MOTORS AND MECHANICALS LAY STREWN ACROSS THE ARENA!!! Thats gotta be it!!! And yes, the smoking remains of TCB€¦oh dear. Refbot doesnt even decide to count TCB, out knowing full well that no robot can drive without its motors€¦

                          CEASE!!!

                          Let us now have a moment of silence for The Crashing Bore€¦okay, were done here.

                              Time for our next battle!

                              VAMPIRE KILLER is a robot with a rear plow, side skirts, 12mm titanium armour, and two very powerful horizontal discs on the front. One is one the top, like Surgeon General, and the other is on the bottom. (like his opponent)

                              METAL SONIC SPIN DASH is a low skirted box with a front wedge and sloped sides. It has two weapons; a vertical Pussycat-style cutting blade at the front, and a CO2 arm on the top, though this is mainly used to right itself.

                              Roboteers, stand by...

                              The house robots are Shunt & Matilda.

                              Ha! Were off! And MSSD is flying at Vampire Killer with the speed of...16mph. But Vampire Killer has a speed of 23mph and they meet early on! And CRASH! what a hit! The blow sent Vampire Killer spinning away! MSSD makes the most of the blow and advances on Vampire Killer, but Tony backs away and allows MSSD to come near, while spinning his discs up. MSSD sees this and backs away, whilst Vampire Killer waits. Inevitably, MSSD comes back rams Vampire Killer head on!
                              CRASH!!!
                              HOLY FLYING METAL BATMAN! The vertical sawblade of MSSD has gone flying off, landing with a clatter next to Shunts CPZ! All of a sudden, things have turned for the worse here as Vampire Killer advances on MSSD, who is caught up, and the rear of MSSD takes a huge hit and the panel goes flying off! Steve aint looking too good in the control booth...Vampire Killer advances yet again, yet cheekily perhaps because he doesnt have the discs up to speed, and MSSD capitalizes on this, rushing Vampire Killer and getting under him with the wedge. Vampire Killer is thrown on top of MSSD, and the arm comes out and inverts Tonys killer. However, he is invertible, so it matters not...I think. And Vampire Killers discs have already spun right back up! MSSD backs away yet again as Vampire Killer advances; unfortunately for MSSD, Vampire Killer catches him yet again, and the front wedge is gashed up by the discs. Not looking too good for Steve-O...Vampire Killer again advances and shores off the side skirt, which spins MSSD around, and Vampire Killer is able to destroy the other skirt! MSSD, however, once again gets under Vampire Killer and throws him against the wall, and into Matildas CPZ! Matilda is all too happy to see a chew-toy in front of her, and the vertical flywheel starts making happy noises as the 12mm titanium armour of Vampire Killer is smashed, and the rear plow is bent! MSSD shoves him further into the CPZ, and Shunt flies in, under MSSD, and sticks the axe in, whilst Vampire Killer escapes the...oh no, MSSD has doomed himself by trying to doom Vampire Killer! And Matilda gets her flywheel back up to speed and smashes the front of MSSD, and the panel goes flying off! Vampire Killer looks on, and then gets a silly idea and attacks Shunt! The house robot has only time to turn about 5 degrees before the twin discs rip into his side and rip the plow off of one side! Matilda does not see this, as she currently has MSSD by the tusks, but Vampire Killer makes his presence known by cutting into Matildas side! The body armour goes away like *snaps fingers* that! All of a sudden, the house robots finish toying with MSSD and attack Vampire Killer with the utmost fury, but Vampire Killer has the discs back up to speed and aiming for Matildas own flywheel -
                              CRASH!!!
                              OH DEAR ME! Look at the sparks - Vampire Killer has stopped moving! The heavy blow has just sent Matilda flying, but now Vampire Killer is starting to smoke! Something inside must have snapped when the discs collided! Oh dear! And Shunt opens the pit, but its MSSD who shoves the Vampire Killer down the hole! A very lucky break for Steve, who grins omniously.

                              CEASE!

                                -Ignore MSSD to start with and go straight for a decent House Robot (Shunt, Sgt Bash, Dead Metal and Cassius Chrome are decent, Growler, Matilda, Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho are not).
                                -If one isnt available, go for Refbot.
                                -If I can dispose of that House Robot, attack the other one, but once again only if its decent.
                                -If it isnt, attack Refbot.
                                -Once Ive disposed of both (decent) House Robots, attack Refbot anyway.
                                -If all this doesnt put MSSD off, try to keep front on for as much as possible, so hopefully the scoops cancel each other out.

                                I think thats about it.
