First into the ring of doom and destruction, the kind we (I at any rate) like on Dinowarrior Destruction, is HURRICANE, looking to kick some robot butt. This invertable wedge shape is all about power. Its not pretty, but it does the job. It also has a spinning flail that can cause some damage. A nervous driver could let it down though.
Next to enter is RETURN OF ROADBLOCK. No, this ISNT the real Roadblock, its just a seriously updated carbon copy. 20 kilos of its 99.9 weight is that powerful rear cutter, and it also has a powerful flipper to right the robot if it gets flipped over. Its shape is bulky, and OOTAs are virtually impossible, but it is a dated design.
Finally is the first real robot to enter the clash, STORM 2. This robot is the reigning world champion, after beating Hollands Tough as Nails, and Sri Lankas Supernova. It also came second in RW7, beating Grim Reaper, Firestorm 5 and Tornado, before losing to Typhoon 2. It is all about push, but it also has a lifting arm of some power. Control is an issue though.

We have two pushers and a flipper. Which way will this go? Well, dont ask me! Im just the commentary! Anyways, Storm 2 goes straight for Return of Roadblock. I wouldnt recommend it though, as I heard that ROR and Hurricane are going to team up against you. Hurricane comes in round the back and brings in its own power push! It simply RAMS into Storm 2, but Storm 2 cant be held onto for long. ROR hits Storm 2, but there is no real damage, Storm 2 is built like a brick. No, it ISNT made of bricks! Its a figure of speech. Storm 2 tries to pick off the weak link, and despiratly! ROR hits the pit release, hoping to get Storm 2 in the pit. Hurricane pushes Storm 2 towards Die-Ro, but, sadly for Hurricane and the dragon based House Robot, there is nothing of Storm 2 that is flammable. Storm 2 gets away, crashes into Return of Roadblock. Storm is looking weak so far...OH, AND STORM 2 HAS PITTED RETURN OF ROADBLOCK! Well, you can have all the weapons in the world, you can have the best laid plans, you can team up, but sometimes it just DOESNT work! Oh dear.
Our Sumo challenger against Jakamoko 2 is Clawdius Decimus Murderous, or CDM for short, This wedge shape with a box/wedge back is finelly tuned for pushing. Its claw will not be much use here, but the front wedge probably will be.

Jakamoko 2 is waiting CDM

Off goes CDM towards the left of its armadillo opposition. Jakamoko isnt quick, but he is persistant. CDM gets round the side of Jakamoko and pushes. Jakamoko is heavy, and hard to push. Jakamoko is nearing the edge, but Jakamoko gets away from CDMs push. Back comes Jakamoko, and gets round the side. The two clearances clash. Jakamoko makes a charge...OH, And lifts the skirts! How rude! No escape now, surely! And Jakamoko 2 has pushed CDM off the platform. What a sad end.
The time has come in. That was...34.50 seconds.
Well done CDM, but there are many more where that came from.
Now for some round 2 matchs.

CRUSHA VS HURRICANE
ROBOTEERS, STAND BY
House Robots are Smudge RV and Dreadlocks Revenge

Hurricane starts first, slowly, but will go faster, can actually get up to 40 miles per hour, but the team rarely take it above 20. Its faster than Crusha. Crusha comes in, but Hurricane gets away. Crusha comes in...AND MAKES A GRAB!!! Hurricane, you do NOT want to be in there! Thats suicide! Crusha can puncture...err, hang on...no it cant. The armour of Hurricane is just too tough. Im starting to sense something here. Hurricane is now using superior traction to drive Crusha where he wants it to go. In this case, into the pit release button. Down goes the pit. But Hurricane, not wanting a short fight, pushes Crusha into the crusha-ing jaws of Dreadlocks Revenge. The jaws may not be able to cut through hardox, but it can crush down on Titanium! There are some nasty holes in the armour of Crusha. Theres smoke coming out. Hurricane turns and guides Crusha towards the pit. It isnt going to last long...and Crusha is dangled over the pit. Its just hanging there! After a few seconds, Crusha finally gives up...and lets go!

HURRICANE GOES THROUGH!!!
RIPPER ROO VS STORM 2
ROBOTEERS STAND BY
House Robots this time are Die-ro and Irritator

Ripper Roo needs to spin up before it can attack. Storm 2 knows this, and comes straight onto the attack! BANG!!! Storm 2 hits Ripper Roo and sends it spinning wildly! Well, thats what Ripper Roo is supposed to do, right? Anyways, Ripper Roo tries to get to a corner, but Storm 2 rams it in there. However, both robots are in a CPZ! In comes the dino-bot Irritator! He has two robots to toy with, but on this occasion, he grabs the open lifting arm of Storm 2, and he clamps on, his chisel scratching the surface, nothing more. Ripper Roo escapes, but not before Die-ro comes in and burns the burnt orange paintwork some more! (I thought Ripper Roo was blue) Storm 2 finally escapes, but there is a major problem: Ripper Roo is now spinning at full throttle! Ripper Roo moves towards Storm 2, and the two COLLIDE! BANG!!! STORM 2 IS FLUNG ASIDE! Is there any damage? Well, maybe mental, but what about physical. OUCH! RIPPER ROO HITS AGAIN! Storm 2 is flung away AGAIN! Ripper Roo hits the pit release, where is Storm 2? Oh, now he rams Ripper Roo, gets underneath, but he is close to the pit! Ripper Roo spins slightly and HES KNOCKED STORM 2 INTO THE PIT!!!
S***!! I forgot about Round 2 tactics. Oh well, btw, Chris, if the next fights are on in the next 2 weeks, you decide the fate of my machines but my tactics for Heat C Round 1 with Montys Pass (if Alex wants to, but I mightve forgotten if we did agree to this), is that Ill team up with Tengu 6 & well destroy El Persistance
Actually, Im changing the heat line-up round, like they swapped A and E with Series 7. Im only doing this because Chameleon is in the next heat, and Steven will need to tell me what he wants to do, and hes on holiday too.
Ripper Roo is dangerous, and mustnt be yet to spin up.
I am assuming you are using the robot wars 7 arena here (as I forgotten), so the robots start head-on. This will be a case of trying to get over to the vapourbot before it can run away to get the spinning ring upto speed, then ram into it at full speed, hitting it backwards, and box-rushing it into the pit or into the house robots.
I will get the bin-bages ready, as I am not predicting a good fight for me here.
Right, me and Dave are talking, and weve agreed the same thing, though I hope hell come on to confirm this.
We want a clean fair fight, so if either of us is dead, we plan on pushing it in the pit, and neither of us will allow the HRs to intervene, trying to keep them away.
Now, tactics.
The rule of spinning weapons is that a powerful spiunning weapon will turn both machines around. I do not want to drive up onto the flail, so Ill not attack the front, or the back, I will concentrate on the sides.
The idea will be to hit them, get the weapon back up from whatever speed its lost and hit their side again, doing this repeatedly. They have bad manouvreability due yo too much traction and this means that outmanouvreing them should be easy. If I do go on the wedge, Ill just drive straight up and over it with the tyres as even if we go over, were invertible. The overall result Im hoping for, is that if I focus on the sides, after killing the attachments, Ill be able to get to the drive chain, as the aluminium should rip straight away, and repeated attacks will do the titanium in nicely.
