    Despite the inactivity, I'm moving on with the fights!

    Fight 2
    With Or Without You vs. Magnitude

    From Enschede, Holland...With Or Without You!
    A clusterbot that's actually menacing! One is a Hardox brick with a scoop and 18mph top speed, and the other is a 400+kJ spinner! Which means it's in trouble if it doesn't kill off its opponent in one hit. Both parts of the clusterbot are screwed if flipped, too, so U2 be careful out there!

    C&B1: Didn't compete.
    C&B2: Didn't compete.
    C&B3: Destroyed Hacked Off Ha-ka in one hit, allowing Fatality and Razer to dispose of the other half.

    From Pontefract, England...Magnitude!
    The only real flipper of the heat...not to say it's not dangerous! At the front of the flipper, but seperate from it, is a small lifter to help get underneath opponents, so it's ve-ry dangerous. It also has good armour and a decent drivetrain, but like every other pneumatic weapon out there, that flipper will eventually run out of power.

    Dead Metal...Matilda...get. In. There. NOW! Or no scrap metal!

    Fight time once again, and the clusterbot splits! One heads straight for Magnitude, and it's the rammer! The part with the spinning blade, Without You, begins its slow spin-up speed, as Joey bears down upon With You. Martijn moves With You aside for a side attack but Magnitude easily catches With You, lifts up with the lifter, and wedges it! Joey's plan is to eject both parts from the arena as quickly as possible, and he's making good on that promise, as Magnitude lets loose a gigantic toss and With You...sails OVERTOP of Magnitude! Oh what a miscalculation on Team Picus' part! With You was wedged too far up, and was tossed near terminally! It comes down with a massive SMACK though, and is upside-down! Meaning it's useless! Now on its head and lucky to have survived such an impact, With You dashes around Without You, who has finally reached full speed and now comes to greet Magnitude! Joey hesitates in the booth, contemplating the right approach, and acts. Magnitude drives straight towards Without You!

    CRASH!!!

    OUCH!!! Look what that's done to Magnitude's lifter!! It's warped it to no end! But that's nothing compared to what's happened to Without You, who lies in a heap in an empty CPZ across the arena, its bar gone and itself completely immobile! What kickback! The 100% rule means that With You has to go too, or it'll go to a judges decision. Not that it helps With You much, as Magnitude itself is still alive and kicking! The Watcher is in Without You's face, counting it out as Magnitude stampedes across the arena!
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!

    One down, one to go. And With You deftly swings around Magnitude avoiding the joust, but can't do a thing against those slanted sides! Magnitude turns, but can't wedge it properly before With You is away and after the pit release button, its only hope! Magnitude rushes after it, but the middleweight is too quick and gets out of there! A game of cat and mouse begins, with Magnitude charging aggressively across the arena and With You driving away, unable to get near the pit yet. BZZT! Ouch, With You just got dinged by the arena saws! And that's allowed Magnitude to catch up! It has no problem sliding under the cluster now, and With You isn't going ANYWHERE...but up! Across! And down! A record flip, possibly! Must have been 16 feet up! The bottom line is, With You is out as well now, and Magnitude's moving on!

    CEASE!

    The power may not be With You, Martijn, but the tournament can still resume Without You.
    Magnitude advances to Round 2!

      Concentrate on flipping Hazard over first, and if I can achieve that just keep rolling T-Minus and Killoteeny over and see if they run out of gas.

      I think Magnitude will win the heat final.

        The Unnamed Feeling vs. Killoteeny vs. Hazard vs. T-Minus

        From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, The Unnamed Feeling!
        Very awkwardly shaped invertible robot with 5mm titanium and 5mm polycarb, decent 4WD drivetrain, and a decent 360 degree lifting arm. It has lots of edges for spinners to rip into though, and its mobility is exposed to axes and crushers from the top.

        From Glasgow, Scotland, Killoteeny!
        VERY dangerous Killerhurtz-style axe there, on another box-like shape with a rounded rear, quite big for a middleweight, skirts all around and semispheres on the sides to help it stay upright. Despite this, it only has average drivetrain and poor armour.

        From Los Angeles, the United States, Hazard!
        I think you know why he is feared. Three-time Battlebots middleweight champion, does that say enough? Low box with front wedge ramp, decent drivetrain, and one of the deadliest spinning bars ever on top. Too bad he has mostly polycarb armour, and he's not invertible.

        From the Unites States, T-Minus!
        The one who finally ended Hazard's long winning streak. Two-wheeled invertible box with a gigantic flipping arm that can even right him in a fantastic 540 degree flip. Decent drive and armour make up the rest of the tale, but the wheels, guarded by panels, still are rather vulnerable.

        Tira is a house bot again! Only for this battle though. Joining Tira VI is the recently updated Wedginator X. Enjoy your guest roles while they last, you two.

        The Metallica bot is away immediately, straight after Hazard! Hazard in return drives straight at it, its bar up to speed already! But it has two attackers - T-Minus wants a second victory over it! Unfortunately T-Minus gets a little too close and, without its arm extension on, drives straight up the side skirt into the blade!

        CRASH!!!

        And now you have evidence of why Hazard is so deadly! T-Minus spins off, one of the front panels gashed right open! This of course gets The Unnamed Feeling plenty of time to find Hazard's side and sneak under the new skirts added in Season 5... up goes Hazard, but Killoteeny finally gets some action in the fight by slamming into The Unnamed Feeling and smacking down with its axe! That's...well, that's not done too much to The Unnamed Feeling, but it was a direct hit and the judges must be taking notes on it. At any rate, this distracts The Unnamed Feeling and allows Hazard to drop to the floor and get away. It doesn't get too far, though; T-Minus is angry! And charging! Hazard merely turns though and T-Minus goes straight up the ramp, now perched sideways on it! Devoid of a working weapon for now, Hazard decides to push T-Minus across the arena, and into...

        CRASH!!!

        Tira! And that is a hit! T-Minus is sent spinning into the air, another deadly mark made into its armour, only this blow is far worse than the one Hazard gave it (sorry Tony B)! As Hazard goes to pursue T-Minus, The Unnamed Feeling is warding off Killoteeny, and trying to have a go at the others, but Steve is having none of it! Down comes the axe again, and a tiny dent is made in the 5mm titanium. Andy just decides to fight off Killoteeny now and tries to get the lifting arm in. It sort of does, it slides under one of the skirts, but can't quite get it under the robot itself. In return, Steve turns Killoteeny and delivers another blow. This hits the lifting arm directly on the axle! Andy sees it clearly and winces, wondering if that damaged the arm. But Killoteeny isn't done yet, and manages to deliver another 3 axe blows to the main body of The Unnamed Feeling before The Unnamed Feeling finally manages to get the lifting arm all the way under Killoteeny...oho, the lifting arm is still very much alive! Over goes Killoteeny! Andy smiles, and directs his robot to push Killoteeny over the arena saws. Which casually flick the axebot across the arena like a slingshot! BZZT! Still on its back, Killoteeny rights itself only for The Unnamed Feeling to smash into it from behind and turn it back over! He is then plowed by an incoming T-Minus/Hazard combination, Hazard still parading the launchbot across the arena. The Unnamed Feeling is turned aside, but pushes Killoteeny into and along the wall into an empty CPZ. As Wedginator hurries across the arena to get some flipping action, Hazard slams T-Minus against the wall opposite! T-Minus falls somewhat off the wedge, but Hazard re-positions and drives T-Minus fully back onto it and scoots over to the arena saws. It's then that T-Minus fires the flipping arm, and this frees him from Hazard, tossing itself a bit and Hazard drives under him and out back. Hazard turns about, but T-Minus is already driving...at him! Hazard just reciprocates the action, but a lucky turn has the launchbot at Hazard's side! Hazard backs away in time though and T-Minus tosses air. Thus allowing Hazard to drive under and collect T-Minus onto the wedge again and then drive into the corner where two other middleweights and a heavyweight house robot are. Hazard crashes into the back of Wedginator with T-Minus in front. Wedginator whirls about and shunts T-Minus aside. Hazard just drives right into Wedginator, but Wedginator manages to get underneath Hazard! Not fully under though, but it allows T-Minus to come in for a flip! And...that's a bloody robbery. T-Minus flipped Hazard, yes, but he landed right back onto his wheels! To add to the pain, an escaped and righted Killoteeny drills T-Minus in the rear and brings the axe down, puncturing the top armour! The Unnamed Feeling jets out from behind Wedginator and looks to attack Hazard again, as Killoteeny drags T-Minus around the arena. T-Minus now its own wheels on the ground however, and is fighting Killoteeny's control! At one point they crash into Hazard again, who shoves them towards The Unnamed Feeling. Andy obliges and we have all four middleweights connected suddenly! Andy tries to lift up both axe and launch bots and seems to succeed, however Hazard moves in and oushes the two off of The Unnamed Feeling's arm, getting under the arm itself and pushing Andy's bot across the arena! Killoteeny and T-Minus meanwhile are on their sides, Killoteeny normally unable to stay on its side, however it still has its axe lodged in the top of T-Minus, and cannot get free! T-Minus fires the flipper, and the bots tumble onto their backs! And guess what? T-Minus has a wheel on the ground, and Killoteeny has none on the ground, currently! T-Minus drags Killoteeny around in a circle as The Watcher comes in to have a look...

        Oho! T-Minus fires the flipper, and dislodges itself from Kiloteeny at last, right side up and driving away!
        9, 10!
        The axe fires on Killoteeny, righting it, but too late! It's out! And the house robots know it! Wedginator and Tira leave their CPZs to attack Steve's bot, who tries to go after T-Minus again. T-Minus however has its sights back on Hazard, who has just taken The Unnamed Feeling to the flame pit. Andy is trying to use the lifting arm to push his bot off of Hazard but that's not working too well! But never fear, here comes T-Minus! Oh dear, Hazard forgot about T-Minus! And T-Minus promptly sends both robots onto their backs! And I'd say that's it again for Hazard! The Unnamed Feeling is A-OK on its back. Hazard? Take a guess.

        Killoteeny's beating was demeaning, while Hazard forgets to bring a super duper srimech this time around! Maybe next time, Team Delta.

          Are we ready for a Heat Final? At the very least, YOU had better be!

          Tornado (16) vs. Magnitude

          Tornado will be using the wedge set-up...again!

          Roboteers, stand by...

          In the arena for the house robots, we have King Leer, and his right-hand fool, Cassius Chrome!

          And just like that we have a fight! Tornado is straight upon Magnitude, not scared of that front lifter at all! And is there a reason to be? They're at a stand-still, neither unable to get under the other! This will surely be a test of strength for either team...Tornado tilts a bit, so they're not entirely facing each other now...and slowly Tornado begins to overpower Magnitude! ...and now Magnitude is overpowering Tornado! What a tussle this is! Back and forth they go! Aha! Magnitude is underneath the wedge of Tornado, they are lifting the former Robot Wars champion off the ground...they are driving towards the - a mistimed flip, but a flip nevertheless! And good thing it was so fast, otherwise Tornado would have slid entirely off the lifter! But there you are, Tornado is already inverted and at a huge disadvantage, thankfully inside the arena! Magnitude now can take its time, its shape helping it to fend off all attacks from Tornado! Realizing this, Tornado immediately moves for the pit release button! Magnitude is after it but only catches up after Tornado's already hit the button! Not wedging it properly, Magnitude has to back off as Tornado goes around the pit. We have reached another cat-and-mouse game again as Magnitude hunts Tornado around the pit, the latter hoping that Magnitude falls in. Joey is a rather careful driver though, so Tornado's tactics are misplaced. His pit tactic starting to fail, Tornado spins around, but can't get to the side of Magnitude before Magnitude can spin around! Tornado keeps driving around, but that wedge has a lock on him!

          Knowing nothing else to do, Tornado just drives straight at Magnitude's wedge. Straight up it Tornado goes, and Magnitude immediately drives to the wall, rather 45 degreed to the wall, and launches Tornado off the wedge...and out it goes! What a flip! Tornado lands wedge to track on the wrong side of the arena. Better check the camera tracks for damage after that collision! Joey seems happy and lays down his controls.

          CEASE!

          The wind of change has come...it's blown the Tornado away entirely!
          Magnitude advances to the Series Semi-Finals!!

          Former champion and 14th seed Sheer Heart Attack 2 dukes it out with Dendroaspis!
          Holepunch 2.0 looks to puncture Neo-Mecha's pipe dream!
          And the final Round 1 otherweight melee takes place: UberForce 2.0, Red Knight, Omega-Rex, and The Judge are all contenders in the 2nd Superheavyweight Melee!

            Sheer Heart Attack 2 (14) vs. Dendroaspis

            From Enschede, Holland...former champion, 14th seed...Sheer Heart Attack 2!
            Unchanged since last wars, the 30kg titanium drum connects the drivetrains, the tracks have titanium wedges at the rear, very good drive power, very good weaponry but those tracks looks very much exposed for my liking. He's not Crash & Burn 2 champ for nothing, though.

            C&B1: Didn't compete.
            C&B2: (as Sheer Heart Attack) Defeated Quocunque Jeceris Stabit, The Deer, Aneurysm, Cyclone Force 2.5, Flank Attack: DT, SUNCUST, and finally Tempest Evil-er-oution to claim the crown!
            C&B3: Very surprising loss as, after an intense struggle, Ge5orce managed to pit the reigning champ in its Heat Final.

            From England...Dendroaspis!
            Very tough 6mm Hardox armourment with a 3mm titanium rear skirt, the bottom of the wedge arms activates south to lift the robot and flip robots on its wedge, and it can also spin and damage robots with the two spikes on the sides. Very manoeuvrable, very fast, but...rather poorly controlled, one might say, and by present standards won't damage its foes as much as it likes.

            Sir Killalot's in the arena, he will most certainly make you go bump in the night...alongside Mr. Psycho, who apparently never uses mouthwash. Well, you try telling that to him.

            A Heat Final spot up the grabs; look at the speed of Dendroaspis here, it's already crashed into the drum of Sheer Heart Attack and stopped it! Martijn Benschop is already on tenterhooks here! Dendroaspis is pushing Sheer Heart Attack across the arena...Sheer Heart Attack turns a bit and Dendroaspis races by and bumps into the nearby wall. Not waiting to let Dendroaspis get the wedge in front again Sheer Heart Attack moves forward while spinning the drum up and manages to get a light hit in, tipping Dendroaspis upwards, and it falls onto the stalled drum. Richard however activates one of the lifting arms which pushes Dendroaspis off of the drum as Martijn moves his former champ forward to try slamming it into the wall. However, Dendroaspis can't lower the wedge in time before Sheer Heart Attack has the drum pointed at him again! Martijn guns the motors in a huge hurry and the 14th seed flies at his adversary, however he just misses the tip of the wedge and merely carves into the Hardox. And when I say carved, I mean...um...not. That drum's not done anything to the Hardox, not one thing! Suddenly this battle seems much, much easier for the snake-ish robot! Dendroaspis moves forward aggressively, shunting Sheer Heart Attack backwards and now is able to wedge him into the wall! Now the bottom arm activates and Dendroaspis lifts Sheer Heart Attack skyward...and Sheer Heart Attack cannot drive off, he is caught along the wall there, and now he's at the edge of the arena wall, but Dendroaspis won't be able to get him out, or will he?! Dendroaspis turns around and - no. I saw the plan there but it failed. With his back to the wall, Dendroaspis would most certainly have been able to lift the former champion out of the arena, but he lost control of Sheer Heart Attack and Sheer Heart Attack drove and fell off the wedge. That was some good control by Dendroaspis though, so that counts as major points, should their fates rest in the hands of the judges.

            Martijn isn't keen on letting the judges decide his fate though and Sheer Heart Attack moves away to spin up the drum once more. Dendroaspis is after him, lowering the wedge, but Sheer Heart Attack keeps moving. And turns. But Dendroaspis can smell the tactic from metres away (literally!) and...doesn't come to a full stop? Oh dear, the poor control hurts it! As it tries to re-orient, Sheer Heart Attack manoeuvres into Dendroaspis' side!

            CRASH!

            The hit sends Dendroaspis flying into a 360, but that's about all it does! As Dendroaspis lands, we get a clear shot of the side, and all there is, is a paint scratch! Pretty resistant, I must say! And that was at the drum's full speed! This doesn't look too promising for Martijn! But what looks less promising is the 97kg of wedge returning the favour by smacking into Sheer Heart Attack's drum immediately afterwards! Martijn never got a chance to get away and now he's in for it! Dendroaspis shoves the former champ across the arena, straight towards Sir Killalot's CPZ! What can Killalot do? Oh, you'll see! The knight of the realm grips onto one of the track housings and carries it away! It's lowering him onto the arena saws! BZZT!!! What sparks! What absolute delight for the audience! Sir Killalot continues the saw abuse, and BZZT! More gore! Or rather, no gore. The saws won't do much more than sparks, I'm afraid! And now Sir Killalot is spinning - wa-hey! OHAHAHAHA! Oh dear! Sir Killalot has tipped onto his face! Now what happens? The claw is not activating...so Sheer Heart Attack, I think, is totally trapped! Dendroaspis, after assessing the situation, is after the pit release button as Mr. Psycho moves to help his fellow house robot out! He's in with the claw, pulling...Killalot...what on earth?! HAHAHAHA!!! Mr. Psycho...has killed Killalot! The claw went through Killalot's back armourment as he tried to pull Killalot off his face...and immobilized him! And Sheer Heart Attack is just dangling there, still working but...

            CEASE!

            A temporary cease has been called now, as crewbots move in to separate Sheer Heart Attack 2 from Sir Killalot's...broken claw. Dendroaspis is stopped nearby, and Mr. Psycho has been moved back. But poor Sir Killalot is stuck in the middle of the floor, rear caging torn right out...is that a battery? Whatever it is, it's now being removed from the arena by one of the crewbots, better safe than sorry. And they hurry off...let's go!

            ACTIVATE!

            Sheer Heart Attack has the drum spinning again and Richard moves his wedge in to defy that drum...Martijn tries to turn and hit Dendroaspis' side, but only ends up exposing his own, which Dendroaspis promptly takes advantage of! Martijn however is able to drive Sheer Heart Attack off the wedge before Dendroaspis can get him to the pit. Sheer Heart Attack...heh heh, dodges around Killalot...dear oh dear. Dendroaspis is after him...and greets a spinning drum. But still ineffective is the resulting pummelling from that drum! Dendroaspis, wedging the former champion again! But Sheer Heart Attack drives straight overtop of Dendroaspis! Dendroaspis turns around and greets another blow from the drum! How much more of a beating can it take? Frankly, how much more wedging can Sheer Heart Attack take? Dendroaspis is quick enough to slam it into a wall this time before Martijn could drive off! Sheer Heart Attack goes bouncing away but is collected by Dendroaspis and driven towards the pit! Martijn, his robot stuck diagonally on the wedge, tries driving off again, but he may as well have driven straight into the pit, as one track goes straight into it - OH NOOOOO!!! It's all over!!! Dendroaspis' poor control sent it into the pit!! What a horrible stroke of luck in the Velociraptor camp!! The former champion survives by the skin of its teeth to fight another day!

            CEASE!

            When the going got tough, Dendroaspis got going...down the pit, that is!

              Holepunch 2.0 vs. Neo-Mecha

              From Hoogvliet, Holland...Holepunch 2.0!
              One of the nastiest crushers you'll ever see, pneumatic, can exert a maximum of 22 tonnes at the ram and 11 tonnes at the tip, can penetrate all but the thickest and toughest of armours. Rollcage sort of srimech, 4 centimetres of high-density polyethlene armour, good control but the drive may be a tad weak. Punch a hole in your hopes, for sure.

              From Vancouver, Canada...Neo-Mecha!
              High wedge shape with a vertical flywheel in the wedge, hefty amount of force in it. Hardox armour, good drivetrain...a good all-rounder basically. The wheels are completely exposed though, no amount of skirting can really protect them.

              In the arena...oh! Count Bleck makes an appearance. And so does Rorschach. Be warned, they're not here to make any friends.

              And off we go with second fight of this heat. Samuel's tactics being to 'ram it all day', Neo-Mecha is trying to dodge around the front of Holepunch already to avoid a retaliation, but Leo's able to keep the crusher pointed at Neo-Mecha. Samuel is trying his hardest to get around that nasty front end but the turning speed of Holepunch is just defeating him. So he tries to deke Holepunch out...which ultimately ends up hurting himself as his lack of control causes him to overturn a bit! That's all Leo needs and Holepunch makes his first advance, driving into the wedge of Neo-Mecha and chomping dow - no, Neo-Mecha manages to get away. A very pensive contest, this. Neo-Mecha cannot seem to get around the front end of Holepunch, but at the same time, Holepunch cannot clamp down on Neo-Mecha before he can escape...Neo-Mecha goes for the pit release button, and Holepunch is immediately after him. But Samuel gets there quickly, and the pit descends. As Neo-Mecha turns, however, Holepunch crashes into the side! And...oh dear! Pneumatic indeed! Look at the damage to that tire, that's not going to work right anymore! Not for this competition, anyway! Leo isn't concerned about doing much damage, though, and you know what's going to happen now! Oh yes! The pit Neo-Mecha just opened becomes his early grave as Holepunch deposits him into it and ends this incredibly short fight!

              CEASE!

              What a de-revolution that was! Neo-Mecha crumbles into parts unfit even for use by Dr. Manhattan!

                  Nice battles, as always.

                  UberForce 2.0 vs. The Red Knight vs. Omega-Rex vs. The Judge

                  No specific tactics here - just push my opponents about and make use of the hazards.

                  It should be a good heat final, but I think Sheer Drunk Attack can edge it.

                    Holepunch won in the MM quarters, he could win again here. Very possible for SHA2 to wing it as well though.

                      Six wheels, great drivetrain, thick Hardox armour, wedge shaped, unstackable...the good stuff, really. Won't get under worth a damn inverted, though.

                      The main attack comes from the horizontal flywheel mounted on a turret, connected to a robot with 4 wheel drive. The turret, however automated, is slow though and the robot moving the turret is not so great, with weak armour and high ground clearance.

                      From Cardiff, Wales...Omega-Rex!
                      Huge flipping power! 6mm Hardox monocoque! ETEK drive! Lots of batteries! What's not to like? From the looks of it, I'd say the yawning ground clearance at the sides and rear.

                      From the United States of America...The Judge!
                      Without a doubt one of the most powerful hammers to grace the combat robot field. Box-wedgy with steel armour, but slow to turn and has a high ground clearance all around.

                      And off we go! There's UberForce, he's looking good, wargh. But Omega-Rex is looking even better, coming out immediately and getting a slight, but meaningful side-on flip on The Judge! The Judge self-rights quickly but is overturned into a 540 and shoved into the arena wall! Meanwhile, the Red Knight has attacked UberForce but the disc hit does nothing to the front wedge of UberForce and Red Knight is shoved backwards! The turret is proving difficult for UberForce to manage but Red Knight does not have the torque to match up with Andrew's machine and suddenly Alex finds his own machine against the arena wall as The Judge has been! But The Judge won't be around forever, as another flip from Omega-Rex and The Judge is already out! What a disappointing end for Joshua Little and his famed hammerbot! Liam then goes over to help Andy out...it's certainly effective, that flipper! It plows into Red Knight's main body, UberForce having pinned the turrent, before sending it flying! It hits the corner and lays there trying pitifully to self-right, but the story is all Liam as Omega-Rex gets its 2nd OOTA and Red Knight crashes down on the other side of the fence!

                        Holepunch!

                        My drumbot will aim for that bulky side or rear of Holepunch, its that simple, but time will tell if it will be simple to pull off too. SHA's attack weapon is wider than Holepunch' so it will have less trouble lining it up and aiming it, but heck, that's all theory. Also, SHA has no big chunks of body panel to crush down... if anything is attacked by Holepunch, please let it be the drum, so that Holepunch will hurt itself before it hurts SHA. Given SHA's tracks, Holepunch will have a hard time truely wedging SHA, SHA's tracks will probably be on the ground at all times, which means that if he threatens to catch me, I will drive away ASAP (hopefully after doing some damage first).

                        Would be cool if I can topple him over more than once.

                          Attack him, Rolling pin can move quicker, at least in a straight line anyway. XD Keep disk pointed at him, since it doesn't really matter where I hit him since he's all drum, and send him back to the kitchen where he belongs.

                            And off we go! It's the former champion off to the quicker start, surprisingly, and Martijn wants to bury that drum right into the sides of Holepunch, or rear if he can get it! But Holepunch is looking the more careful of the two and is making sure to keep the front pointed at SHA...so nothing is really getting done. SHA drives around, Holepunch turns. And this goes on for a while, unfortunately. The crowd isn't too happy with this! Something had better happen soon, gents! And something eventually does! Holepunch overturns, exposing its side! Something that Sheer Heart Attack won't say no to!

                            CRASH!

                            One gratuitous SMACK later and Holepunch finds itself inverted! But not for long, though, as the curvy rear end acts as a rollbar and turns Holepunch back over...with SHA chasing! SMACK! Sheer Heart Attack gets in another hit before Holepunch can even drive away! It's not as big a hit, but Holepunch is again overturned! And SHA shoves it against the wall! Oh no! It doesn't look like Holepunch can roll back onto its wheels from that position! And I think that is it, as the former champion backs off to admire his work! The puncher fires, but that doesn't help Holepunch one bit! And now the countout is coming, what a disappointment...

                            I don't think this is how Team RCC intended to go out, but they've gone! And now...the house robots can have a go - here?! And what is Sheer Heart Attack doing?! It's gone after Sgt. Bash! SMACK! It's FLIPPED Sgt. Bash! And we know Sgt. Bash can't self-right! And the gaul is not happy, but having slammed Holepunch away...the crusher can re-right! And now it's 2-on-1! A smirking Leo decides to help Martijn rid the arena of the DarkZlayer! Well you'll have to be quick boys! Asterix rams across the arena, straight into the drum of Sheer Heart Attack, and literally sends it flying! Carrying through its momentum, it slams the landing ex-champ into the wall, and it bounces away! Holepunch is back, though, and he attacks Asterix from the rear - ooh! A lovely clamp there! It's wedged the house robot! It's beached the house robot! It is carrying the house robot over to the pit...and Sheer Heart Attack is going towards the pit release button! Really now, you menaces! Picking on our poor robots! Down goes Asterix, oh he WILL remember this humiliation!

                            CEASE!

                            Holepunch 2.0 couldn't dent the ex-champ's spirits, but he certainly punctured the house robot's pride!

                              Gabriel V vs. Shovearound 2.5: I shall be leaving the skirts on Gabriel off since, if Shovearound does get under me, I want to be able to drive straight over the top and back down again, and the skirts would impede that. Also it would probably get underneath anyway :P

                              I am fairly certain that if I charge head on at Shovearound, deviating slightly from the vertical and scraping the nose on the floor, the front steel point will go between the forks on Shovearound and bend them out of the way, allowing me to cruise straight in underneath (or possibly leaving me with a helpless three tonne robot stuck to my nose). From there I shall try and flip it into either a damaging house robot, or into the pit, or out of the arena. If I do manage to bend those awfully thin looking forks it will probably lose a lot of its front lowness, so the chances of it getting under are small.

                              Bobcat vs. MicroForce 3.0: I am really glad this isn't TransparANT as I would be out of the arena really quickly if it was, heh :P I shall use the superior speed from the gearmotors to get around the side, get under MicroForce enough for the crusher to go down and hold it there, and then just drag it around to the edge and get it over. Should be (note 'should', this is an indication that it could all go wrong kiddies :P) fast, quick, andefficient.

                                Raging Tempest (12) vs. Symmetry

                                From Gainsborough, seeded number 12...Raging Tempest!
                                Meant to bounce away from the competition rather than stay near, is your basic cylinder with a 4mm Hardox ring, invertible, and UNbasic two LEM130 motors powering that ring...able to generate 70kJ even while bouncing away! It's not got the best drivetrain though, nor good pushing ability...or top armour, for that matter.

                                C&B1: (as Tempest Evil-er-oution) Fell to Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus in its Heat Final.
                                C&B2: (as Tempest Evil-er-oution, seeded 14th) Made it all the way to the Grand Final, but was denied a title by Sheer Heart Attack, losing a close judges decision.
                                C&B3: (as Tempest Evil-est-oution, seeded 2nd) Gave out more than it could, but Envy took all that and more, and the battered realie managed to pit the beast just before the clock ran out in its Heat Final.

                                From Hoogvliet, Holland...Symmetry!
                                A large robot, nearly twice as big as its opponent, with 2 counter-rotating discs powered by Perm 080 motors, the armourment is Hardox, the drive is Bosch 750, the drivetrain is 2WD...but 4WD in actuality like Crushtacean. It won't last long with only 4 blocks of Li-Ion batteries though.

                                The super spinners head straight for each other! Tempest isn't near full speed yet, though, while Symmetry is! They crash, predictably...

                                CRASH!

                                And the collision isn't that impressive, but it does send Tempest flying backwards, with no real damage done. Also remaining unsuffered is Symmetry, who is back on the aggressive. Tempest is spinning up again, and this time he's building up steam! Symmetry IS at full speed now though, and gets to Tempest immediately!

                                CRASH!!

                                There's a bigger collision and Tempest ricochets into the wall beyond, while Symmetry is spun around into a 900! Yes, I counted all that. Again there's no signs of damage between the two, and Symmetry turns around to attack again! But this Tempest is running away to spin up better! Symmetry chases him down, but Tempest is quite near maximum spinning capacity! And he achieves it just as Symmetry smacks into him a third time!

                                CRASH!!!

                                Tempest pinballs away like a hockey puck off the boards, while Symmetry just spins in place from the hit! There's very little evidence of damage on Tempest's ring...but I'm not too sure whether it's doing any damage to Symmetry either! Or at least to its bottom disc, which keeps hitting Tempest. And now it's back on the attack, some courage, this. Tempest is away, spinning up, almost caught, turning away, Symmetry closing in...too late!

                                CRASH!!!

                                Tempest rebounds directly off the wall and back into Symmetry, stopping Leo's creation from spinning around too much, and...well Tempest doesn't have the best pushing power but look at this! It's trying to push Symmetry backwards! Well the motor advantage Tempest has, but it has...very little traction on the arena floor which helps it when trying to get away, but not in a pushing match! Symmetry on the other hand is able to get all its drivetrain to the arena floor and that's enough to push Tempest backwards! Frank realizes this and tries moving backwards, but Symmetry's after it - ooh...nearly a nick from the arena spike there, be careful to avoid that, gents. They're spinning again, and ah! Tempest's away! Towards the middle of the arena! It's spun up! But look at the determination of Symmetry, it is aggressive as all hell here and not afraid of the spinning ring at all! Well I know I would be, and here now comes an equally aggressive Tempest!

                                CRASH!!!

                                OH! Goodness me, even I could feel that one! Tempest goes pinballing again and Symmetry is moving around...hang on...what's happened to the bottom disc?! Has it lost all power?! Has something...discombumbulated it? All the biffing and bashing from the ring of Tempest, has it disabled it?! There really is no external damage, but - ey! Symmetry is back in Tempest's face again!

                                CRASH!!

                                And is spun away, just like its prey! How much more can these two take?! ...Tempest's bounced into a CPZ! With Matilda in it! Oh no!

                                CRASH!!!

                                And Matilda's flywheel smacks into Tempest's ring! It's flipped Tempest! It's ripped Tempest! It's got Tempest stopped from spinning up! It's got Tempest about to take a slam from Symmetry! And that attack...didn't do much. Ooh...Matilda's spinning back up! Tempest tries to get away, but Symmetry is...backing into it! It's pinned Tempest! And Matilda comes in again!

                                CRASH!!!

                                THAT'S IT!!! IT'S OVER!!! Tempest has jumped the fence!!! Oh dear!! Do you see now the power of Matilda's flywheel? Just a brutal shot directly to the ring of Tempest...and out shoots the C&B2 runner-up! What a terrible shock! But Symmetry has won this battle!

                                CEASE!

                                Raging Tempest turned into A Midsummer Night's Breeze! The 12th seed is catapulted out of its 4th war!
                                Symmetry advances to Round 2!
