    Ge5orce (4) vs. LockJaw v3

    Hmm, this one will be tricky, so I'll have to be patient and wait for the right moments to flip it. Hopefully it won't be able to cause me too much (if any) damage though. Lure it near the walls, get under whatever I can, and just launch it (preferably OOTA).

    Keep going, Kody, there has been some excellent battles recently.

      Ge5orce (4) vs. LockJaw v3

      Roboteers, stand by...

      Ugly, aren't they? Nah, I'm talking about Cassius Chrome and Rorschach, the house robots for this match!

      The match starts with Ge5orce heading away from LockJaw...and driving near one of the arena walls! LockJaw just pursues him with all its 2 wheeled might...and Ge5orce turns all ITS 2 wheeled might! Both clearances clash...and LockJaw wins out! But before he can clamp down, the flipper of Ge5orce fires and knocks LockJaw away a bit! Shuddering as the shock of Ge5orce doing that is, the angering part is the 4th seed managing to slip away! LockJaw gets its bearings back and blazes after Ge5orce, but the sudden pirouette of Ge5orce sees its front end hit LockJaw's...and this time Ge5orce wins out! LockJaw is wide...but that means one wheel pod is hanging over the side of the wedge! LockJaw can't exactly go places with one wheel, and there is a trip to the wall by Ge5orce! A toss later, and LockJaw...finds itself ON the railing! Oh dear, de-ja-vu, anyone? Andy is absolutely stunned that this has happened AGAIN, as LockJaw has itself situated on the arena railing, one wheel pod over the arena, the other over the camera tracks...and it's wobbling...! And it's teetering...! And it's...subjected to a flick of the flipper by Ge5orce! And obviously that's it, as LockJaw tips, tops, and topples out of the arena! Score another OOTA for the 4th seed...but it feels its work hasn't been duly achieved and takes a trip to Rorschach's CPZ! It easily slides under the scoops and flicks the huge house robot onto its back, from which it cannot self-right at all! Cassius Chrome barges in, bur not before Ge5orce turns its wide snout towards him next, and Cassius Chrome rides straight up the wedge! Cassius Chrome is popped, but before it can be wholly overturned, The Watcher crashes the party and gets behind Cassius Chrome! It pushes back...but Ge5orce moves back a bit and THEN flips...and the 200kg of NON-Robot-Wars-Series-2-Finalist-Cassius tips onto The Watcher, upended! Ge5orce darts away before the ref can figure out what the bloody hell to do, and slides under the ref too, tossing him over!

      CEASE!!!

      LockJaw gets a jawbreaker and is locked away for the long journey home! v4 sound like a good idea, Liam?
      Ge5orce (4) advances to the Series Semi-Finals!!

      THE LAST HEAT! Runner-up and 2nd seed Achilles will attempt to make Dervish: the l33t Generation heel to his mighty flipper power!
      Lethal Weapon takes careful aim at the doomsday target that is Apocalypse II!
      And we'll get started with our 2nd batch of Round 2 fights, as Stewie and Wedge 3mm duke it out to see who'll take on Bobcat for the Antweight Final!

        Hey, look who this is, an older, more mature Paul Cuomo

        Kody, whilst I haven't been here in a while, I have been reading eagerly up in this tourney, mainly 2 see my progress, which is a bit lame but nevertheless, this has been a wicked tourney, well done 4 it.

        I predict a shock exit of Achilles at the beater of Dervish, and then Apocalypse II to win the second match, then the heat For series victory, I believe that GeForce stands the best chance atm, but I eagerly await the next matches.

            Well I had to come back some time
            Btw, I know it's been ages but is there anyway you could hunt down the stats for my old team like Inferno, Worck-er and others, it's just I'm planning improvements and the like to them but need the stats as a template and such.

            And don't worry, I'm sure the fights ur working on will rock!!

              the best thing I can say to you now is take 1 or 2 of your old favourites, improve them/make them more realistic, and then look for some more help HERE viewtopic.php?f=201&t=2107&start=1020 to end up with 1 or 2 top notch fighting machines to enter here and there

                Thanx muchly Martijn, u amazing Dutch person

                I've still kept many of my old stats, but there are some I'm no longer keeping/changing. I've made changes to Heyght, mainly in the design description because it's hard to understand but also in the design in general, Inferno is now called Volcano and is slightly quicker and has a bar-typed support across the disc that acts as a Tornado Mer like self-righter and The Rock has now become Supersonic after the Oasis track of the same name, and is a new design but with some similarities, so watch this space

                      Fight 1
                      Achilles (2) vs. Dervish: The l33t Generation

                      From Geddinton, runner-up and 2nd seed...Achilles!
                      One of the most feared box-wedge flippers out there, and it has proven to be so with its pneumatic/hydraulic capabilities in every FRA tournament it's competed in! Extremely powerful drive, tough armour, proven to get under the lowest ground clearances...the name is misleading, as there are no real Achilles heels to discern, here! He's ready to go one step further!

                      C&B1: Didn't compete.
                      C&B2: Lost a judges decision against 6th seeded Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus.
                      C&B3: Made it all the way to the Grand Final, and in the quite climactic battle, it just barely lost the judges decision (it was even until the damage category, which he lost by a point) to 27th seed Disco 5, who was crowned champion.

                      From Merthyr Tydfil, Wales...Dervish: The l33t Generation!
                      Will beat you up into whipped cream with the 1500rpm eggbeater-style weaponry in the middle of the two wheel-pods, which are powered by MagMotors on 36 volts. The pods are made of Hardox and come to an angled point to prevent it from resting on its side...but stop the beater, and you can ram it around all day, it hasn't got good pushing power...

                      C&B1: Didn't compete.
                      C&B2: Didn't compete.
                      C&B3: (as Dervish: Generation X) Met an untimely demise in its Heat Final, when 19th seed Wedge Devolution pushed it into a CPZ and the house robot Triple Big Mac bashed in one of Dervish's wheels.

                      Achilles (2) will be using the pneumatics this time around.

                      Roboteers, stand by...

                      The house robots today are Hexadecimal with the 360º lifting spikes and cutting blade underneath, and Exa-Gore-Ic Evo with the massive horizontal jaws and punching spike!

                      ACTIVATE!

                      Achilles blasts out of its starting spot, eager to justify its silver medal! Dervish, in return, heads straight for him, the beater spinning madly! Unfortunately Achilles slams straight into him and one of the wheel pods gets in the way of the beater, Achilles hitting the pod with the flipper, and wastes no time in tossing it! The gyroscopic Dervish seems to merely float a bit before coming back down, suffering very little damage/recoil! Achilles does not let up and rams into him, this time taking a good-sized blow from the beater, but even so it glances off the wedge and sends Dervish backward! Achilles' great torque is helping it here, but as it gets Dervish close to the wall it cannot get enough leverage to toss Dervish out, and merely contents itself with throwing Dervish sideways, end-over-end across the arena floor! The beater-bot finally comes to a rest, but before Dervish can get its bearings back, it's rammed again by the seemingly unstoppable force that is Achilles, and is thrown...straight into Hexadecimal who Achilles then flies into, but is penetrated by the spikes! Hex tips them up, but Achilles fires the flipper, jolting himself loose, and backs off, as Dervish...oh dear! Well the beater design certainly doesn't help it there! Two of the spikes went through the open space of the beater, pinning it in place as Hex lifts Dervish completely off the ground and into the air! But now two of the surrounding spikes conflict with Dervish's main body, so Hex cannot fully take advantage...but Achilles certainly will! The 2nd seed slams its rear end across the arena into the pit release button, and we know all too well what happens after that! Hexadecimal twirls around like a psychopath, the pinioned Dervish helpless to do anything about it! And as Hex spins...the spikes lower! Dervish is flung to the middle of the arena, much further than the pursuing Achilles anticipated! Furious, Dervish spins its beater back up and manages to sneak past the box-wedge, and delivers a nice hit to the side!

                      CRASH!

                      Achilles is overturned, and there's a great dent in that 5mm titanium side, but Achilles self-rights...right in the path of Dervish's beater again! CLANG! Achilles is nearly popped over again, but falls back onto its wheels, and Dervish can't hit it with a stopped beater! Now it's Achilles' turn to get angry, as it turns and shoves Dervish back! The shove turns into a full force pulverizing against the arena wall, Achilles not bothering to use the flipper here as Dervish bounces away, the arena wall groaning from the impact! Dervish skitters away but is closely pursued by Achilles, and it fails to dodge aside in time...as Achilles rams into the beater-bot and with one great shove sends it into the pit, followed shortly thereafter by itself!

                      CEASE!

                      The l33t Generation sure looks LOLzy, as Dervish is backspaced from a Round 2 headline again!
                      Achilles (2) advances to the Heat P Final!

                        From Oswego in the USA...Lethal Weapon!
                        A robot that lives up to its name! It's a skirted box with a curved front, which holds a 30kg spinning disc that can produce very well over 100kJ! 3mm Ti/V alloy armour is decent, and 4WD with A28-400 MagMotors powering them are decent as well. However, tight dimensions could have it seeing massive manoeuvrability problems.

                        A low Storm II-type box with a rounded rear and a 4-bar flipper capable of massive power, but the supply is extremely limited at only 10 flips. Mainly clad in Hardox armour, and has a powerful drivetrain. Barbs on top help keep them firebrands in check as well. That said, it can be flipped, itself. Easily too.

                        Apocalypse is out immediately, but the very powerful disc climbs to supersonic speeds just as immediately! But...really, now! Liam directs Apocalypse to crash right into the disc!

                        CRASH!!!

                        But thanks to the speed of Lethal Weapon's disc, Apocalypse gets tossed anyway, despite the angled front! And has a nasty scar to display the sheer strength of that disc, the flipper showing it off for all to see! Lethal Weapon however got tossed by the blow, and is near the wall! Apocalypse speeds back in to get rid of Lethal Weapon, but he's already gotten away from the wall! Apocalypse crashes into him anyway, but wanting to conserve power merely pushes him into Shunt's CPZ! Shunt brings down that feared axe...but what's the fear about, per se? Being a diamond-edged axe, it should have done more than a mere paint chipping! But that's what's happened, and an outraged Shunt proceeds to hammer it mercilessly! That is, until Lethal Weapon manages to sneak away from both it and Apocalypse, and spin its disc back up! Liam gets back on the attack, with a slam to Lethal Weapon's visage!

                        CRASH!!!

                        However, the same area is carved into again, and gaining some purchase by doing that, Apocalypse is flung across the arena as much as its adversary! The front of the flipper is now very badly scarred, and will it work properly now? Lethal Weapon is spinning its disc back up to speed again, but its movement already seems hindered! Perhaps the shockproofing inside isn't enough to cushion the massive blows! Apocalypse comes back in, but wants to avoid the disc now and swings around to Lethal Weapon's side, but as it tries to ram it, Tony spins Lethal Weapon, slowly, but enough for the disc to catch the front corner of Apocalypse II!

                        CRASH!!!

                        More spinning action, and afterwards Apocalypse looks to be the slower one, losing much of its former momentum! Lethal Weapon looks a bit sluggish still, but now goes on the offensive...but first it has to spin its disc up! Apocalypse wheels in to try and stop the disc but now Lethal Weapon is (slightly) faster, and moments later that disc is definitely back at full speed! Too late, Apocalypse goes in anyway, and as Lethal Weapon bites in, Apocalypse fires the flipper!

                        CRASH!!!

                        Oh my! Lethal Weapon got some big air! And crashes harshly onto its wheels...is that it?! Lethal Weapon seems to have stopped moving! But Apocalypse...also isn't moving! It's been battered into submission, with a massive crevasse in the flipper plate! Both robots are knocked out...I think you know what this means!

                        CEASE!

                        Lethal Weapon - Apocalypse II

                        Strategy = 0/5 - 5/5
                        Style = 6/10 - 4/10
                        Control = 6/15 - 9/15
                        Aggression = 4/20 - 16/20
                        Damage = 22/25 - 3/25

                        TOTAL = 38/75 - 37/75

                            So the heats end! And this battle's just beginning! Achilles roars in again, and straight into the disc of Lethal Weapon, who barely gets to half-speed when the 2nd seed bulldozes him into the wall! That's 5cm of solid Hardox, folks, as you well know, and being mashed against it at speeds of 18mph cannot be pleasant! None too pleasant is the path of trajectory, either, as Lethal Weapon is sent reeling from the collision and bounces onto the arena spike, which pops him up and stuns him...all for Achilles to take advantage of! A burst of speed sees Achilles at the rear of Lethal Weapon, and the disc is spinning up! Tony tries to turn his machine around and whack Achilles with the disc, but the lifter of Achilles pops up slightly, raising Lethal Weapon's wheels completely off the ground! Now in complete control, and with an extended running start, Achilles hurls the foe it has trapped, straight into the arena wall, full-force!

                            CRASH!!!!

                            OUCH! I think everybody heard that! That was a cataclysmic collision! Oh yes...definitely cataclysmic...for Lethal Weapon, as it's bounced away! While it is still moving, the disc is not! It's completely bent downwards! And I'd say the hopes of Lethal Weapon advancing to the Series Semi-Finals have been bent...out of shape, that is! Achilles comes in again, Lethal Weapon too slow to avoid it, and lifts Lethal Weapon into the air, with another great SLAM into the arena wall...it's stacked, pinned in there...oh dear! The skirts don't prevent the main body from being stranded...so I think that that's game! ...but Achilles comes in again! The lifter is under...and they're out! Lifted out of the arena, Lethal Weapon crashes down, and Novastorm won't have a brother to join it in, because Achilles moves on!

                            CEASE!

                              Right, after failing to make animated intros, I had planned to do some sort of a video intro anyway, without them...but now even that is out of the question. So, without further ado, I give thee...a presentation of...

                                Seeing as a completely fudged up by predictions for that last heat, I'll have another go here, and hopefully it will work out better.

                                THE CRASH & BURN TOURNAMENT 4 SERIES SEMI-FINALS

                                Semi-Final 1
                                Sheer Heart Attack 2 (14) vs. Venus Fly Trap (11) - having a look back at the designs, I think that Steve has it much easier in this fight; to stop the drum he just can drive in and get under and push SHA2 around and because of the sloped sides, he won't be able to effectively flip and damage Venus Fly Trap. In short, the 11th seed is going on.

                                Orka RV (6) vs. Novastorm - Having a look at both these stats, I am unable to call it -Novastorm has the more power and speed, but Orka has a btter weapon and maybe better control. If Orka gets underneath and gets a good shot in, Orka will win.

                                Achilles (2) vs. Magnitude - Again, another hard one to call. Given the power and torque given off by Achilles, I believe that he will get underneath and do literally whatever he wants.

                                The May Tracks Has You (13) vs. Ge5orce (4) - Dammit, another hard one to predict! Ge5orce is much more likely to get a good hold on May Tracks, therefore May Tracks is going OOTA...but I may be wrong

                                Semi-Final 2
                                Under Pressure (9) vs. Gabriel IV - This match I belief poses a greater challenge for Under Pressure, where Joey can simply drive underneath and have a greater chance of throwing him obout the ring. Joey FTW

                                Wedge Devolution (10) vs. Black Panther - Depends who gets under who first...but I honestly couldn't call it.

                                Ringwraith vs. The Crashing Bore 2 - Ringwriath is the contestant least likely to get caught in that mousetrap weapon and in turn can constantly hit TCB and damge him for JD points and a possible KO.

                                Mobile Failure vs. Disco 5 (1) - Disco 5 to win - the Titanium armour may hold up for a little bit, but not for very long I don't think.

                                Good luck peeps and great tourne Kody
