Re: The Crash & Burn Tournament 4
Awesoime fights, and very nice renders - mind if I nick them for my official pics?

That was a crowd pleaser, no doubt, but Orka has to win if he wants that first spot in the Grand Final! Chris turns his machine around and with a icy jolt sees the tracked drumbot bearing down on Orka! He's not far enough away for a built-up ram into Martijn's machine, but he's too close to the wall...AND Sheer Heart Attack as well! Knowing nothing else to do, Orka drives straight into Sheer Heart Attack and this time pays dearly for it! Sparks fly and so does Orka - 180 degrees and 5 feet away, to be precise!
Not to mention there is a severe lack of quality in the flipper now, a number of tears in it showing that all too well! Such a hit, however, has indeed stopped the former champion's drum, and now Orka burns the gears in reverse, preventing any further Dutch progress by slamming into Sheer Heart Attack's stalled drum and...is not winning the pushing duel? Alas, not a good sign, for Sheer Heart Attack's drivetrain outdoes Orka's even without the tracks! Martijn's quite happy about this and now pushes Orka back towards Dead Metal's CPZ! Chris isn't game for being operated on my two robots and fires the flipper on Orka, sending Orka flying overtop of Sheer Heart Attack...almost! He landed directly on the wedges! And there's little else Chris can do now; the pit he opened is nearby, and...wait...not directly on the wedges...Orka is partially on top of the tracks of Sheer Heart Attack. And Sheer Heart Attack moves backward...and the motion of the tracks throws Orka off them, partially onto the wedges, and he has mobility on the ground now! He manages to turn just enough to get out of line of the pit, but it's a near thing - Sheer Heart Attack has him on the edge! ...but Orka proves the swifter! He just manages to get off the edge of the pit!!! Not only that, but he's found a path to Sheer Heart Attack's sides, and now it's the Dutch machine in peril as Orka tries to get it down the pit! But seemingly less peril; as stated, Martijn has more power in his machine and before Orka can even flip and push Sheer Heart Attack backs away, and out of danger - Orka's flip comes too late and he nearly throws himself over! This phenomenon has the Dutch machine turn around and solidly strike Orka in the side with its powerful drum!

Sgt. Slaughter lands on its back...and then its side! And Minilith is trapped there! What on earth has the referee done!? Well, both robots can't move like that...in fact, neither robot can move at all! There seems to be a problem with Sgt. Slaughter, as it should be able to self-right from that position, but can't! Oh dear! Both robots still have their wheels spinning, though...but unfortunately we cannot let the house robots interfere, so we will have to go to a judges decision!

) and bounce off to the side! Given a perfect shot, Black Panther lets fly with a supermassive black shot on Wedge Devo's top armour...only to find the slippery wedge not there and its punishing blow hitting arena floor! A quick j-turn saw Wedge Devo immediately escape the danger and thrust itself into Black Panther's side, and an expulsion of CO2 later sees the DoomForAll machine tossed end over end in mid-air, landing directly on the side edge and unbalancing onto its back! But just as suddenly, another fresh burst of CO2 from Black Panther's axe sends the panther catapulting back onto its wheels! It didn't count of Wedge Devolution pursuing it as it landed, however, and the Scottish wedge slides straight back under the front (avoiding the lifter again) of Mr. Holt's hammerer and tosses it across the arena! Black Panther bounces end over end off the floor, and eventually into the clutches of Dead Metal! Grappling the panther securely before it can drive away, the silver scorpion's deadly sawblade revs right up and plunges into the 25mm HDPE rear...although the sawblade doesn't quite get through, there is a massive slice in it! And then the sawblade does get through, the 2nd time is the charm as Dead Metal completely slices through the 2.5cm thick plastic and possibly damaging the innards! Black Panther could have dragged Dead Metal out, possibly, but the evacuation of the CPZ is dashed away quickly as Wedge Devo sweeps under the 180 degree wedge of the panther and simply holds him there, rather than flipping! Dead Metal has another go, and indeed this go 'goes' deeper than before, as Dead Metal's sawblade gets really deep into the body of Black Panther...Alex hopefully believes this is superficial though! But as Dead Metal's claws retract, and as does the saw, Steve is trigger-ready and trigger-happy as the rear-hinged flipper makes another successful turnover, throwing Black Panther into the corner of the CPZ, inverted!
But to Steve's slight chagrin, Dead Metal leaves the CPZ and heads for another, satisfied with the carnage he inflicted thus far. Nonchalant, Wedge Devo moves in as Black Panther attempts to self-right, but throws itself onto the wall! Steve keeps his distance, not wanting to get hit by the axe at all...which is rather strange considering the axe hasn't been retracted yet!
Alex retracts the axe and this bounces Black Panther off the wall...and onto the incoming flipper of Wedge Devo! Another great thrust of the flipper...and...
