Great, now we have three different people with variations on the name Daniel.

I already have to remind myself not to reply when people mention Dan.

The Crash & Burn Tournament 3

                Heres my squad.

                Fatality

                Weight: 100 kg
                Body Shape: Cone.
Colour: Flourescent Blue Body with Turquoise and Green Teeth.
                Dimensions: 96 X 96 X 42 cm.
                Drive: 2 X S28-400€™s @ 24v powered by 4 X NiCad Batteries.
                Top Speed: 15 mph.
                Tyres: 2 X Vulkanized Tyres.
Ground Clearence: 7mm all around. It has to be.
Armour: 6mm Hardox FBS shell, 6mm Polypropylene Base.
Turning Circle: Zero! Need I say more?
Weapon: A very nasty 38kg, 1690RPM FBS shell with 4 X 1kg Hardox Teeth and small Tungsten Carbide-tipped teeth all around, powered by an LEM-130 @ 36v. This can reach top speed in 2 seconds, and brings out about 80kJ. The teeth are curved, jagged, and barbed. Has a buttload of shock proofing inside to stop it from self-destruction. Holes drilled into it to reduce weight.
Srimech: An extremely blunt spike that comes out at the top, powered by 1 X CO2 Tank.
                Strengths: Deadly Weapon, Fast Srimech.
Weaknesses: Weak Base Armour, able to shoot only 15 times with the srimech.

                Axetra

                Weight: 100kg
Body Shape: Box with sloped sides and wedge, skirts all around.

                Armour: 3.62mm Hardox Monocque.
Turning Circle: (Seriously, does it need to be here?) Zero
Weapon: A great big 9kg axe made of 3.25mm hardox. The gas is stored in 2 X 2kg tanks. It can easily penetrate titanium and also dent hardox. It brings out 200PSI, and 4kJ of force. When the axe fails to work, it can use its immense pushing power to ram other robots.
Srimech: The axe can easily self-right the robot, and it can self-right even after the axe has been fired. It should also have enough power to pull the robot back over from its sides.
Strengths: Lethal Axe, Awesome Pushing Power, Tough Armour, Nice and Fast.
                Weaknesses: Limited CO2.

Weapon 1: Static Scoop to deflect other spinners.
Weapon 2: In the middle of the scoop, there is a Tornado-esque drum thingy powered by S28-150, spinning at 3220RPM.

                Armour: 3.3mm Hardox 600.
Ground Clearence: Completely 0mm at the back and 5mm for the rest.
Turning Circle: It€™s completely zero, and you should know that by now.
Weapon: At the front there is a nasty 20kg Fluffy-Style Spinner (Horizontal) powered by a LEM-130 Lynch spinning at 4000RPM. The blade tips are sharpened, barbed and curved to cause max damage. The wedge at the back can also serve as defense for those nasty spinners, and if the blade fails to work, it can push robots around the ring.
Srimech: Invertible, Side spikes prevent it from getting beached.
Strengths: Very Destructive, Heavily Shock-Proofed, Good Control, Immense Pushing Power, Extremely Durable, Tracks Protected from all sides.

Srimech: Invertible. Side spikes keep it from getting beached.

                            BIACS-LE

                            Weight- 100.3kg (WDOR)
                            Dimensions- H- 65cm, L- 65cm, W- 75cm
                            Speed- 11mph, 5.1 m/s
Shape- Somewhere between S6 Sabretooth and Atilla the Drum.
Locomotion- 2x Motorbike wheels with screws embedded. These are bigger diameter than the robot itself.
                            Ground Clearance- Massive
                            Turning Circle- 0
Armour- A cage made from a 3mm titanium mesh with moulded 8mm fibre glass armour over that.
Power- 2x S28-400€™s at 24V giving 9BHp. These are powered by some TMC batteries at 24V.
Removable link position- Inside the left wheel, as far in as possible whilst keeping it accessible.
Weapon- As before, the weapon is a 300mm 18kg vertical disc on an arm, which can swing right through the whole arc of the robot, and is capable of coming down with a thump. The blades are mounted diagonally, which means that they are capable of both flipping and ripping. The cage can also swing over the top, protecting the axle and wheels from the side that is unprotected by the disc. This means that other than the cage, nothing can be damaged apart from the disc. It should produce about 62Kj. It€™s powered by another S28-400 on 24V and has a spin-up time of 4.7 seconds.
                            Srimech- Invertible

                            TOTAL- 100.3kg

                            Hypertension Mk 3

The Crash & Burn Tournament 3

With many thanks to AJ, Dan and Marti, my two newest bots are complete. These two will be replacing The Botles Reunited and SWATbot.

                              7. Traffic Warden (HW)
SHAPE- rigid U shape, rounded rear
COLOUR- black with a yellow stripe
                              WEIGHT- 100kg, I hope
                              DIMENSIONS- 95cm X 150cm X 25cm
                              SPEED- 15mph
                              TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
                              GROUND CLEARANCE- 10mm
                              ARMOUR- 4mm Grade 5 titanium
                              MOVEMENT- four inner wheels
                              POWER- 2 x Etek-RT motors, running at 48v and producing 38hp.
WEAPONS- Two vertical hydraulic clamps within the middle of the machine. Each clamp is powered by an 80mm x 40mm ram operating at 3000psi, delivering up to 10 tonnes of crushing power. When an opponent slips into the middle, the clamps activate and hold them in place. Traffic Warden can then drag them around and shove them into the nearest arena hazard. Think of it as Huggy Bear on steroids.
SRIMECH- invertible, rounded rear should prevent it getting beached
NOTES- flies Scotland flag, super special awesome thanks to Daniel Stickler, Martijn and AJ for helping with the design
STRENGTHS- good traction, tough shell, fairly manoueverable, nippy, powerful grip
WEAKNESSES- untested weapon, exposed ground clearance
THEME SONG- Traffic Jam by Weird Al Yankovic

                              8. Venus Fly Trap (HW)
                              SHAPE- wedge with sloped rear
COLOUR- green with an ugly great mouth
                              WEIGHT- 100kg, I hope
                              DIMENSIONS- 110cm X 70cm X 30cm
                              SPEED- 12mph
                              TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm
                              GROUND CLEARANCE- 8mm
                              ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox
                              MOVEMENT- four inner wheels
POWER- 2 x C40-500 MagMotors. These will run at 36v and produce approximately 12hp.
WEAPONS- a large electric lifting plate fitted with barbs ala Mute. The idea is that the plate slides under an opponent and the barbs catch the wheels. The plate then lifts up and clamps the opponent onto the wedge. The plate is powered by an S28-400 MagMotor geared 250:1 for smooth and quick movement. To ensure it wont tip over trying to lift an opponent, Venus is fitted with a pair of long static forks on the front, made from 4mm Hardox.
SRIMECH- a separate electric arm on the wedge. Powered by a separate S28-400 MagMotor geared 250:1 for quick and easy self-righting.
NOTES- flies Scotland flag, thanks to Martijn and AJ for helping with the design
STRENGTHS- good traction, tough shell, fairly manoueverable, unique weapon
WEAKNESSES- untested weapon, exposed ground clearance, potentially vulnerable spikes
THEME SONG- Underground Theme from Super Mario Bros

Hope these two check out and good luck with the contest, Kody.

Batteries need sorted here. A single 24v pack @ 3.6Amp Hour isnt going to cut it... Id advise 3 packs instead, just to make sure youll last the full battle. Therefore, you need 3 x 20 CP3600 Nicads packs, a total of 60 cells and a approx weight of 4.8KG

Size is a problem 3 x 300mm diameter wheels in line with each other is a minimum of 900mm in length. Youll need at least 10mm spacing between each wheel, so 930mm... Yet the robot is only 800mm long. Do the wheels hang massively past the front and back?

Batteries again. Single 40cell (48v) pack will melt when those 4 motors, they can pull up to 960amps EACH! Id advise to drop back to just two of these motors (They are etek size...), run 4 x 40 cell packs and run current limiting at 400amps. This will limit you back to a combined ~25HP peak, but the robot will actually last a match

Probably still boarder line on the weight, but Ive not the time to sit down and do everything for you
