    w0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000t!

Awesome fights Dan, and this is the first heat Ive won by myself (the first heat I won was in Dual Duels). Looking forward to the semi-finals!

And as for the next heat I believe Wedga and Hellbent to proceed through the second melee, with Wedga beating SMIDSY to face Atomic in the final. That fight could go either way, but Atomics didgy self-righting could let it down so Ill go for Wedgas Revenge to go through.

Wedga is definitely through, and Araknia is definitely out...the other twos fate will depend on who Wedga goes for.

*Sobs as the battle he had written was cruelly taken away from him by a refreshing Internet Explorer page...*

          Lets try again...

          HEAT G: ROUND ONE

SMIDSY (13) VS Atomic VS Cygnus X3 VS Terror Turtle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Pf5ZExHcE&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4Pf5...eature=related

Mean Streak VS Araknia VS Wedga€™s Revenge VS Hellbent

House Robots - Sgt Bash and Cassius Chrome

          3...2...1...ACTIVATE!

Hellbent immediately speeds from its starting position and slams into the slow moving spider that is Araknia, the axe easily penetrating the carbon-fibre fibreglass (you say potato, I say CARDBOARD!) bodywork. Wedgas Revenge, meanwhile, slams head first into the discs of Mean Streak, the 4mm thick Hardox scoop easily protecting the flipper arm, as it glides underneath Mean Streaks high ground clearance and flips it clean into the air, leaving it crashing down onto the arena floor inverted, but not out of the competition. Mean Streak quickly spurts away from danger, using the 800w electric motors to move away from the machine from Shrewsbury. However, Andrew Jackson has other plans, as it gets the four-wheel-drive and 18HP into play, slamming into the side of Mean Streak and flipping it over once more, the Lexan armouring withstanding some terrible punishment here! At the other end of the arena, Araknia has managed to free itself from Hellbents clutches and thwacks the front forks with the spinning blade - a shower of sparks flodding the arena and lighting up our arena like a Catherine Wheel. Hellbent, however, is unphased and drives into Araknia once again, this time getting the forks underneath and flipping the machine from Lancashire over onto its back, axeing the underbelly and putting a huge hole into the carbon-fibre fibreglass bodywork once more! Mean Streak, now inverted for the 3rd time by Wedgas Revenge, tries to get the discs into play, but before it even has a chance to turn around Wedga is there, tenacious as ever, and gets another flip in, this time the Lexan armouring on the top (well, technically now the bottom) of Mean Streak looking a little bit buckled and a little bit battered. Wedga comes in once more, sliding the flipping arm underneath and sends Mean Streak over the arena side wall, Sgt Bash looking on, and giving the machine from West Yorkshire a lick of flame as it goes over! Were down to three, as Wedga spins on the spot, but instead of attacking its opponents, darts into Sgt Bashs CPZ, flipping the house robot clean over! Cassius Chrome, who has been sitting quietly in his CPZ on the other side of the arena, darts over to avenge his buddys attack. Wedgas Revenge waitsspeeds away, Cassius Chrome giving chase before eventually catching up with the flipper-bot and slamming it into the arena side wall. Andrew Jackson tries frantically to get his machine off the wall, eventually doing so and getting the flipping arm underneath the side of Cassius Chrome. A swift flip and the newest House Robot is overturned - the crowd whooping and cheering like spectators in a Gladiator match!

Hellbent continues its attack on Araknia, the carbon-fibre fibreglass machine unable to get the spinning blade into play due to it becoming inverted (the robot, not the blade), and is obviously having some kind of manouverability problem. The axe of Hellbent entending and retracting, each hit perforating the carbon-fibre fibreglass bodywork of Araknia, making it resemble a colander! Wedgas Revenge, now finished playing with the house robots and for some reason sparing Refbot, who has taken to cowering in the corner, slams into Hellbent and Araknia (the formers axe now embedded into the carbon-fibre fibreglass armouring and appearing to be stuck) and drives them towards the arena side wall - The 18HP drive of Wedgas Revenge doing exactly what it was meant to do. the flipper fires and Araknia and Hellbent are sent into the air. Hellbent crashes into the arena wall, the force of the flip dislodging the axe from Araknia, who has landed on the camera tracks!

Araknia seems to be suffering from Robophobia, and Mean Streak about as good as a streak of p...aint.

Wedgas Revenge and Hellbent are through to the next round.

Good fight as ever Dan, I think SMIDSY is going down here, touch and go as to who wins the final though.

                      Great fight Dan!

I agree with the above predictions... Get under SMIDSY, preferably at the sides where its got high clearance and is unprotected. Then use my superior drive train to push it towards the walls and then launch it out.

                        SMIDSY (13) VS Wedgas Revenge

House robots - Shunt and Matilda

                        3...2...1...ACTIVATE!

The unlucky-for-some 13th seeds are the fort to get away, immediately driving towards Wedgas Revenge, trying to get the lifting jaw underneath. Robin Bennett, at the controls of SMIDSY looks somewhat worried, as his machine fails to get underneath the machine from Shrewsbury, but the opposite - a flip from Wedgas Revenge sending SMISDY soaring into the air before landing with a hefty thump onto the arena floor. SMIDSY, however, is invertible, and carries on the attack, this time grinding away at the sides of Wedgas Revenge with the 11kg rear spinning disc, the Hardox monocoque armouring of Wedgas Revenge withstanding the attack, as it turns and gets SMIDSY onto the front scoop. Two of SMIDSYs wheels are now off the ground, as Wedgas Revenge drives towards the arena wall, aiming to send it over and out of the competition. The flip happens, but just a tad too late, as SMIDSY - instead of flying over the wall - is sent crashing into it, the full 18HP shove of Wedgas Revenge wobbling the Plexiglass wall. SMIDSY quickly manouvres itself away from danger and darts towards the pit release button mounted on the other side of the arena, but is being chased down by Andrew Jacksons flipping machine. SMIDSY skids into the pit release, the rear of the machine just clipping it and darts away from the advancing danger once again. The siren wails menacingly as the pit descends, Wedgas Revenge very nearly ending up in it, a last-minute change of direction sparing Andrew Jacksons blushes. SMIDSY, instead of running away, now comes in on the attack, slamming into the front of Wedgas Revenge. Once again, however, SMIDSY cannot get its lifting wedge underneath, but on the bright side, Wedgas Revenge has failed to get under SMIDSY as well.

Both machines desperately try to get some grip on the arena floor, but it is Wedgas Reenge who comes up trumps, the LEM130 Lynch motors giving the HP it needs to outpush SMIDSY and slam it, rear disc first, into the side wall. The impact sends SMIDSY ever-so-slightly into the air, allowing Wedgas Revenge to get underneath it once more. Another flip sends SMIDSY airborne, but not over the fence - instead landing in Matildas CPZ. The matriach of mechanical mayhem lunges forward, the tusks getting underneath the high ground clearance of the 13th seed, just as Wedgas Revenge also comes in with another flip. SMIDSY has another brief flying lesson, as it lands stacked up against the arena wall at the back of Matildas CPZ. The house robot quickly reverses, causing the huge vertical flywheel to thwack the veteran into the air, bouncing on top of the fence, before landing out of the arena.

SMIDSY should change its name to SMIDSYD - Sorry Matilda I Didnt See Your Spinning Disc!
Wedgas Revenge goes through to the Heat G Final!

I think this one may be more even than the stats would suggest, its basically a case of who flips who out first...Ill go for Atomic, just to be different :P

Same tactics as before - get to the sides or back, push it towards the walls and throw it OOTA. My skirting should hopefully stop Atomic from getting under and getting any flips in itself.
