    Challenge Belt

...Damn I thought shuffle pads were closer to tracks than wheels, you learn something new every day I suppose.

It does kind of sound Welsh when you look at it, actually :P

Thanks for your comments on the battles guys, Im just glad theyre not absolute pants!

Tonights battle for the challenge belt sees Joey McConnell return to the challenge belt competition with a different robot- Niddhog.Lets take a look at how Joey and Paul have done previously in this competition...
Joey was the first challenger, but with No Objections, which dealt with Tornado to take the belt and flipped Cyrilium to kingdom come, but was flipped out of the arena by no other than Nitro-Gene 4.0, Pauls previous entry into the Challenge Belt! After throwing No Objections OOTA Nitro-Gene defeated a new version of Cyrilium, though only on a nailbiting judges decision. However, it was then third time UNlucky as despite putting up a good fight early on Crimson Thunder took control and pitted Nitro-Gene. Almost immediately Paul took his revenge by returning with MeCannibal 2.0 and re-taking the belt, will he be able to keep the belt away from Niddhog? Were about to find out...
Representing the house robot team we have the robot guard dog Growler accompanied by the ever-brutal Matilda...
MeCannibal is a 110kg shufflebot with a deadly spinner-ring that proved itself by dismantling Crimson Thunder in its last bout.
Niddhog is a Razer-esque machine with a powerful looking 3000psi crusher that has the potential to deliver 9 tonnes of force- look out Paul!
              Booth 1:Paul Cuomo
              Booth 2:Joey McConnell
              3,2,1,ACTIVATE!
Niddhog goes straight in on the attack, getting its forks under MeCannibal and lifting it up into the air! MeCannibal keeps spinning, but cant do anything as Niddhogs crusher comes down on it!The titanium armour crumples, but Niddhog doesnt get a grip and drops MeCannibal to the floor. MeCannibal comes round on the attack itself, the ring spinning wildly!
              CRASH!
The 4mm Hardox side panel flies off Niddhog and MeCannibal spins up again, this time hitting the forks and getting lifted into the air once again!Niddhog comes down on top with the crusher and this time gets right into one of the shuffle pads, immobilising one side of MeCannibal! Niddhog doesnt let go and hits the pit release tyre, but MeCannibal falls off the crusher and manages to shuffle into Niddhogs rear end!
              CRASH!
Another panel flies off into the distance and Niddhog isnt going anywhere fast, as MeCannibals weapon as gotten stuck into one of Niddhogs armour panels! Refbot comes in to split them up, and Niddhog gets under MeCannibal again, crushing into the bodywork once more, spearing one of the weapon motors!MeCannibal falls of the crusher and shuffles in a circle getting a shove at the side of Niddhog, heaving it into matildas CPZ!Matilda attacks with the flywheel, hitting Niddhogs rear and sending it cartwheeling across the arena! Niddhog self-rights and readies it self for another attack, but MeCannibal is too far away and the battle is in its dying moments.
              CEASE!
At the end of that intense battle the judges decide that MeCannibal was moving on one pad only and could move in circles, so was basically immobile. Niddhog took heaps of damage but was still fully mobile at the end and therefore takes the challenge belt!

Well done Joey - DAMM YOU AND YOUR CURSED ROBOT! But in the battle, it says one of my WEAPON motors was killed. So should I just have continued fighting, but with reduced weapon power?

Im not bothered if you need to rewrite the fight because of this, but Im just confused.

Nah, its okay, I have a habit of calling things I create weird names.

And Paul, hes not cursed, just misunderstood

I didnt say that the weapon stopped working, and time just ran out shortly after that anyway. Besides, the shufflepad was already broken

Right - another go. This time one that my plan may have bloody worked against Nidhogg!

                          TRI-TAINIUM

                          € WEIGHT: 100kg

€ ARMOUR: 4mm Hardox for the back/scoop. The top and bottom panels are 5mm Titanium and the sloped sides are 6mm Hardox to sheild the wheels.

€ SHAPE: Low invertible box with a front scoop (the scoop has a slight dip in it to help get under other robots better) and sloped sides.

                          € MOTORS: 2 x LEM 130€™s at 36V = 18HP

                          € LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels.

                          € DIMENSIONS: (L) 60CM (H) 20CM (W) 60CM

€ COLOUR: Unpainted, with the exception of the name on top written in black paint.

€ WEAPONRY: The weaponry consists of 3 x 9kg discs, made out of 1cm of Titanium with 3 Hardox bludgening teeth. The discs are set on the same axle, and amounted deep into the scoop, with the teeth just reaching towards the lip of the scoop, so the uppercut movement of the discs can attack base-panels and the like. The discs are powered by 2 x LEM130s at 36V. Set on a ratio of 1.5:1, it gives off 3600rpm. The discs, combined together make 27kg, so the force given out is 165kj per hit! Large amounts of Rubber amounted behind the scoop stops the risk of self-destruction.

                          € SPEED: 18mph

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM-1CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the sides/rear, its 1cm.

                          € STRENGTH: Weaponry.

                          € WEAKNESS: Completely new design.

This may just turn out to be me and Paul constantly getting the belt off each other

                                MORE TACTICS, ANYONE?:

Avoid the scoop like the plague. I should be able to get around the sides if Tri-Tainium comes head on due to my shape and wheel layout, and then its a matter of getting the forks in - I dont need to tip him over, just lift the wheels off the ground so I can push him and get the crusher in. Do some damage, and then send it to meet Mr Pit. If that fails, flip it over so the scoop is useless, then do the crushing.

                                Good luck Paul, again
