Wheels have all had nuts heat pressed into them. Not 100% straight but at the moment is good enough for me. I've got 8 hubs so I've got room to practice/make spares.
I've done the recessing for the front part of the frame to sit between the bulkheads and have just started doing the finger joints at the rear. Because slightly non-standard (i.e. silly) design it is rather intensive work.
Connectors turned up, will use these for link. Still waiting on some deans for doing other assorted connections in the robot.
In case you hadn't noticed these are bolts. 12.9 m10 cap head for the weapon.
Bits of the weapon. The pulley arrived and it is right nice, cheers Ellis. Got an assortment of bits go go with it. Thrust bearing, bearings, bushings, shaft collars etc.
Wasn't sure about bearings vs bushings so I got both. Same size although the bushings are a bit longer. Will try those first and if I'm not happy about them I'll switch to the roller bearings. I don't think the bearings will be up to it so chances are I'll keep with the bushings. Got spares for both so I should be all right.
Mounted in the pulley yadayada.
Weapon bar hasn't arrived yet. Hoping it will turn up fairly soon.
That's looking incredible Harry. If we get drawn in a qualifier again hopefully it'll be a much more interesting fight!
Beginning to wish I'd left a little extra material on my cross bulkheads for recesses & finger joints.
Getting the frame together. Shoved a few parts in just to illustrate sillyness of the robot Should come together over the weekend. Also got all the parts ordered. Weapon esc and pulleys should be arriving soon. All the rest of the electrics and that are here. Currently sorting out a room for the champs.
