When you said twin ESC I thought It was a dual controller, I take it you have 2 in your bot. Still a pretty good price!

yes i am using 2 and i think they work better than the blue 50a esc and i go better control than my other bot with a sabertooth

is this bit of math correct i found it on the net and used it to see how fast my robot would be

The circumference of the wheel = C in Inches
C*RPM = distance traveled in inches for a minute
C* RPM* 60 = distance traveled in inches for an Hour
          (C* RPM * 60)/63360 = MPH

          If C is in feet
          (C * RPM * 60)/5280 =MPH

I believe the calculator doesn't take into account physical reductions, so your figures will likely be less.

just had another good battle with the 2 robots, even had an audience ( but forgot to film it again )

anyway found a few more problems to fix, my first robot with the lifter need a different speed controller as the sabertooth just isn't driving it as well as the 1s in my 4x4 robot, i also need to change the hinge for something better as that bent when it got slammed into the fence and i could probably do with some hardox or something along the front of the lifter as it got a bit chewed up

the 4x4 bot did very well again got flipped once and picked up by the scoop on scruffy but it kept on driving, i will need to do some re enforcing to the scoops on the front and the wheels moved on the threaded inserts a bit and the reverse screw came out of 2 of the wheels a bit but have a few ideas on how to fix that, again very impressed by the cheep speed controller will probably get some for scruffy

when you say the controllers can handle 14.4v is that the nomial voltage of the batteries so when charged they would exceed 14.4v? or did u take that into account?

                      cheers

well they say the esc power requirements a 6-14.4v and i used two 7.2v packs in series to make 14.4v, i know the battery technically holds a higher voltage (round 16v) but the esc heatsink was warm ish but the battery was alot warmer and so were the motors were quite warm to and that was after about a 10min battle

miner update had to build my own hinge as the previous 1 bent when it got rammed into a fence so shouldn't brake now just waiting on the speed controllers from china to replace the sabertooth 12a 1 that its running at the moment

done a few mods to my 4wd robot night fury maily just a bit of welding on the scoops and and fitting the led's and a miner adjustment to the wheels
