What TAN needs is a big hammer so it can bash a hole in the floor to put robots in.

I agree with Leo. Against a spinner or any other robot i will need a pit to have my advantage. Its what the whole robot is designed for.
I would like to come over to the event, but i dont see that very small change yet to actually win a fight.
If anybody else would be interested in going there, we could concider splitting the cost with trying to send it in only one cradle. Maybe its a little bit cheaper. i dont know yet.

You could build a smaller robot. I was there last year and had a 1 pound (American antweight) and a couple of 3 lb robots. I had a 12 pound one as well but those wont be running this year. I guess that a feather would go in hold luggage at no extra cost - its worth checking with the airline you are cobnsidering using.

Well i dont want to ship my own robot becasue theres no pit in the arena. Therefor it might have been interesting to split costs with shipping 2 robots in 1 box
But i am thinking about going there to have a look, and maybe borow someones featherweight as bagage.

                          shouldnt be a problem

might need some good armor for there tho lol will have to see how much weight we have

                              Hi Suren,

Between £400 and £700 are the sort of figures Ive heard for a heavy.

However, we always used to take the robots apart and pack them into bags and check them in - youre allowed two 32kg cases each. So needs at least three people per teams to carry a heavy and tools etc. Five brit teams did that to one of the events.

Might be a bit more tricky getting through airport check-in these days...

                              John
