Jeroen,

Even though there isnt a pit, there is a dead zone around the edges of the arena. If you can lift/flip the other robot over the railing its an automatic win.

I hope you can make it to RG - it would be great to see TAN again!

i think its like robot wars coming back and having there dates so close to the uk champs so i cant see them being happy

R.G. and Battlebots ... Have .. as far as I know ... nothing to do with each other.

The dates do seem to conflict ... I suspect that R.G. will suffer if the Battlebots thing happens.

But I suspect that he may get reduced big bot attendance with the return of lights cameras ...ACTIVATE!.

id say RG has more media coverage then battlebots at the moment - i remember them being on BBC last year and i guess they might be this year aswel

with battlebot pros not on tv atm aswel could help RG but sounds like BB have more contacts , think all the good bots will be at both

Hi Wendy, it is good to hear from you again. Unfortunatly TAN cant lift or flip anything. All it can do is try to grab the other one and hold on to it. So this is the point where you say i need to build a new robot. But instead of now spending the money on shipping my robot, i want to make it a 2 week holiday, to watch the event. To prepare myself for next year.

Btw, where would that BB event be?

First off B.B. has to get enough College / School entries for E.S.P.N to film.
Then ...probably ..perhaps there will be a PRO Event and E.S.P.N. can be persuaded to film it.

RG is at Fort Mason in San Francisco (near the Golden Gate Bridge).

BB has not announced where the tournament will be, but will probably take place somewhere near San Francisco.

im just curious as in the early stages of robot wars finishing, i wondered what would happen if RW returned to our live event circuit... I would have hoped both would compliment each other... Series 7 had more reliable and devloped machines because of our live events.

the machines now are very reliable nowadays and it would look a lot better on tv

we need robot wars back!

BB are prob back to make more money so i doubt they will join with RG
