    The Spanish Inquisition QT

    Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

Boo, quick tournament here because I have some time on my hands to do some writing (and another reason which will remain hidden). Simple formula, 8 people enter 1 vapourbot each.

Simple rules here, 100kg for all except for shufflers/walkers which have 150kg to play with. Got it mate?

No flying robots, nor clusterbots to keep things simple. Once you are out of the arena, or in the pit you are out straight away with no come-back allowed. Judges decisions will come into force after 5 minutes of action, and it will be my standard format (used in NSTT)

All other things, the FRA rules apply (except for 60volts max), arena will be AWTAS 2, enjoy yourselves

    quote:

Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms

Ok, with Going Crunch out of the question, Love Bite V2.0, and ive invested in an analogue controller so speed is variable stats in a moment.

Robot Name: Love Bite V 2.0
        Length/Width/Height: 120/30/20
        Weight: 100KG
        Motivation: €œWheels/Legs/Shuffles€™ 4 inner wheels
        Speed: 20-30 MPH
Weapon: €œWeapon type and specs€ Hydraulic pincers at 2000 psi, can damage light-moderate armour. At the front is a Firestorm type flipping arm, CO2 powered, really just a SRIMECH but it will get other bots over, not really meant to be an OOTA flipper seeing as it€™s speed and the pincers do most of the damage.
Drive: €œMotors used and voltage, style of reduction€ Bosch motors at 36 volts, gear reduction
        Power: €œBattery type and Voltage & Amps€ 2 x 36 volts at 3 amp NiCD packs
Armour: €œMaterials and thickness, method held on€ 4 mm hardox, welded.
        Ground Clearance: 3MM
        Turning Circle: 0M
Notes: It is a double wedge with skirts around the two sides. The paint job is black with Love the Bite in red down the skirts. Muchos credit to Aaron for the help.
Accomplishments: Spawn of Love Bite (NSBFL 7 16th seed), the NSBFLX New Blood runner up

          BATTLE RAPTOR 4
          Weight: 100kg
Shape: Invertable box with wedge at front, rounded sides and rear, painted orange with black stripes like the raptors in Jurassic Park - since theres no room for an aesthetic raptor head, the paint job on the flipper displays a raptor head
          Dimensions: 70 x 55 x 30
          Speed: 16mph
Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to low wedge, 0 at sides and rear due to skirts
Armour: 4mm Hardox, with holes drilled in it to reduce weight
Wheels: 4, inside robot, poke out the top so the robot can run inverted, uses skid steering
          Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries
Weapons: The robot has an pneumatic Atomic-style flipper, with a flipping plate over the wedge at the front (with a plate sticking out of the front and running along the floor for 5cm for getting under skirts) and two bars attached to it that run down either side of the top of the robot to the flipper hinges 3/4 of the way along. At the centre of the top is a titanium electrically powered axe with a Terrorhurtz-style blade. Both weapons work at the front in this version - the flipper is fairly powerful since it is pneumatically powered (about 25 flips per fight), and while the axe isnt as powerful, it should still make a mark, particularly in vulnerable areas like wheels.
Srimech: Flipper and axe can both serve as a srimech (on their own, not together). If weapons fail in resting position, robot can run inverted. Flipper hinges and axe blade fit inside the robot and dont poke out the top, so they dont prop it up.
Tactics: Try to flip opponents, and if I cant, hammer them.
Strengths: Dual weaponry, invertable, manouverable due to skid steering
Weaknesses: Wheels vulnerable to axes, no weapons to attack from rear

                NAME- Star 69
SHAPE- It€™s a shaped like a five point star but the points are mounted round a inner circle so the points of the star spin round

ARMOUR- it has 4mm grade 5 titanium
MOVEMENT- it uses 6 inner storm 2 wheels
                DRIVE- it uses 2 x lem 130€™s
                BATTERIES- 4 x 30 cell 36volt 3ah Sanyo NiCad packs
WEAPONS- as I said it has an outer spinning ring so is a fbs the ring is powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, the points on the star each have sharpened teeth on them and it spins in a clockwise direction, each point has 3 teeth on it, one on the bottom for tearing at skirts in wheels, one in the middle for body work and that, and one at the top for aerials and tall robots and also used for bottom teeth when flipped
SRIMECH- Invertible, points and blades stop it from sticking on side

                    Name: Hit me
Shape: Low box with inflatable hammer
                    Colour: yellow and black
                    Weight: 74Kgs
                    Speed: 23mph
                    Turning Circle: 1MM
                    Ground clearence: 15MM all round
Armour: Titanium on the lower and bottom and on the top plastic
                    Movement: 3 wheels
                    Drive: 1Xlem130s
                    Batteries: 3X36V
Weapons: A trident-flippy thing which can toss or lift and ram the bottom part into angle grinders
Srimech: a hidden flipper on the top which selfrights the bot.
Notes: does have a hidden attack can lift and spin around on the spot hopefully the opposition will land on its weapon or sri-mech and the weapon will really hopefully break, also a bit of trivia this is the only time where youll be able to see a vapour-like version of mega morg going suicidal and it also the inflatable hammer is actually about Thor the norse god of war.
                    strengths: fast hidden attack
Weaknesses: suicidal the top of the armour can easily get knocked out.

Name - Back to Rock II

Shape - A box with a slightly sloped front

                      Weight - 100 Kilogram

                      Speed - 29 km/h (18mph)

                      Dimensions - 90x75x30 cm

Ground Clearance - 0 underneath skirts and at the front, 8 mm anywhere else

Power - 2x Etek motors at 48 volt

Movement - Four wheels, 20cm diameter

                      Turning Circel - Zero

Weaponry - It has a broad hydraulic lifting arm which can easily lift 200 kg. To easily get underneath an opponent, it has two lifting plates at the bottom of the arm, one on the left end and one on the right end, instead of one large lifting plate like Behemoth.

Between the two plates, in the centre of the scoop, I mounted a vertical diamond edged Pussycat-style blade, powered by a S28-150 Magmotor, spinning upwards at approximately 3000 RPM, which will hopefully rip off some armour, or more likely, a tire, while lifting an opponent. Jamming a blade into an opponent while lifting it hopefully provides as much control over an opponent than a Behemoth-style grabbing claw/axe can, and it€™ll surely do more damage. (To avoid confusion, the blade is actually part of the lifter, so when the lifter moves up, the blade moves along).

On both sides of the bots is a pair of 5 mm titanium skirts, to make sure I won€™t get flipped very often, as hydraulic srimechs just aren€™t as fast as pnuematic ones.

Armour - 6 mm titanium all around

Srimech - The lifter self-rights the robot when needed

Strenghts - Nice weapon synergy, high traction
Weakness - Hydraulic srimech might prove to be slow

Back to Rock looks a little tall, and even if it isnt, Walk Away can be low as hell. So the basic idea is since its more than four times as fast as me, let it charge at me, and get the legs down before he makes it to me and hopefully deal a huge hit aginst the armor. Repeat until it moves so little Im actually faster than it [which might not happen since Walk Away is so slow]and just bash until whats left dies. Only move when I have to. Overall, like any of Walk Aways fights aginst a wedge, it comes down to whos lower, which Im pretty confident is me.

BR4 will go for Flank Attacks...well, flanks, first flipping it around then hammering it when its disorientated, trying to avoid getting gripped.
