Err, hello, it WON the last series? Which was the first thing that the Scottish Fiction series had ever won

Anyway, against Die-Ceratops. Im having the drum on, I think. That way Ill drive at the front corner to get under the side of the flipper, because its WBC-a-like. Then the two spikes on the top should stop the flipper from driving over the top. If not, then my plan will work better! But anyway, I want to chew the end of the flipper to reduce its effectiveness, then go for the rear. I hope to chew the rear wheels, making it lose traction, and push it sideways into the pit by the wheels at the same time. However, if Im flipped itll reduce the effectiveness of the drum, so Id not do the thing about the wheels and just ram it around a bit.

Today, Scotty is once again sticking with the drum. That scoops getting a tad dusty, is it not? :wink:

House Robots - The Kaiser Chief and Uncle Sam

Roboteers stand by...

ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

So begins our first Heat Final and jeezo, does it get off to a flying start! Right from the off, Scottishly Fictional shoots across the arena and smashes head-on into Die-Ceratops before it barely moves a metre! With a jerk, Chris competitor darts backwards, a little scar in the green paintjob courtesy of that disc! However, ReInvertus barely gets a chance to respond when the champ dashes around to its side and successfully slips under the 3 mil ground clearance! Mr Masons machine now finds itself being shoved down the ring by the No.1 seed, but Chris has a plan! As the duo nears the bottom of the Warzone, the mighty flipper flies wide open and flicks the dented dinosaur off the Stormalikes front wedge! Darting to one side, Die-Ceratops sits back as the king nearly throws itself into the bottom arena flywheel! Immediately, Scotty turns his creation around to attempt another ram, but the Wheely Big Cheese lookalike has already nipped around to the box-wedges side and slipped underneath! In an instant, the launching arm activates and sends our reigning champion flying high into the air! Barrel-rolling like a tanked-up flyboy, Scottishly Fictional finally tumbles back onto its wheels...the right way up! Die-Ceratops charges straight over to rectify this, but our No.1 seed simply proves too fast and thunders back up the battlefield, its sights seemingly set on the Void Activation Button! With ReInvertus back on its trail, the conqueror of Storm finally enters the top corner and slams into the oversized bumper in a little spark shower (If youve sliced me button, its coming out your paycheque, Mr Anderson)! Just as the trademark siren kicks into action, Die-Ceratops catches up at last, barely sliding its sleek sloping profile underneath the champs rear! As quickly as humanly possible, Chris fires the flipper...but only succeeds in flicking one side of its rival off the ground as it shoots off the wedge! Wasting no time, ReInvertus continues its pursuit, following our No.1 seed to the Kaiser Chiefs corner opposite! Mr Mason is almost upon him...when Scottishly Fictional suddenly twirls around and scrapes itself under the 3mm clearance again! With a burst of power, the champ powers on into the Patrol Area...slamming Die-Ceratops right into the waiting House Bots whirling shell! A mighty din fills the arena as the two collide and Chris creation is thrown to one side! A vicious scar has been put right along the titanium side! Any thinner and the 8 mil shell probably wouldve been sliced like a tin of beans! Noticing that the Chief is rapidly re-revving, Mr Mason departs from the CPZ and nips back to the middle of the ring, Scottishly Fictional not far behind! In a mild fury, ReInvertus swings around, attempting to swap the champ away like a fly! Unfortunately, all it succeeds in is clobbering the No.1 seeds sloped side - hardly MDU on the Hurtometer. Indeed, things are only getting worse for Die-Ceratops as the Storm slayer slips further under the sleek wedge, nibbling away at the titanium sides and belly! With another flick of the arm, the newcomer hops off the drum, but thats not stopping our Scotty! As its opponent swings round for another attack, Scottishly Fictional dashes back under the side and (with a little quick repositioning) finds itself right under the front of the Wheely Big Cheese lookalike! Immediately, the champ rockets right down the arena, our hole in the bottom corner its obvious target! Desperately, Chris fires the arm once again! His creation flicks itself upwards...only to crash back down on the red drum of its rival! But the suffering doesnt last too long - at last, the ride is over and Die-Ceratops is slipped sideways into the Void! A cloud of smoke bursts from within and Mr Anderson proves to us all just how he became our No.1 seed in the first place!

CEASE!!!!!

A valiant performance though it was from this newbie, Die-Ceratops ReInvertus has earned itself a one-way ticket to the Natural History Museum!
SCOTTISHLY FICTIONAL (1) GOES THROUGH TO THE SERIES SEMI-FINALS!!!

Push-ish Fundamental VS The Robotnik Twins VS Typhoon 2 VS Warhead (30)

I think me and Dave are teaming up for this fight.

Once spun up, I should be able to smash The Robotnik Twins about quite well. I beleive it is a clusterbot and you know what sort of damage the middleweight Typhoon can do to smaller robots, never mind Typhoon 2. Once they are out of the way Ill try to tackle Warhead, although this may be more suited to Push-Ish perhaps?

Once thats done its time for a house robot rebelion!

I predict a house robot riot in heat 2.

Me and Andy are teaming up against Tony & Warhead.

The idea is that Typhoon will spin around and look nice, when I box-rush the other 3 robots, get them onto the wedge, attack them with my lovely drum, and push then into Typhoon 2. 50 kg middleweight vs. 50 kg shell = Not Nice.

When both robots are knocked out, then its time for my favourite game...

Not only are Dave and Andy teaming up on me, ive also got Warhead thrown in the mix. No hope here, but maybe a miracle will happen and I can attack dave from the sides and chew him up well enough to finish him off before Typhoon can move in, and then team them both up aginst Warhead from the rear.

You have forgotton one tiny detail Mr. Politzi, that on the sides of Push Ish is some lovely Ablative armour, so that it is designed to take the knocks.

50 kg robot vs. 50 kg spinning shell, isnt going to be a nice result.

TACTICS:
Go for half the clusterbot first, and try and trap it with the axe while avoiding the flipper of that machine, and keep away from the other half, when Im finished with the first half, Ill do the same to the other. Then, either attack the wheels of MOABIE, or plan a similar attack from the sides of Flipping Hell with the axe, and try to immobilise it and/or pit it.

Round 3 was certainly very enjoyable, Steven! In the next heat, Warhead will aim for the Robotnik Twins, just trying to damage them, really. It will focus on them, and if Push-Ish or Typhoon 2 attack, it will turn its dome into them and hit back hard!
