        The Killer Toad Tournament Special

I love finding loopholes, mainly sneaking in my old laptop

I apology in advance for the [banned] of the battles, I wanted to get them out of the way and kept getting disturbed by the bloody phone.

The May Tracks Has You vs. Nitro-Gene 4.0

Right, it€™s been a while, but the person I share my office with has disappeared to play with tanks, so it is time for the next fight

Previously it was going to be Slammer against 6isc, but I decided to do this fight first.

The first robot into the fully repaired arena is Nitro-Gene 4.0, this box on wheels with a wedge and angled sides has been around for a while, the flipper is still nitrogen and it has 4 wheels powered by 4 motors. The armour is tough, but the weakness is with the nitrogen powered flipper, as unlike Carbon dioxide, nitrogen is unpredictable and losses pressure quickly, so if Nitro-Gene enters into a long flipper match, the gas will run out faster than with CO2. Nitro-Gene is fast across the arena.

The 2nd robot into the arena is the current champion of the killer toad, winning both series 2 and series 3, nothing has gotten underneath Frank€™s flipper machine, designed to get under, push to edge and flip out. It runs on tracks, yet it is only 100kg, proof that tracked machines don€™t need an extra 10kg to be on a level playing field. It is a box with a wedge at the front, with some spikes on the front wedge to stop robots from driving off once May Tracks is under, unless you want to say goodbye to your tyres.

Both robots are in the arena, as the battle cry is sounded.

And it is a slow start from the 2 flipper machines, as both Frank and Paul slowly drive forward, not wanting to risk a full head-on collision, owing that the battle will be decided on whoever gets underneath the other robot first to flip them out of the arena, as Nitro-Gene puts down it€™s power, the wheels spinning the power away as it lacks the weight over the wheels, but it overcomes and speeds off towards May Tracks.

Frank holds his nerve and doesn€™t dodge the attack, as Nitro-Gene ploughs straight into the front of May-Tracks, as it is wedge on wedge action as the floor hugging wedge extension plate of May Tracks breaks underneath the 42 degree wedge of Nitro-Gene as May Tracks slips underneath Nitro-Gene, and within a instant scratch card the flipper fires sending Nitro-Gene onto it€™s back. Paul makes a run for it, as May Tracks gives chase, dodging out of the way, unable to flip itself back onto it€™s base as doing so would create an opening large enough for the titanic to sail though.

May Tracks keeps on top of Nitro-Gene, the extra 2 mph isn€™t enough to break out a lead, as Nitro-Gene dodges the open pit, as May Tracks keeps on top of it. The running away and dodging carries on for another 2 minutes, until Paul thinks it is now or never to try and get some points on the board, as running away can not be doing any good, as it fires the flipper sending Nitro-Gene into a stylist turn in the air, as May Tracks pauses, watching as Nitro-Gene in style self-rights into the pit.

        Cease

A lovely self-righting flying action from Nitro-Gene, but unlucky to land in the pit, as May Tracks looks upset that Frank didn€™t put some points on the board by taking out a target.

        Next up:
        Slammer vs. The 6isc.

          Slammer vs. 6isc

It is the final grunge match, and it is the big one, the one I was saving until the last match, because it€™s tough.

The first robot into the arena is Slammer, this 2 wheeled €˜axlebot€™ is well armoured and comes with a pick of weapons. Tonight, Alex has picked the claw, which comes out of the wedge to claw onto other robots before slamming it around the arena, but mainly into the pit. The front wedge is low, but it really hasn€™t a lot of pushing power in a battle of power, and it is easy to get underneath, which could be its Achilles heel. But getting underneath is one thing, being able to do something once underneath is another item, as Slammer is a slippery customer.

The last robot into the arena today is 6isc, the 7th version of Frank€™s Disc series, which hasn€™t really changed, today€™s version comes with a massive disc mounted on the axle, with the teeth formed a part of the disc, it is very hard to get a grip and even harder to cause damage, as there is no unnecessary armour, with all the important parts mounted inside a secondary axle, the only weakness is the low pushing power and the wheels are slightly exposed to a lucky attack.

And Slammer is off, looking to score an early hit on the 6disc, however Alex fails as Frank successfully dodges the attack, spinning around to attempt to score an early blow on the rear end, however Slammer spins around as both robots come together. Sparks fly as the disc hits home, as the 6isc gets flipped away by Slammer, flipping over so that 4 of the 6 wheels are still in touch with the ground as Frank comes back onto the attack, but once more after some sparking lessons, sparking against the jaw which tries to come up to trap the 6isc, but fails to do so, as Frank€™s machine gets a clean getaway, as Slammer gives chase.

However the chase doesn€™t last for long as the 6isc spins around and slams into slammer, slamming into the side causing slammer to lift up, as the 6isc slams into Slammer again, but this time Alex gets away, but fails to land a punch back onto the 6isc, as Frank comes back with another attack, causing more sparks as the disc messes up the lovely paint work, the claw comes out, but fails to grab onto the axle, as the 6isc storms away, spinning around, as Slammer attacks, catching Frank off guard, but Frank€™s flick of his wrist turning the 6isc around slamming into slammer causes some more sparks to fly.

Another failed attack follows another fail attack from the 6isc as Alex tries to bring the fight back towards Slammer, but every time he tries to attack, the 6isc gets away, but with every attack from the 6isc causing mere sparks and minor scars on the surface of Slammer it€™s a pretty even battle, as both robots drive into each other, the disc causing some more scaring to the wedge unit of Slammer, sending it upwards with the force as Frank puts on some more power and slams into slammer again, forcing it to rise up, so that Slammer is riding on the disc of the 6isc, resting on the top of the wheel hubs, as Frank puts on some power, pushing Slammer, but Slammer isn€™t having any of it, and pushes back, but as both robot€™s drive is equal, the added weight pushing down onto the 6iscs wheels gives it the advantage and slams Slammer into the arena wall. Alex gets away without taking any damage, but his pride is damaged as Slammer comes back onto the attack, ramming into the disc that the claw comes out and almost grabs hold, but Frank gets away, back out towards the other side of the arena, with under a minute of fight time remaining, full of dodging and sparks.

Alex to do something before the battle ends, where the judges have gone on holiday, so to prevent a tie, but The 6isc dodges Slammer€™s attacks but doesn€™t dodge the arena wall, as Slammer tries to make the use of Frank€™s error, but Frank manages to recover before Slammer can do anything meaningful, and runs, the time is ticking away, as Slammer gives chase. The 6isc turns as the 30 second mark is passed, as Slammer narrowly misses hitting into 6isc, but the side spike gets hiten upon, however no damage is done as the 6isc gets away before the claw of Slammer can gets a strong grip, as Frank dives over to the other side of the arena, 15 seconds are left until a draw is called, Alex crosses the arena with Slammer, as Frank dodges the attack and launches in with a counter attack, causing some extra sparks as the disc hits into the Hardox armour of Slammer, but no damage is really caused, as the 6isc spins away and drives over to the other end of the arena and into the corner far away from the pit, spinning around and just sitting there with the disc spinning. Slammer comes over to try and attack

          Cease

5 minutes is up, a draw is called by the absent judges.

So that is it, a complete and utter pointless match against 2 machines which cancel each other out quite nicely, in all fairness Slammer would have won a very tight judges decision, which would be tighter than a pair of size 8 rubber pants on a size 20 woman.

          Right now onto TFA.

Woot great fights, and no losses

To be fair, I think Slammer vs The 6isc should have been the main event anyway. Not out of ego, but it is THE vapourbot grudge match.
