Weapon 1: A Mortis-shaped axe powered by an S28-400 Magmotor. It can come down with over a tonne of force, and can finally pierce hard materials like 4mm hardox or 5mm titanium.
OK - a suggestion for designing things - dont speculate how much damage a weapon can do unless you really know what you are talking about. As far as Im aware, youll never ever get that output out of a motor and the chances of an axe being capable of pierce hardox or titanium are very slender at best.
When talking about an axe weapon, give the followign info:
Blade shape and material (and possibly weight)
What is powering it (either electric or pnuematic, give a bit of info for each)
Whether or not it is double sided
Any detail that makes it designed for a more specific purpose (shaft length etc)
Dont speculate on speed and power because you simply dont know and as it is you are prone to guess wildly at detail that sound cool but arent realistic in the slightest.
This weekend we will be fitting a Hardox 650 axe on Obsidian with a big ram powering it, and we know we will not penetrate Hardox. Not a chance. But we go ahead with it anyway because axes are cool.
IF I may push Martijn to put his robot down, and for two extra people to enter this competition, then I can get this thing moving.
And by the way Liam, Im sticking with the previous version of Cyrillium Mach 2, and if you post ANY reminders, updates or stupid comments for ANYTHING THAT I DISLIKE...I will remove your space on this competition.
