    • The Crash & Burn Tournament: The Dual Duels

I guess not, as Martyn has told over MSN that if somebody is ready to enter then let them. So Martyn is out.

But still, no Mark Elam or Andre Ydolly. I DONT CARE, YOURE NOT GETTING IN. :P

Liam Eliot, you are welcome to if you can bring together 8 good robots/vapourbots.

And where are Tony and Alex M&W? :P

            Id consider it.

Anyway yeah, Liam, you are in (just need stats and that real robot), and paired with Jamie. You guys now need to suggest between each other a team name, and pairings for your pairs of 8 robots.

Also, AJ popped in to tell me that his bots will be worked on and done after this week closes out.

                    Dimensions: 95 x 70 x 45
Ground Clearance: Effectively 0 all round due to skirts, 10mm all round behind them.
                    Turning Circle: 0

The arms lift/crush capabilities are powered by another LEM-130, should lift/ crush with 200kgs of force. I dont expect it to crush any armour, but it can stop a bot self-righting. The sides of the arm are spikes and tungsten tipped at the bottom.
Motivation: 2 x steel tank tracks
Armour: 4mm hardox on all sides, 1mm titanium skirts, 3mm titanium base, 5mm titanium top and turret.

                    • The Crash & Burn Tournament: The Dual Duels

I plan to make a few updates as well Joey, as due to Aarons recent entry list () and the number of other spinners, Ive chosen some updated robots (Ive redone Nitro-Gene, MeCannibal and D.V.D as well, and Ive also brought out a new robot to give some others the pain - The Rock, and you Cant Stop The Rock (Great Song )

                      Nitro-Gene 4.0 - The Quaestor
                      MeCannibal 2.0 - Pheonix Down
                      Autoism 2.0 - No Objections
                      D.V.D: The Sequel - 147
                      Tri-Tainium - Gabriel II
                      WORCK - Nidhogg
The Rock - Life And Death
                      Storm 2 - 13 Black

                      NITRO-GENE 4.0

                      € WEIGHT: 100kg

€ ARMOUR: 5mm Hardox for the body. 6mm Hardox flipper. Inside the body, there€™s 1cm of Vulkanised rubber on the sides and rear, with 2cm on the front to help fight powerful spinners

€ SHAPE: Low invertible box with pointed sides and rear. At the front is a 42* wedge to aid in getting underneath other robots. All the lines have been curved over to make it harder for a spinner to grab onto a panel and rip.

                      € MOTORS: 4 x LEM 130€™s at 36V = 36HP

                      € LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels.

                      € DIMENSIONS: (L) 90CM (H) 17CM (W) 70CM

€ COLOUR: Black all over with the flipper coloured red.

€ WEAPONRY: A full pressure Nitrogen powered flipper at 1000psi, using a single 80mm ram at 1000psi. The flipper is mounted in the middle of the robot, and is 20cm wide and runs 30cm up the body. Using a 3cm long Titanium strip underneath the flipper, and a heavy flipping arm, the flipper runs completely along the ground. Running on a ratio 2.2:1, the flipper produces 1600kg of force at the tips, allowing me to launch anyone away! This version has 2 x 3kg Nitrogen bottles, giving me 25 flips!

                      € SPEED: 22mph

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0MM-2CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the sides/rear, its 2cm. The orginal weakness of Nitro-Gene (its high ground clearance) has been seen to by the skirts on the sides/rear. They are 5mm Titanium skirts and are joined together like BioHazard - at the corners. To avoid them breaking off, they are held in place by Hardox hinges.

€ STRENGTH: Pushing power and weaponry.

€ WEAKNESS: High speed may mean difficult driving

                      MeCANNIBAL 2.0

                      € WEIGHT: 110kg (Shuffler)

€ ARMOUR: 6mm Titanium on top and bottom.

                      € SHAPE: Invertible low cylinder

                      € MOTORS: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors at 36V = 12HP

                      € LOCOMOTION: 2 x Shuffling pads

                      € DIMENSIONS: (L) 80CM (W) 80CM (H) 20CM

€ COLOUR: Black with scary human face with over sized teeth coloured red.

€ WEAPONRY: Ring spinner, made of 10mm Hardox, weighing 30kg, powered by 2 x LEM130€™s at 36V to give it spinning speed of 3000rpm and producing 195KJ per blow with a spin-up time of 3 seconds, but is lethal in 1 second. It 2 big teeth made of Hardox that curve out. The teeth are inserted into the body and have rows of Tool Steel spikes on the teeth to dig in. These teeth 5kg each and are designed to send all the spinning energy into one spot rather than small amount into multiple spots. It also has 3 Inches worth of Titanium shock-proof Foam and 1cm of Vulkalon rubber to stop it self-destructing.

                      € SPEED: 15MPH

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: 0mm-8mm. It has a full-bodied 5mm Titanium skirt running completely along the ground that rises when the shell is spinning, but drops when the shell isn€™t spinning. This is powered by a simple 750w Bosch 36V motor and runs at the same time as the spinner.

€ STRENGTH: Scary name and weapon

                      € WEAKNESS: Hard to control

D.V.D: THE SEQUEL (Death Via Drum)

                      € WEIGHT: 100kg

€ ARMOUR: 5mm Hardox body and 6mm Hardox wedge.

€ SHAPE: An invertible box shape with triangular sides and rear.

                      € MOTORS: 2 x LEM130€™s at 36V = 18HP

€ LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulcanised Wheels on top and bottom ala Big Nipper.

                      € DIMENSIONS: (L) 70CM (H) 23CM (W) 70CM

€ COLOUR: Black for the drum, white for the body.

€ WEAPONRY: At the front is a 15kg drum, made of Titanium with 3 sharpened tool steel teeth. The drum is powered by 2 x LEM130€™s on a ratio of 1.5:1, giving a spinning speed of 6500rpm! 65kj of energy per hit, and if flipped, the drum can be reversed to help it spin the right way - upwards. Behind the drum, there are massive amounts of Vulkalon rubber to avoid self-destruction. To help with pushing other robot around, I€™ve added an invertible wedge to the front made of 6mm Hardox to make it ultra low. The wedge is hindged at 30*, so getting under things is no problem, and it can also lead the opponents onto the drum.

                      € SPEED: 13mph

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: The ground clearance is no longer the same all the way around, due to the Hardox wedge at the front - its 6mm on the sides and rear..

                      € STRENGTH: Good all-rounder.

                      € WEAKNESS: Low speeds.

                      THE ROCK

                      € WEIGHT: 100kg

€ ARMOUR: 6mm Hardox monocoque on the rear, top and sides. 4mm Hardox on the base and front. Inside, I have 4cm of Vulkanised rubber to make sure its good when facing spinners.

€ SHAPE: A box-wedge shape with the front slanted at 60* in order to flip things when slamming them against the walls. All the sides are slanted at 42* INWARDS, so if it balances on any sides, it will deffinately fall back onto its wheels.

                      € MOTORS: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors at 36V = 12HP

                      € LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels.

                      € DIMENSIONS: (L) 80CM (H) 29CM (Without the point of the axe, the height is 26CM) (W) 75CM

€ COLOUR: The body is coloured grey to match the colour of Rocks, and the axe is red, including the axe-rod.

€ WEAPONRY: A VERY powerful CO2 axe. The axe is 750mm long axe, completely made of Hardox, and the axe mechanism is mounted 10cm up from the front of the robot to avoid it suffering damage. The entire thing weights 5kg, with 3kg in the axe head - the axe head is shaped like a cone with the point cut off to cause more dents. The axe runs on a rack-and-pinion system through a 250mm stroke, 100mm bore pneumatic cylinder at 200psi! This allows me to give 1125kg of force per hit! I have 30 hits, and I can cause some harm.

                      € SPEED: 15mph

€ GROUND CLEARANCE: On every side except the front which is 0mm, the clearance is 5mm.

                      € STRENGTH: Powerful weaponry.

                      € WEAKNESS: Unknown.

I hope these are OK. In addition, can I ask if there are any robots that Kody doesnt know the stats for?

Can I say something to Liam, just as a bit of advice - those skirts are a bit flexible at 1mm thick. People get under those types of skirts quite easily, Id make your skirts around 5mm Titanium, as its tough for robots to get under skirts of that thickness.

But looking at AlphaRex - it looks SCARY! At some point in the future Id love to see a match between Nitro-Gene and AlphaRex - thatll be AWESOME!

Liam, those pairings seem fine to me

Some nice vapourbots there, Ill need to build up my squad for future tourneys now as only having three original vapourbots is a bit boring of me but the five realies will have to do for now.

                              As a team name:

                              Operation: Total Devastation?
                              The Viscious Vapours?
                              Tequila Mockingbird?
                              Team Tremour?
                              Team Electro Fusion?
                              The Cursed Pirates?
Team Aztec Gold? (Ive been watching Pirates of the Caribbean recently )
