i only know how to figure out linear energy not rotational, theyre is a big difference

but linear is:- Mass (kg) X (times) Velocity (meters a sec, m/s)2 (squared)

its mainly for ram bots punches and axes, spinners are much more complex to work out

Once you know the Moment of Inertia of everything that is spinning (usually just the disc gives you a good approximation) then knowing the speed of rotaion will give you the Kinetic Energy, see the examples in the link.

ok so calculators at the ready, to give a basic idea as to what KE you can produce with a spinning disc or bar, you need to do this: -

1/2 (half) Inertia X angular velocity2 (squared)

Angular velocity is = velocity divided by radius

Inertia = 1/2 MR2 (squared) M=Mass KG R= Radius Meter

so try and work that out, actually i dont think thats right ill have to check again

Weapon: 42lbs Laser-Cut Horizontal spinning Disc with 2 X Hardox Steel Teeth (curved and a bit blunt to cause maximum damage) powered by a LEM-130 Lynch Motor spinning at 5300RPM. This is deadly within 1 and a half seconds. This should also give as much as 52 KJs and enough to penetrate through almost anything.
Srimech: Invertible
Strengths: The lethal and devastating weapon, the Storm 2-like pushing power. Has a load of shock proofing inside to help it protect itself.
Weaknesses: As usual, its wheels are exposed a tiny bit from the top, and it€™s prone to be abducted by aliens?

Sorry, but thats false. Team Bravehearts FBS, Whirligig 4.5, has over 100kJ in its hits but cant cut through Hardox, or even thick titanium without a few blows.

The same can be said for many other high kJ disc weapons.

Dont go making claims youre definitely unsure of. :wink:

Motors: 4x Bosch 750 motors running off of 5x 36V NiCad Battlepacks.
Motivation: 4 Entirely vulkanized rubber wheels
Armour: 6mm Hardox at the front, 4mm Hardox on the top and bottom, 6mm Titanium at the back, and 7mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy at the sides.
Speed: 15mph
Ground Clearance: 5mm at sides, and 0mm at front and back due to scoops
Turning Circle: 0mm
Weapon: 2x snowplow-like scoops, one on the front, and one on the back. These have a little bit of vertical mobility, so the wheels can touch the ground.
Srimech: Invertible
Strength: Enormous pushing power

Weapon: The lower Jaw is fixed to the ground and shaped like a wedge. Once a robot is stuck on the wedge, which has Mute-Style barbs on it, the upper Jaw comes down with over 5 tonnes of force.
Srimech: A light Mortis-esque lifting arm built into the back of the robot, powered by an LEM-130.

I just dont get that. And in addition, I may be wrong, but depending on higher knowledge on Bosch 750w motors, I think that your robot will have around the 4hp or 14hp mark - try LEM130s at 36V, as for certain you will have 18hp.

I am trying for pushing power on Minesweeper.

The scoops have a little bit of vertical movement so the wheels can touch the ground and have 0mm ground clearance at front and back without being stranded.

Roveress hasnt got any power for the weapon, plus itll be overweight. You cant get 5 x LEMS into a heavyweight
