        Back again from winning last year, Killotine: EVO is still a low red box, armoured in 15mm Polycarbonate and 3.25mm Hardox. It also has 2 LEM130€™s giving 18hp and 16mph, and it uses its axe to chop and kill! And that€™s exactly what it did in Round One of Heat A, when he took on Ramthrax 2 and TIRTASM. TIRTASM got flipped by the flipper spikes, beaten by Killotine and then pitted by Ramthrax! In Round Two, Killotine took on another newcomer in the form of the Welsh Dallas - he gave the Champion a knock, but was soon confined to the pit! Then finally, Ramthrax fell when Killotine punctured the armour and hit the electrics, putting Ramthrax in the skip and Killotine in the next round!

        Shovearound 2 - it does exactly what it says on the tin! This year, with its rep improved after winning FFW 4, this pusher has got everything it needs to win! First of all is the super traction, generated by its 4 wheel drive, each wheel power by 1 x LEM 130 46V motor, the total output of power is 36hp! Great amounts! The armour is 12mm Hardox (which few can even dint) and it€™s uncatchable with speeds of 28mph. The skirts are designed to prevent almost anything from getting under! But it can get under anything else, including Death Adder 3 in Round One, who was quickly pitted by the rammer. In Round Two, The Nose 3.0 was no match and quickly over-powered and over-turned, and then left to be beaten. In the heat final, Shovearound 2 took on the deadly A.K.A. Idiot. However, the 12mm Hardox took the blows quite nicely, and after the speed and power allowed Shovearound to pit him, Antony was in the final 16!

        The first semi-final battle is about to commence, as the studio is packed with spectators, all cheering on the great robots! The drivers drive from their control booths€¦

        Shovearound speeds away, but not at Killotine - he€™s actually going for the pit release switch! Steven notices and stays back, but spins around as Shovearound charges head-on at him! As he spins, Steven activates the axe, and gets it into Shovearound wheel housings! Killotine now shoves the American into the corner of the ring and gets under the skirts, and now starts to hammer the top armour, not piercing the shell but causing a good amount of slight perforations into the armour! Killotine has been asked to back off, so he does, and now spins away, as Shovearound 2 drives on, but just as they make contact, Steven calmly fires the axe down onto the lifting prongs, causing a slight dent and sparks to fly off it. The audience cheers as Killotine lands another blow, this time, jamming the axe between the robot and the right side skirt! The audience cheers even more, as Antony finally drives his rack underneath Killotine, and flips over Killotine! Antony now powers his robot over to the pit, getting faster and faster. He reaches it, but Killotine self-rights out the way of the pit, BUT SHOVEAROUND 2 IS ON THE EDGE OF THE PIT! Killotine now slams the axe into the wheel housing again, preventing it from driving away, and Steven puts the power down and dumps the rammer into the pit!

        Result:
        Shovearound 2 (2 gets a taste of his own medicine!

        Back again to start its reign of infection, Chris Mason€™s latest machine returns! Back again, this 4 wheel drive drummer with attitude and 7mm Titanium protection and 18mph top speeds returns with two noticeable improvements - the Shunt like scoop on the front to help push robots around and the 8mm Titanium wheel flaps. The drum spins at 4000rpm and weighs 15kg, generating around 35-40kj of energy! Nothing can go wrong, unless the wheels get targeted by axes! But that is unlikely to happen, as there are no axes left in the competition! In the heat, he took some flips from Wedgie 5 and Aquarius, but eventually caused damage to Aquarius, who was then thrown OOTA by Wedgie! It took on Happy Birthday Party Pooper in the second round, and dented in the armour preventing the shell spinning, and then drumming it OOTA. It took on Wedgie in the heat final, and after taking a nasty flip, it overturned Wedgie and then sliced up the wheels, before overturning him, and attacking the self-righter. Leprosy Infection was then in the semis!

        Here comes the rudest robot in the world, and the first star shaped one as well! Shaped like a 5 point star, its points are attached to a spinning ring, powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, giving it repulsive damaging powers. It€™s also got 19mph top speed and 18hp! In Round One, it took apart the 2mm Polycarbonate armoured Gyrate, killing it with one hit. In the second round, it unbelievably took out the 3rd seed Y4 by immobilising it. In the heat final, it took on the 19th seed, Son Of Ripper 4, and caused some damage, and eventually pitted it, making it the second semi-finalist.

        Y4 belonged to Chris, and Chris wants revenge on Star 69 for it. Likewise, Happy Birthday Party Pooper belonged to Martyn, and he wants Leprosy Infection for it. Who gets it? Only time will tell€¦

        Both robots spin-up their weapons, and approach each other. The blades of both contestants are spinning way too fast for anyone to even see the speed that they€™re moving at! One robot is waiting for the other to make a move, and it€™s Martyn who bashes into the side and rips open a panel! On second contact, Chris€™ seed drives forward at the slowed shell, and it has the edge, and stops Martyn€™s robot spinning, and then flips it over. Martyn€™s robot is slightly faster, but Leprosy Infection catches him out, and pins him against the pit release button. Star 69 batters its way out, but Chris flips it again, and Star 69 is moving slightly slowly. Leprosy powers in, and rams it down the pit. CHRIS HAS HIS REVENGE!

        Result:
        Star 69 goes super-nova!
        LEPROSY INFECTION (10) GOES THROUGH TO ROUND 5!!!

        The monster from the deeps is here to do battle! A 6 wheeled box shape with a riding-up middle section, to house the weapon - which is an electric lifting scoop capable of lifting a bus, as well as a grabbing claw - and a dorsal fin like self-righter. It has 3 12V batteries powering 2 Magmotors, giving speed of 15mph and great pushing power! This pushing power showed in the heats, when it teamed up on Behemoth with The Ultimate Wedge, taking out the real robot. In Round Two, it managed to stack up Disco 5, facing it in the way of the wall, leaving it unable to self-right. In the heat final, Chris took on his old nemesis, 29th seed Tengu VII. It was very hit and miss, with damage being taken from the spinner, but eventually, Orka stacked Tengu against the sidewall, allowing the 13th seed to win the heat!

        You can€™t hurt this robot - where€™s its heel?! This time, this box-shaped 30hp generating robot has all the power and weapons to do well. The weapon is a powerful lifter/flipper, capable of lifting up 500kg. The armour is 5mm Titanium, a weak substance against spinners, but at the front, it is very strong. The 2 x Eteks at 46V giving 18mph as well as the 30hp, giving superb speed. The 4 wheels also give it the right amount of grip on the arena floor. Overall, a thoroughly good robot with a great record! This showed in Round One, where it and Automatic Schmuck attacked Windiest Killer, taking some damage from the bar of Automatic Schmuck, but soon pitting Windiest Killer! In Round Two, it took on SD IV, and bossed it for the whole fight, pushing around, ramming it, and soon flipping it OOTA! In the heat final, it faced its toughest challenge yet, as it took serious damage from Automatic Schmuck, but when the Aussies got their bar caught in the wall, it was all over!

        The third battle of the top 16, and the competition is seriously heating up as we€™re going to make an action-packed grand final! Lets begin this next fight!

        Orka and Achilles drive out, but not at each other - actually at the pit release button! Achilles reaches it first, but this can allow Orka to attack the skirts on Achilles. Chris€™ weapon breaks the skirts and he lifts up the Holt robot, and charges forward, turning it over! Good driving from Chris there, but Achilles self-rights, and goes for Orka€™s side! The 30hp helps Alex get under and pin Orka against the sidewall. He tries to flip, but is a bad position to do so. Achilles backs off, and Orka runs away, but Alex charges back again, and flips up Orka, but Chris self-rights too quickly for Achilles to do anything. Orka now charges head-first into Achilles, and now gets under the lifting plate, as Orka pushes the lower seed into the wall again, and lifts it onto the wall! Achilles flips himself away, before Chris blocks his self-righting to roll him 360! Orka charges again, as Achilles charges again, but this time Alex is in under and now pushes Orka into the Hardox spikes, and flips. Orka is left with his front over the arena wall, as Achilles comes in and flips. Orka crashes down onto the outside of the arena!

        Result:
        Orka MK.4 (13) dives too far down!
        ACHILLES (22) GOES THROUGH TO ROUND 5!!!!

        Back comes a Storm 2 clone, hoping to recreate the formers success. A simple box wedge, with 6 wheel drive, and 2 LEM-130€™S at 46V, giving 25mph and 18hp. It also has a fiercely thick front end, being armoured with 1cm of Aluminium Boron Carbide, a substance which is twice as thick as the tough metal, Tungsten Steel, but lighter than Titanium, as well as having 5mm ABC for the sides and rear, including 14mm Polycarbonate for the top. The Bio-Hazard flipper has some power, but an axe could get through the top!

        POWERRRRRR!! Considered to be one of the most powerful vapourbot rammers. Its still a serious tough nut, using two B42-500 Magmotors at 60V, produce what AJ describes as €˜a kick-ass 64hp!€™ which is a lot. The speed is low at 15mph to give good control, and the front is nearly unbreakable at 5mm Hardox! The 4 wheels give good grip, but a sudden change in torque could break the motors, and the fixed wedge is useless if flipped! But it did well in the heat, as it pitted Nodachi, with help from 9th seed, Tornado. In Round Two, it took damage from The Demonic Element, but soon confined it to the pit. And in the heat final, more damage from Mr. Slave 2, but also confined him to the pit!

        The final round 4 battle of the first semi is about to kick off. It€™s a big battle, so lets start it!

        Kali is much faster than its more powerful opponent, as he speeds in, with all 6 Vulkalon treaded tyres gripping the wood, and gets under the front of the 4-wheel-drive ForcePower and slams back the AJ machine! Kali backs off and attacks the sides of ForcePower Turbo, and flips it over! AJ now runs over to the flipping spikes, but Kali catches him first, and slams him into the top-left corner, but not flipping yet. AJ spins his machine away from Kali, as he flips. ForcePower now gets under the flipper and pins Kali in the corner. But soon, Kali is back underneath, and charges ForcePower into the bottom of the arena, smacks into the wall, and flips! OOTA! ForcePower is gone!

        Result:
        ForcePower Turbo isn€™t so forceful after all!
        KALI GOES THROUGH TO ROUND 5!!!

                Well the fights are improving a little... I would complain about my battle but being as ForcePower Turbo has been inactive since early 2005 its not worth the bother.

                  Ive decided Im going to send in the Round 5 fights from Semi-Final 1. Enjoy

                  KILLOTINE: EVO vs. ACHILLES

                  Just one robot is standing in the way of either of these two machines winning through to the finals. They have to fight to make it through, but which one will win?

                  Booth #1: Steven M
                  Booth #2: Alex H

                  Roboteers, stand by!!!

                  The machines here don€™t want to lose at this stage, so they dart forward to cause pain! Killotine ends up side-on to Achilles, and starts to beat with the axe, but on the top of Achilles is one inch of Vulcanised rubber. The axe is doing nothing! But it doesn€™t stop Achilles being slammed into the Hardox spikes at 16mph speeds. Achilles is pinned in, as the axe continues to beat, but soon Alex successfully reverses away from trouble and gets side-on to Killotine! Alex pushes for a bit, and breaks the skirts! And then a powerful flip shows the flipper€™s power! Killotine spins over, but luckily lands right side-up and then turns to attack the opponent, getting under the extension plate, and getting Achilles€™ wheels off the ground! Using some clever control, Killotine now gets around the rear of Achilles and clamps down using the axe, trying to cause damage, but is unable to, so be rams Achilles across the arena. However, Steven makes a mistake and DRIVES ACROSS THE FLIPPING SPIKES! With Killotine turned upside-down, struggling to get back up, Alex wastes no time in breaking free and getting around the rear of Killotine! But the worried Steven finally self-rights except it self-rights with Achilles right next to it! Achilles is under the skirts and flips him again! Killotine, once more self-rights ONTO the entire front of the lower seeded Achilles! Steven starts to break out in sweat, as Alex charges the Champion towards the arena wall, feeling a surge of excitement as he flips the top seed up but not over the wall! Steven calms down, as his robot lands upside-down, he just simply activates the axe, but he self-rights onto the side-wall!! Alex now senses victory and he drives behind the beached Killotine and with one flick of the flipper SENDS THE CHAMPION OOTA! What a shock! Achilles reverses into the spotlight, and spins in delight!

                  Result:
                  Killotine: EVO (1) has his reign of tyranny come to an end!
                  ACHILLES (22) GOES THROUGH TO THE SERIES GRAND FINAL!!!

                  LEPROSY INFECTION vs. KALI

                  We€™ve already one potential series winner in the Grand Final. Who will the second be?

                  The robots drive into the centre of the rear, as Leprosy bounces up the unseeded contestant with the drum, and so Kali reverses away from danger. Kali quickly speeds up again, as Leprosy Infection hits it again with the drum, this time in the sides!! Kali makes contact, and is thrown away slightly by the drum, and Leprosy Infection pushes into the side, flipping the speeding robot away. Kali now self-rights and gets under the side of Leprosy Infection and flips him 360! Chris runs away as Kali comes in again, but Leprosy reverses into the wall, as Kali charges in, but Chris dodges to the side, as Alex rams in, and hits Kali in the side, stacking the Holt robot against the wall. Leprosy Infection charges in, and the robots side armour is semi-broken away. Kali self-rights, but is only moving on one side! Leprosy has jammed the side armour AGAINST the wheels on that side, so Leprosy shoves him into that wall, leaving Kali unable to move! Kali seems to have no life left in it, as the audience counts down, as Chris jumps with delight - he€™s through to the series final!!!

                    Here we enter, semi-final 2! Let battle begin!

                    Thee honourable majesty has come to claim her rightful throne! The Black Panther Queen (or BPQ) has an axe/flipper combo that can be suitably admired, can two Bosch motors. The speeds given are 24mph and 4hp, not the best in a straight shoving match but good enough. The axe is diamond edged and made of steel and capable of piercing, and the flipper can lift around 550kg! It has 4 wheel drive and the rear is sprung down to provide better grip. The armour is made of 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide and has two inches of Titanium foam. This robot has done seriously well, especially in the heats, where it pitted Flea 2.0 with no trouble at all, and then bossed away T.O.C.2 in round two, before completely dominating an all-seeds final against the 20th seed, Drilla Killa 7. After slamming everywhere and axing and flipping, BPQ sent him OOTA, to claim her rightful place in the semi-final!

                    Enter the engineering marvel! Big Nipper is a Titanium box with a special method of driving - it has four wheels on top of the robot and four on the bottom, allowing complete control whichever way it€™s up. For weapons, it uses crushing claws which don€™t have too much crushing force but can lift and flip over! The pushing power is enough to make someone very scared. That was easily proved in Round One, where it performed well against Ze Newie and Intensity, but it was ultimately Ze Newie who pitted Intensity. In Round 2, it was an easy victory against the clusterbot of Split Decision. For and Against (the two clusters) were no match for the control and power of Big Nipper, who pitted one half, thus pitting the whole robot! In the heat final, Big Nipper met its most dangerous opposition in the form of the mighty flipper, Stratos-Fear! Everyone fought Stratos would win easily, but Big Nipper bossed it, taking only one flip. Eventually, Big Nipper pitted Stratos-Fear to win through to the series semi-finals!

                    With only two places left in the series final, the tension is building up. So let€™s begin!

                    Big Nipper and BPQ drive into the centre, and first of all, Big Nipper is underneath the sides of BPQ, and lifting it up before slamming it into the arena wall! Being balanced on its side, Black Panther Queen self-rights away from danger using the axe, and turns to get underneath the front of Big Nipper, but Big Nipper is pushing back still, driving it into the pit release button. After being momentarily pinned back by the real-robot, Black Panther Queen flips it up and over, and now around the rear of it, now fires the axe down, but that does no damage to the heavily armoured Big Nipper, so Mark now cunningly raises the claws and grabs onto the axe! Big Nipper now drags Black Panther Queen across the arena, and the retraction of the axe pulls Black Panther Queen over! Big Nipper still holds on, but suddenly let€™s goes, and then Black Panther Queen uses its flipper to self-right and its speed to get behind Big Nipper and throw it upwards!, landing once again in-front of the vapour, Big Nipper now gets under Black Panther Queen again and slams it into the arena wall. Alex Holt now spins this machine around, and gets under Big Nipper€™s front, and fires the axe to keep it still, and now slams it into the left wall and then back down the arena at awesome speeds, being aggressive all the time, as finally, Big Nipper escapes, but Black Panther Queen gets the blade of the flipper underneath, and throws him right into the air. As Big Nipper lands, €˜CEASE€™ is called out! What a fight, but who scored the victory here?

                    Welcome one of the most simplistic but effective vapourbots ever! With its Hardox armour and 16mph speeds, as well as the flipper that is full-pressured and can lift 1000kg, and will score an OOTA no problem, and the skirts are good. If the flipper runs out through, it€™ll be going back to the primordial ooze. Although, after its stirling performance in the heats, it may seem a little unlikely. In Round One, Steve teamed up with Alan Young and Merlin to take out Rouge, with a joint flipping attack. GeForce Evo 3.0 couldn€™t land a good enough attack in and he was confined to be thrown OOTA as well. In the Heat Final, Wedge met Merlin again, and despite ending up in trouble once, Wedge flicked Merlin onto the wall, leaving Alan to watch his helpless machine be sent OOTA as well!

                    Look out for the eye of the storm, and look out for Psyclonised!! This can do quite well - it€™s an invertible circular robot, with a spinning ring around the edge, making it something known as a ring spinner, but it also has a basic spinning cage mounted to it, which has 3 large Hardox blocks attached to dish out some serious hurts! The cage works as an anti-axe frame, and speeds of 15mph are nothing to argue with. If anyone can find a weakness in this machine, we€™ll be the first to tell you€¦even though we might not need to. In the heat, Psyclonised managed to cause serious damage to everyone at will, taking out Panic 3 GTI 2, RingMaster and 7th seed SNDOS all via literal KO! Can anything stop the seemingly unstoppable?

                    Tension is building up. These two designers have fought each other many times, with these robots, but never with the versions you€™re about to see. The drivers wave from the control pods, as the battle is about to begin!

                    Wedge quickly flies away from the starting position! He€™s desperate to stop Psyclonised spinning! He€™s failed, and AJ dodges to the side, hitting Wedge in the side, causing a massive dent! Steven tries spinning onto the ring to prevent more damage being caused, but in the attempt to prevent his opponent damaging him, he takes major damage as the dented side receives another massive blow, and it lands on the floor, bent and broken out of shape. Psyclonised is getting whooped by the crowd, as they are lapping up the chance to see unbelievable damage caused to the devolved Wedge! Wedge now speeds in again, this time getting under the ground clearance and flipping it over. Psyclonised quickly spins back up to speed, as Wedge charges in, and another dent is caused. Psyclonised runs out into the arena centre and waits for Wedge to follow him. Nothing, but then Steven slams Psyclonised so hard that the spinning ring does no more damage to Wedge, and now AJ runs away, and hits again, ripping another Hardox panel off! But now Steven doesn€™t stop, he keep on pressurising Psyclonised all the way to the arena wall. And then Wedge fires his flipper, and the gravitational forces send Psyclonised to great heights and then over the arena wall. The audience gasp as Psyclonised is thrown OOTA!!!

                    There€™s a Storm brewing! The robot is nothing special - box-shaped, 25mph top speed, low front, until you get underneath and find all the working, and its 18hp drive and Vantec speed controller, designed to help all 6 Vulcanised wheels put the power down, and help use the seriously thick Titanium armour on the front (12mm) and sides (6mm) and Magmotor powered lifter. It did well in round one, where it shoved around both Insectide and PRP, before balancing Insectide on its side, leaving it for the count. In the second round, it got a scare when Bigger Brother nearly pitted it, and then stacked it against the wall! Storm 2 recovered from that to win on a JD 42-33. If it was failing then, it wasn€™t in the heat final against 18th seed MORD2, where he shoved it everywhere, and soon down the pit to complete the semi-final line-up!

                    From Hampshire, Push-Ish!!

                    When push comes to shove, Push-Ish just pushes more! An invertible 2 wheeled wedge with a rear scoop/drum weaponry. The drum weighs 1.3kg, but can cause serious damage with the teeth. The motor is a petrol powered, super-charged, custom-built rotary engine, producing 65hp! The gearing means speeds of 20mph are no problem! The armour of 4mm Hardox for the scoop and speeds of 20-30mph are no problem! Winning is also no problem, as in Round One, it slammed around 31st seed Battle Raptor 4, eventually confining it to the pit. In Round Two, Dervish V/ was slammed everywhere, then finally down the pit as well. The heat final opponent was the impressive looking Hypertension Mk.2. They exchanged rams and flips for a while, but then Push-Ish rammed Hypertension into the Hardox spikes so hard, that Hypertension was impaled there! Push-Ish made the semis in style!

                    We have only four more battles and we will have completed the final 4 line-up. This fight involves the two most impressive rammers in the competition, so expect a good fight, starting€¦NOW!!

                    Storm 2 is slightly faster and speeds out, followed by Push-Ish. They almost met head-to-head, but Storm 2 has reached the sides of Dave€™s machine! Ed slams the newcomer into the arena sidewall, sending it flying into the air. As Push-Ish lands, Storm 2 charges in but Dave turns the scoop into Storm 2, and Dave with the greater pushing power slams back Storm 2 at enormous velocity into the other arena sidewall! Dave backs off and finally, Storm 2 decides to go for the pit release button. Dave gets side-on to Storm and Push-Ish shoves Storm 2 hard, but not towards the pit. Ed now spins away from the scoop, and charges for the sides, before lifting the scoop of Push-Ish off the ground. With most of Push-Ish in the air, Ed drives his opponent towards the pit, and eventually, Push-Ish falls in with a €˜BANG€™!

                    Here comes one of the competition terrors, and one of the most deadly machines in the contest! The yellow monster, armed with the 33.072kg shell powered by 2 x LEM130€™s at 36V, giving off 183kj, capable of destroying lots with the teeth set-up! The 15mph top speed provides perfect control and speed balance, So don€™t try to catch it! In Round One, it took on SUNCUST and Die-Ceratops ReInvertus, and caused harm to both of them, until SUNCUST was flicked OOTA by Die-Ceratops. In Round Two, Whirligig took on the Anti-Spin, a Dave Sheppard robot designed to kill spinners. But Whirligig€™s persistent attacks won it the 50-25 JD. In the heat final, it got sent flying by Die-Ceratops ReInvertus, but shredded the rubber on its tyres, allowing the FBS to win through!

                    €˜Boo-hoo! I€™m fighting Roo€™ is what every Roboteer says! It€™s a 17.5cm high cylinder with a ring spinning around the 1.3m diameter. That ring weighs 40kg with 8 x 4-inch long steel teeth around the edge, and a revolutionary speed of 1300rpm! This amount of speed gives 166kj of energy per blow! And trying to damage the robot isn€™t necessary as the armour is 4mm Titanium under 2mm Polyurethane rubber. The motors give out 12hp and 15mph! In Round One, it showed its danger, as it shredded up Axe-O-Lotl with ruthless efficiency, and then blasting the 30th seed, Turbulence. In the heat final, it struggled against Tenderizer€™s Revenge 2, as the body armour was too tough. But after repeated attacking, Tenderizer died as well, leaving Roo 2 to advance to the semis!

                    The two most powerful ring spinners are prepared to do battle. It€™s also the last round 4 fight. So Gentlemen - take arms once more!

                    Both robots remain stationary, and then they drive forward, their shells fully spun up! Whirligig is hit, but doesn€™t sustain any damage quite surprisingly and neither does Roo! They drive away and then smash back into each other! Still no carnage. Roo now charges, and hits into Whirligig and bounces him back a bit, but Roo€™s ring isn€™t quite spinning, and Steven drives forward, and a large €˜BOOM€™ can be heard! Roo is smoking from inside. Presumably, the multiple hits caused damage to the weapon motor and the last hit has destroyed a vital electronic. Matt doesn€™t have time to presume though, as he gets counted down!

                            Right! These are the final two fights before the Grand Final! Strap yourselves in and get ready!

                            STORM 2 vs. WEDGE DEVOLUTION

                            Up next are two great all-stars of robots. And this is for a place in the grand final! Oh the tension - lets just write it!

                            Ed is eager to get through this fight, as he thunders across the ring into Wedge! He turns at just the right moment to end up side-on. He can€™t quite break the skirting, but he has enough power to slam the Wedge-shaped Wedge across the arena at its maximum speed! Wedge leaps up, as have so many before that have fought Storm 2 in the past. Steven lands on the side of Storm 2, and reverses off it, but Storm 2 turns around to end up behind him, and rams Wedge back into the wall. Wedge now spins around to end up side-on to the 2nd seed, and powers under, but misses the chance to flip! Reversing across the wall, Storm and Wedge battle across the arena to the pit release button! Ed drives side-on again, but Steven, turning just before, now has now got the wedge underneath Storm 2 again, and this time, succeeds in flipping!! He flips the real-robot up 3ft, but Storm 2 lands on his wheels - bad news for Steven, as Storm 2 charges in again, with all 6 wheels gripping the floor as it rams in, but the Scottish machine drives back and then charges forward under the 2nd seed, flipping him up, and finally over! As Storm 2 drives into a mild frenzy, Ed drives up the sides of Wedge and slams him back into the arena spikes, but drives up ONTO the flipper! Wedge throws Storm 2 away! The real robot flies 3ft into the air, and lands the right way up again, but he doesn€™t have any time to move away, as Wedge drives in and flips him again, this time into the arena wall! Storm 2 balances slightly on the arena wall€¦but he falls back in! Storm tries to escape, but Steven flips him away reverses onto the flipping spikes, and they self-right him, and then he drives into the sides of Wedge Devolution and slams him down the end of the arena twice, using the lifting arm to raise the flipper up and then charge down the ring! On impact, Wedge starts to only move an one side, as €˜CEASE€™ is called!

                            What an amazing battle, with moments of fear, excitement and a few other things. But who has made the grand final? The judges will decide!

                            Black Panther Queen storms off the starting square, and whacks into the not-quite spun-up Whirligig! Whirligig is pinned against the arena wall, and is moving any way, but seems unable to break free, so Black Panther Queen fires the axe, but misses Whirligig, and gets itself stuck in the floor! Steven now moves away, and spins up, before speeding and smashing the axe shaft! The axe of the Black Panther Queen hangs limply over the front of it, as he charges back at Whirligig 4.0, but takes some serious damage to the front, as a whole sheet of ABC is ripped off the front of Black Panther Queen! Whirligig then charges in again, but that impact is absorbed in by the Titanium foam! Black Panther Queen isn€™t finished yet though, as he gets the flipper blade underneath the ground clearance of Whirligig, charges him backwards and flips! Whirligig is thrown sky-high, but lands and shuffles away, and makes another blow to the armour of Black Panther Queen, this time the right-side! No matter how bad the damage is, Alex€™s black robot is still driving on, as he gets in another ram, but is flung off into the distance, with the damage becoming worse, as another hit is scored - BANG - the flipper is badly torn and ripped! But we€™re entering the final few seconds of the battle, as the final place in the series finale is up for grabs, Alex still insists on attacking still, as Whirligig is now charged down, and smashed into the arena wall as €˜CEASE€™ is called!

                            Another JD to decide who goes through to the grand final! Tense!

In Round Five, it was drawn against the 4th seed, Black Panther Queen, and tore it apart, breaking the axe and armour. Alex lasted long enough to go to the judges but Whirligig still won the 49-26 decision!

                              You can€™t hurt this robot - where€™s its heel?! This time, this box-shaped 30hp generating robot has all the power and weapons to do well. The weapon is a powerful lifter/flipper, capable of lifting up 500kg. The armour is 5mm Titanium, a weak substance against spinners, but at the front, it is very strong. The 2 x Eteks at 46V giving 18mph as well as the 30hp, giving superb speed. The 4 wheels also give it the right amount of grip on the arena floor. Overall, a thoroughly good robot with a great record! This showed in Round One, where it and Automatic Schmuck attacked Windiest Killer, taking some damage from the bar on Automatic Schmuck, but soon pitting Windiest Killer! In Round Two, it took on SD IV, and bossed it for the whole fight, pushing around, ramming it, and soon flipping it OOTA! In the heat final, it faced its toughest challenge yet, as it took serious damage from Automatic Schmuck, but when the Aussies got their bar caught in the wall, it was all over! In the first round of the semis, Achilles was drawn against Orka MK.4. After getting overturned by Orka MK.4, Achilles fought back and soon sent the whale over the edge€¦of the arena! But in the next round, Achilles pulled off the biggest shock of the series, where it has an even battle against the REIGNING CHAMPION, Killotine: EVO and its axe. Killotine seemed to be dominating at one point, but poor driving by Steve allowed Achilles to get him to the arena sidewall, and toss him out!

                              With only ONE fight separating these two from a place in the final. The Roboteers get to their Booths, to the encore of cheering and whooping! Only one robot can win this fight, but who will it be?

                              Whirligig spins up, as the powerhouse called Achilles ploughs over to Whirligig! Steven side-steps, thanks to his greater timing and traction, but Alex catches him off-guard and slams Whirligig into the sidewall! After pinning it there, Alex is forced to let Whirligig go, who waits no time in getting spun-up again! Achilles now has to dodge Whirligig€™s blades, but isn€™t quite able and takes a HUGE smack to the side, followed by a massive blow to the flipper! As Achilles is sent spinning, an omega attack is sent out by Whirligig! BOOM! We have a look and see CO2 erupting from the Holt robot - its flipper has been disabled! Alex is unphased by that onslaught, and pushes back under the ground clearance and slams him back down the ring, but soon Whirligig is spun up again, as Achilles is sent spinning! And Achilles is over the flipping spikes, and is overturned! Alex knows he now can€™t self-right! Steven just give him one last powerful hit, smashing into it and tearing the side-armour to the left off!

In Round Five, Storm 2 was drawn against Wedge Devolution and they had a closely contested fight, involving flips, rams, pushes, and loads of flying, and involved Storm 2 almost flying OOTA. But still, the fight ended with a JD, which just went in Storm 2€™s favour 38-37.

                              Back again to start its reign of infection, Chris Mason€™s latest machine returns! Back again, this 4 wheel drive drummer with attitude and 7mm Titanium protection and 18mph top speeds returns with two noticeable improvements - the Shunt like scoop on the front to help push robots around and the 8mm Titanium wheel flaps. The drum spins at 4000rpm and weighs 15kg, generating around 35-40kj of energy! Nothing can go wrong, unless the wheels get targeted by axes! But that is unlikely to happen, as there are no axes left in the competition! In the heat, he took some flips from Wedgie 5 and Aquarius, but eventually caused damage to Aquarius, who was then thrown OOTA by Wedgie! It took on Happy Birthday Party Pooper in the second round, and dented in the armour, preventing the shell spinning, and then drumming it OOTA. It took on Wedgie in the heat final, and after taking a nasty flip, it overturned Wedgie and then sliced up the wheels, before overturning him, and attacking the self-righter. Leprosy Infection was then in the semis! In the semis, it took on the ring-spinner of Star 69, and won effortlessly, shoving it down the pit relatively easily! In Round Five, Kali was the opponent, and it was very even, until a blow to the sides left Kali stuck moving on one side, and out of the contest!

                              This is for more than just a place in the Grand Final - it€™s a grudge match. These two met in the heat final last time, where Storm 2 won on a judges decision by one point. Chris wants revenge for that, and gets an added bonus if he wins!

Ed eagerly bashes underneath the ground clearance, and lifts up Leprosy Infection before smashing him down the ring in a highly speedy move, and Leprosy flies into the air, but bouncing down with the drum facing the side of Storm 2! Chris now drives into the side of Storm 2 and flips it onto its back! Storm 2 spins away and drives into the pit release button, but Leprosy attacks the front with the drum, and flicks it up onto the wall! Ed starts to worry, as he presses the lifting arm and activates the wheels, and it seems that Storm 2 is stuck there! Chris powers down the drum, and spins in victory but suddenly Storm 2 drives off the wall, and turns back under Leprosy Infection! Having been taken by surprise, Chris finds his machine being shoved back up the ring into the Hardox spikes! Large holes have been caused to the armour of Leprosy Infection, as Storm 2 wrestles under, and now, using its weapon, levers it over with the lifting arm! The upside-down Leprosy is still slammed hard into the wall, and now Storm 2 lifts Leprosy Infection against the wall. Chris starts to spin the wheels to gain grip, but no result! He spins the drum to try and bring Leprosy off the wall, but no result - Storm 2 has escaped from this position in the fight, but Chris€™ awesome drummer can€™t! The audience begins the count!

                              As the count is completed, Storm 2 lets Leprosy Infection off the wall, and Chris now decides to fight without the drum, and so scoops up Storm 2 and pushes it into the arena wall, but Ed spins around the rear of Chris€™ robot and flips it, before driving down the arena at incredible speeds, and finally down the pit!

                              Result:
                              Leprosy Infection (10) turns green with envy!!
