Even four drills can make a decent rambot, more so if you over-volt them a bit. But the build quality of the GR01s is considerably better (in my opinion) to bog-standard drills, so they'd be more suited to a rambot.
Speed 900s would be more reliable still, but you would have to sort out some form of gearing obviously.
Perfect ceri, and so smidsy cysm has been born, work shall start after whitwick on it and should Hopfully be ready for the champs, screw a spinner, that can wait till next year
Gimsons look good, but don't knock drills. In it's heyday Prodigy ran 4 drills on 75mm blue wheels and was as reliable as anything If I can actually find/afford a ESC that can handle 4 motors I will most definitely be bringing it back.
I'll try and get it ready for the champs but I'll probably end up doing it for the HW champs, may even get ant smidsy for then aswell, are all going to try and be as similar as possible
Probably end up using 4 drill motors due to cost and ease of purchase for me but over volt them and 30a esc's on each wheel should solve that problem
I run 12v drills, 4 of 'em, 100mm blue wheels, overvolted to 18v, 30a Electronize ESCs on each side. I don't have any other machines to compare by but even with just 8kg behind it for grip, it's a beast. Definitely superior enough to make an effective pusher. Does about 10mph too.
