    Help with disc

The larger fan motors Ive seen are 600W 12V, which is 2.4kW at 24V, which is much more acceptableas a spinner power source :-)

We are currently running a Briggs & Stratton motor in our feather weight. I believe its around the 3Kw mark, maybe more on 12v.

u spinner fanatic aaron . i heard from somewhere that tantrum uses a fan motor for its awesome shell or whatever it is. It depensds really how u use them but they do have a nice bit of power in them and when used right u get one mean spinner.

Eddys correct. The fan motors from the Audi 100 will peak at about 600W at their rated voltage.

BlacknBlue uses a heater blower motor. Its a 12v motor from a bus. At 12v it takes about 3amps no load and 70 amps when stalled. We run our disk at 24v on it. Its been rebuilt three times now and has been supercharged with special magnets
Ive put a picture of the new rebuilt NV BlacknBlue on my profile

The new BlacknBlue looks great Rob.

I think the most important thing with spinners is to keep the whole arrangment stiff and true- if you do that, you will reap the benefits. I would say that its as important as the motor.

Yeah i find a big, stiff one can be really impressive just look at Eds Vortex for example really well handled and always gives a top performance.

Well soon as i seen Eddys post i had to comment on Eds stiffness and performance because Vortex is a great example of keep the whole arrangement stiff and true and you will reap the benefits.
