Thanks Nick, looking at some of the components you produce it certainly looks like it could do the business

Its been a while since I posted

Spur 2 with the Dewuts tends to break the bolts between the sprocket and wheel on a regular basis
I've moved to drilling out and using 3 x 4mm hardened pins held in with JB weld. Time will tell but I'm optimistic this will hold

        Next thing is Spur 3

Been working on this off and on , trying to decide how to do the drive
Finally came down on aluminium bulkheads bolted into the chassis.
I will be using Vesc's but for test some good old SimonK TZ85A will do

Need to get the thread on the wheels and internal supports, top plate support, battery box and weapons system. So almost there then !

PS: Still havent finished the kitchen

Well did a first test with some SimonK flashed TZ85a
Being very overpowered gives it controllability , who would of thought it

Change in direction is good and it bunny hops. Still trying to squeeze a weapon in. hehe

Considering that's only on 5S and in a confined space, it's gonna be awesome at full chat! What's the current weight? And are you looking into magnets for extra traction?

I think we can agree that brushless up to the featherweight class is basically "confirmed" now! Looks good.

Need to weigh again, I'm going to use it all
Have to build up the battery compartment and decide on the lid material (hardox or Ti)
Plan to have side HDPE panels bolted on and add some additional thickness to the front buttress
Like the thought of magnets and played with those before but need to get the strength right

Here's a useful tool for getting magnets right; I used it for Incomplete Control and it's pretty spot on.. https://www.kjmagnetics.com/calculator.asp

Seeing all these robots now with hardox, would a swarm of microbots with magnets work?

See I was thinking this the other day. What if you entered like five or six featherweights as a heavyweight, and just slipped underneath the opponent and pushed them into the pit?

Imagine a feather being flipped by a modern flipper....

You mean like Behemoth in Episode 1 of the new series? Or did you mean full pressure specifically?

Modern flippers, like Eruption , Kronic, Iron Awe and the daddy of those, Gravity.

Off to Stevenage with Spur 3 for its first outing. More of a test run as weapon is not finished. Also made a mess of my plastics order hence the clear lid (not for posing honest)
