Re: Sabretooth Reborn as a Feather

have the steel rim go into the aluminium centre more on the opposite side of the tooth. on omen i have a section milled out of the tooth and surrounding area, this could be hard to implement on a rim style disc though.

So it will balance with the opposite tooth profile inside the rim? yes

Re: Sabretooth Reborn as a Feather

          Really nice looking machine there!

You will need a bit more than just the equivalent tooth on the inside of the rim because although they would be the same mass, the inner tooth is closer to the pivot and so isnt balanced. Will need a little bit more. If you email me your drawing and dimensions Il produce a 3d cad version with the counter balance single tooth design. james(at)robochallenge.co.uk

          Keep up the good work!

Looking good Gabe. I like the slots you've got in the base for the bulkheads; combined with screwing/bolting them together, it should make for a very solid chassis.
Can't remember if I've asked this before, but are the two idle wheels friction-driven from the powered wheels, or do they just spin freely? It looks like friction drive in one of the pictures but not 100% sure.

                            Hi Jamie

I wanted all the parts to be able to interlock into each other, The non drive wheels will indeed be driven off a jockey wheel. the only way i could make the wheel base and the robot as small as it is.

the base measures 220x300 so quite small
