    here's a bit of an update........ finally cut the side and got most of it welded together (haven't done stick welding in ages) but it went well......ish

      bit of an update
      got the front plate welded on and the esc and receiver fixed into a plastic box and i also cleaned up the welds with a flapper disc

            I plan on taking a hot glue gun to mine. Been advised by Dave (540) that the components have been known to 'shake' free......

            Great controllers though, just have to look after them.

              hope fully if mine breaks i might be able to get my work to fix it as they have most of the basic components ..... and i'm intending to take the 2 i'm making at the mo into work so people can have a look and a play

                Hey Pj, if you want a protective box for your electrics, I bought a good sized metal one for my lipos but its just a mite too small, you are welcome to it if you want it .

                  Hey Dave, that would be awesome thanks! Give them a bit of protection in the wood. Plus I need metal under my Li-Po (it's only small) tis the rules apparently.....

                    finally got the removable link and fuse set up and i also found some useful connector blocks to split the power between the LED's motors and weapons.................im also looking at adding a GYRO, i got 1 cheep off ebay mainly just to see if it makes any real differance

                          lol its only 5mm mild steel but if i have any weight left im gonna add some polycarbonate or some other sacrificial plastic to the sides

                                lol hope so ...... my next job is to get the lifter and top plate done and put some angle round the sides so it doesn't get stuck on its side
