I am starting the build thread for my new robot Full Tilt. A new concept I believe hasnt been done before and i hope will entertain as well as be competative. My Avatar is a render done by Martijn Benschop (awsome too) so i can see what it will look like before i put metal to grinder. Origionally was going to house a mini Etek for the weapon will now sport a Mag motor to start with...if we feel we need more power then we will upgrade to a mini Etek or Lem.
With a 4x4 configuration running on mag c40's on a 9 to 1 ish gear ratio with 10 inch solid rubber wheels it wont be as fast as Envy Or Thor but will have tons of pushing power from the tourqe produced from the good old maggies. The weapon will be central mounted and geared to 36 to 1 giving over 300 hp with a mini Etek. way ott so lowering to a mag might work just fine but ever upgrading is the teambud way. The drive will be running on the custom made LAMBERT POWER DRIVE gear boxs with chains to the other set of wheels. the weapon will be interchangable with many scoops of different shapes and sizes to choose from adapting to which robot it will fight. Rotating 360 degrees at an estimated 1/4 second per revolution its gonna be fun learning to work the weapon never mind learning how to drive it.....lets face it i am not the best driver.
Parts are almost collected and manufactured ready to build and will be posting pictures as i progress. (probably Joey or Liam actually
Hopefully ready for kidderminster. (gulp)
