            Re: Team Avenger build diary

just the last of the welding to do, then it will take about a day to get all my parts inside, but then the job I have been trying to avoid, the trial and error of making the claws with the weight I will have spare.

that will be interesting, pics soon of bot without claws and not fully painted... hopfully

                Re: Team Avenger build diary

its in a absolute mess but i think with lain's creative thinking it would be able to get up and running again, and probably better than how it was for me

                      Re: Team Avenger build diary

Did reckon anyone else would have an original Xbox in their room except me , also didn't think anyone else would use quite as many cable ties and we did either.

                          Re: Team Avenger build diary

ye, its very large for a feather and looks in a complete mess, but i think lian will be able to get it running again.

the cable ties were from today when we tryed to do a system check for the parts for my new bot and it didnt work

something was up in the system that we just couldnt find. what ill probably do is dis-connect everything and re-solder it all back together properly

What sort of size is it? Doesn't look insanely big or anything. I always just use terminal blocks to test things rather than soldering it, just so you can disconnect it all more easily if its not going as planned.

                              Re: Team Avenger build diary

the main shell is 43cm x 43cm x 10cm with the addition of the wedge

next weekend you will see it with a new 3mm stell scoop and 2cm steel sided all bolted on and it might be able to take a few hits from spinner

but the steel would only be mounted on 3mm polycarb, but eventually will be fully welded together and after that will be a full metal shell

Cicatrix is 44cm x 41cm x 10cm with the pusher pod on so not a massive difference. Its well within the weight limit too, looking to add some weight before Edinburgh, so could just stash the old Daiske inside the front pod .

Sounds like some good improvements, will be interesting it in action.
