        Would love to fight one of the hannibalito's, never had the chance, the flipper arms should fly of pretty nicely if you dont get me first.... thats the fun of it though

        done a bit more tonight, disc still fits;

        limit switches fitted and tested electrically, just need to make a wiper arm to hit the switches now. wont take long;

            Glad to see your putting it back together! Never got to see it perform.

                What is the disc driven and powered by? Two scorpions of some size [HK-30?] and I am guessing a 10S lipo?

                  scorpion HK4025-890KV on 6s;

                  originally it had two 30 size 1400kv motors, never worked reliably.... when it was filmed on gadgetshow it was only running on 1 small 30 size motor on 4s!...

                  theres a first stage reduction, then down to the angle grinder gears, the grinder pinion is supported both sides, 2 bearings in the gearbox and one at the other end with a bearing mounted into the side of the disc support....

                  Had an accident with the limit switch setup while finnishing the self righter... which resulted in blowing a track on my H5.... Again.... sorted it now though, patched the track back up... after all the repairs to the PCB over the years... theres not alot of original board left now lol;

                    So with 360's disc at slightly under 5kg, running on a HK4025-890 at 22.2v with a 6S lipo. What is the reduction from the theoretical 19758 RPM?
                    With Binky its a HK4035-630 on 10S with a 4:1 reduction and the disc weighs 3.5kg... does that sound potent? Our theoretical is 23310RPM to 5800 rpm at the disc.

                      you'll be fine at that... 360's setup might be going a similar way.... higher voltage = lower current.

                        So that line in the show about it working perfectly wasn't entirely true At least the end of the sentence was right!

                          After not being able to find a supplier of brass gears, and having a boring day I decided to make my own with files and a lathe as a challenge;

                          Turned gear blank made from bronze;

                          1/4 of the teeth done here... Very boring work;

                          A few blisters from a needle file later gives this;

                          After a tidy up and some greese, in it goes;

                          Just one more to do and I'll be happy

                            Most bored people just sit and play Xbox or something. You go and make some precision brass gears from scratch by hand. Crazy person :shock:

                            Seriously impressive. Most of us would end up with off-centre gears and wonky teeth if we tried that. Did you just use the plastic ones for reference to get your spacing and such spot on?
