Little video of 180 hitting Sloth. I got about half hours worth of footage but just edited it down to a short video of 180's good hits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULm2vuYn ... ture=g-u-u
We was playin for a good couple of hours and both robots stood up to the punishment really well. 180 did some sweet 360 style gyro dancing.
I'm just wondering what I should use to control my brushed weapon motor for my beetle, considering its size ? There will not be enough room for a pair of decent relays. Would those 12A ones that look like ant controllers be of any use ?
Quick question:
If Beetles will be following FW rules with regards to links, lights, cradles and sharp edge protection...does it follow the same rules for Lipo's?
I ask because I can't fit a 2mm base into my design, and I dunno how thick anyone elses bade is on here...
we can be more lenient with the rules when it comes to things like baseplate thickness for lipos, We are using really small lipos so it shouldnt be an issue, Just dont have them exposed.
There isn't actually a rule about the Li-Po base thing, there was just a forum discussion. Besides I'm pretty sure it was to protect the arena floor in case of fire.
But let's face it, any battery can go up (NiCad, Nimh, Li-Po) and if the floor is Hardox then what's the worry?
Maybe in the HW arenas I could see an argument but the RoboChallenge one your BW one?
