Is there much of a choice?

I dont think so. Either it is Roboteers Association number 3 or Svenska Robotrer which does have a nice sound and will leave non-Swedish puzzled about how to pronounce that - always good for comic relief.

Like the team Remco is in, the hometown is Schagen, but somehow Jonathan Pearce pronounced it as a sexual act.

That would sound good, but I still dont like the fact that its too open. If only we could involve the word kamp in some way.

As you well know, DRG is Dutchrobotgames. There is no real association with combat or war, or whatever. If we wanted to, we could just as easily be doing technogames type of events, or do real robotics.

Open is nice, gives you options. And after all, in the end:

          Whats in a name?

Something that has been mentioned on other parts of the forum is the obvious fact that we dont have much to loose by creating an association (or whatever you want to call it in English).

So in my opinion the first step would be to select a name, as there are at least two names currently floating in the air.

The options so far is either Svenska Kamprobotfreningen or Svenska Robotrer. Is there anyone who has any other idea or should we vote on those two?

Given the current options, I agree. But maybe we should get hold of more options before voting?

A new version of an earlier suggestion is Svenska Robottvlingsfrbundet. The difference is that this name suggests competition with robots rather than robots that compete.

Om vi d ska sammanfatta alternativen:

Svenska Robottvlingsfrbundet, som syftar p tvling med robotar.
Svenska Tvlingsrobotfrbundet, som syftar p robotar som tvlar.

                              Ngra andra frslag?
