Also, for anyone who remembers the 2010 event at the Gadget Show, my cousin will be returning in an attempt to not only play with some robots but also put on another demonstration on how to pull one of the models (he hopes!)

We have a reserve to Ibis Birmingham Airport again, £165 for 6 nights, 2 to 8 of April. This year i can't compete in both events (Birmingham and yeovilton) so, i will compete in Birmingham with Galactus and Rabid

since im new to the gadget show do i was wandering what the parking like is it a case of drop bits off and park a mile away or is it really close

What we had to do last year was go to a car park way up at the top of the complex, pick up an unloading pass which allowed us access to the door nearest the arena, unload all our stuff within a 15-minute window then take our car to one of the surrounding car parks. The ones we get told to use are usually a 5-minute walk at most. We were issued with special parking permits last year that permitted us to use the car parks for free as we were exhibitors.

I imagine it will be similar this year but James & Grant will provide all the necessary info nearer the time.

Yes we dropped our stuff (whilst forgetting a healthy amount of things too, like the robot's cradle, sigh) at the doors by the arena, then parked way off. It's fine, as long as you unload everything first time.

sadly i cant make this event as im in Switzerland skiing at that time (shame huh :P), turned out we'd planned it on the worst time as first i couldn't make my silver d of e trip, and now im missing the champs i was doing huge upgrades for bruizer as well, i was even going to try and make it vaguely competitive :/ shame, i hope i can go to the yeovil event though, would want to go to at least one full combat event this year

Just got the ok to take the previous week and monday off work. Bring on the fighting! Gutted to miss the champs last year. Time to make up for it
