2012 FRA UK Featherweight Championships by RoboChallenge
Re: 2012 FRA UK Featherweight Championships by RoboChallenge
Johnny 2x4- A 2wd wooden wedge bot. More details can be seen here viewtopic.php?f=240&t=4922
Speaking of wood, are there any other wooden robots? Not even my spiritual timber homeboy Block of Wood is there. So that 12 page thread in General Chat was for nought. :P
Re: 2012 FRA UK Featherweight Championships by RoboChallenge
Kaizer: Invertible 4 wheel drive robot with screw thread powered lifting forks. Based on former Welsh Robot Wars champion Panic Attack, this machine represents Wales for the competition.
I'm not aware of what many of these robots are like. If your entered could you please post a little bit about your machine so everyone knows what the competition is like. Thank you very much. I shall start -
Re: 2012 FRA UK Featherweight Championships by RoboChallenge
Not that I'm complaining, but how the hell did Drumroll manage to get 10th seed? It was utter cack last year!
Anyway, Drumroll: 2WD drum spinner, 15mm Nylon chassis and 4-6mm steel armour. Weapon weighs 2.3kg and is powered by a Scorpion brushless motor.
Carcinus: Unconventional (and possibly epic fail) three-wheel drive crab-bot, running 12V drills on 19.2V. Steel claws are only static, but will flash by in a blur as the robot heads straight for the pit
Re: 2012 FRA UK Featherweight Championships by RoboChallenge
Invictus- speed 900 powered drum running on 24v, 20mm hdpe armour, drill motor drive, aluminium lid and base
Centrifuge- horizontal bar spinner powered by replica speed 900 motor off 12v. Drill motor drive, 20mm hdpe armour and 3mm steel base and lid. Not built yet by should be fairly simple.
