Ive been following Scissorhands build thread over on the Robowars forum - a very cool looking machine that I hope does well
Dave has part-talked me into making a middle, and since Ive got a couple of Bosch 400s lying around, it would be a shame to let them accumulate dust :P
Might be next summer before it goes from an idea to existence but by then there should be plenty of opponents for me if theres a nice little blossom of middles coming around now
175 pages worth of posts
(not just for Scissorhands, but for Jolt and Chuck too, to name a couple more impressive machines to be produced by builder Nick Martin)
Ive linked to the most recent page, but if you go back a few pages, there are some pictures and videos of Scissorhands in actions around page 172-ish
i have plenty of bosch 400w lying around, loads of metal could soon knock something together, but i would have to wait to see if anyone else was up for it b4 i started building lol
Incidentally, if anyone remembers the US spinner bot F-Bomb being for sale a couple of years back (and Geoff considering bringing it to the UK!!) theres a recent picture of it about half-way down the page in that link I gave. Its been rechristened Relic but that was a tiny distraction compared to the new modification thats been made to it! Glad Im not entering the FWs at Robogames
Ok, arrived well today in San Francisco. Forgot the wallsocket from america to europe, and my razer. Doh. Glad they have one here at the hotel.
If anyone needs me, i can only recieve phonecalls. If you need my number, please ask Mario. Or try to email me on my hotmail.
Ill be staying at the argonaut hotel at fishermans warf.
The bridge is just a hologram. If you try to cross it, youll fall into the bay.
Its a better use of your time here to buy lots of Alcatraz Athletic Dept. t-shirts and eat crappy Chinese food and over-marketed restaurants in North Beach.
