i would go for 360 but iv gotta get ploughbot bk and then ill help jonno out if he hasnt already sorted it

at the uk champs my dad wernt there so he couldnt help fix so we had some stupid plastic on which we new would shatter

you should be scared of the flippers not the spinners! spinners r easier to beat

if i dont win then its either jonnos fault or my dads but it wont be jonnos cus his robot will work lol we will either had a wire come off the switch or a gas leak

we have ti we can use for armor which is from a certain heavy who doesnt take damage but thats if were under weight , its not for armor but could be used for it

I dont know what the hype about 360 is for, hardly anyone has seen it yet lol.
But that does mean 5 teams with 5 potentially nasty spinners!

its all about the flippers with these nasty rams - these discs what weigh 3KG dont mean nothing

spinners r harder to drive, take time to spin up , do more damage to themself , thats 3 main problems

flippers will flip any robot out from anywhere in robochallenge arena , we get gas leaks but ill make sure i dont , easy to drive

well another progress report...


I now have all the bits to put it back together, they are all in a bucket !!

If i get bored later i might start putting it together.... it wont be tested, thats what the arena is for

sorry little john, but flippers have their downsides also..... beauty can never actually damage another robot which is what i like to see, the other downer is flipper fights can finish far too quickly, and listen to the crowd when a spinner hits another machine, dont get me wrong i like flippers, they just bore me most of the times. At least i can say my robot is that dangerous that it can only go in 1 arena in the country at present. thats a good thing for me!

i see what you mean gary, i dont care if i go out in the first round lol, but i must admit a roboteer thats over confident i want to see go out in the first round! even if beauty flipped me out in the first round the first thing i would do is yawn LOL

i havent drove a spinner but from what iv seen when spun up fast there everywhere


if i go out 1st round ill just go shopping or to omega sektor lol and then come make for final etc so w/e happens will be fun event

i no what you mean about audience but in serious competitions its not about audience and is all about winning imo

and i have to go in confident or i will have no chance of winning

scorpion LEM is know scopion mag. as the LEM has to go in the big one. only started working on it today, its on the bench, all i have to do now is purt the drive in and wire it, halk hours work.

it has spun up, its goooooooooood. look forward to seeing you all. john, i accept your 3 problems, But
as has been said before, there are some good machines, some like mine i build in my shed, its going to break... either its self or you!
and then youve got to think about the people that know what they are doing and build good machines.

Hehe I was giving a robot as a present today too Kenny, not to my cousin but to my dad! (Didnt know what else to get him besides every piece of Dr Who merchandise under the sun!)

I was cheeky with it though and gave it to him unfinished!
Still needed wired up (link etc installed) but just finished doing that about 20 minutes ago, and has now been christened Bullseye by its owner

Need to get hold of some kitchen chopping boards, which are very nice to work with, to bulk up the side panels that are only 5mm MDF at the mo, and drill clearance holes for the aerial and LED but other than that and a battery charge its ready for the whiteboards at Thinktank.

360 still hasnt had its first spin up and theres alot of work left to do on ploughbot to get it selfwright. wahoo!
