The main thing with replicas is that 1 as dave said, needs to look very similar and onlyy minor differences. and 2, they need reflect the things that made their copies famous. A mini hypno would be no good with a rubbish disc, a mini Thz would be no good with a rubbish axe, And a mini chaos 2 would be no good without an awesome flipper. Thats only if your going for the full on replica may i add!! Otherwise i think its pointless, you would get more praise using that design for you own individual robot.

i think litte johns right... tom go and persuade your dad to make a mini kan opener.... it would be one of the most feared feather weights for sure !!! Nastier than the spinners id think !!

Mind you, i could see it costing more than the big one !!! youve got until may !!

He said a little one would cost to much.

The thought of making a mini replica for a replicas battle in May is appealing but a) I cant decide who to make it of and b) could I get it done in time *wonders*

Any suggestions for replicas (preferably simpler ones) welcome

whilst making a replica would be a nice side project I dont have the time to do it properly so there wont be a mini typhoon in may. Would rather get hornet 2 sorted.

Looks like it suffered more damage than i though originally. Its going to be interesting to keep it running for 3 days.

The picture on my profile shows the 4 bolts (along with a new one) that were holding my mag on.

Think I need to go to drill and tap my mag to take M6s instead of M4s!

I thought about Roadblock as it would probably be remembered quite well but Id have to include a srimech to make it worth competing (dont wanna be beaten too easily by getting flipped) and Id be inclined to make the saw at the back into a heavy disc powered off a car fan motor or similar, so Id feel that would be changing Roadblock too much from the orginal design.

Something like Thermidor has always appealed to me, and Ive dreamed of making a featherweight Growler but thats still limited to being in my dreams for the time being
