  • Wiring a gyro

I`m trying to get a gyro set up but as usual I`m going round in circles (ouch!)
I can`t find any info on setting it up for a robot/car, nothing on youtube.

I have done what I think should make sense but the robot just keeps pulsing in a circle.

I have it plugged into the RX steering channel (3) then into the tail mixer, I'm using channel 2 for the throttle.
From the tail mixer I`m going to two escs, one to run the drive on each side.
    The gyro is a HK401B http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=26075

Is there a way to set it up for use in a robot? We used one in 13Black but that was soooo long ago

The gyro has a RX connector with just a signal wire in it which I believe is plugged into a switchable channel to turn it on and off, I have plugged that in to some of the channels but it doesn`t seem to do anything.

I will bring it to the Iron Games tomorrow anyway if anyone can help there.

This might not be much help but RazerDave is a wizz with gyro's. He uses them a lot in Satanix and has nearly perfected the setup over the years.

Head Lock gyros don't work on robots. Only really any good for helicopters I think.
