Aneurysm to KO itself on the arena wall or randomly drive down the pit...

    • The Crash & Burn Tournament

Despite being faster Anuerysmss disc is also lighter and has a far higher RPM (11500 - surely illegal and dubious in terms of physics?) but anyway to get that high will take longer than it will take me to get to my max. I intend to attack his weapon - and mine is the heftier and thus likely to come out better out of any such clash. Obviously keep my wheels away, although the outer hubs should protect them from glancing blows.

Previous Die-Ceratops incarnations have faced Razer equse robots before, with success, and Orka is very similar to said previous incarnations. Aim straight on with the scoop as low as possible, then flip once I get underneath. If I shuffle my position at the last moment, this may not be impossible (its worked for me before). Ideally, CDMs...problem...with Sir Killalot should hopefully still be plaguing him...I wish.

        • The Crash & Burn Tournament

Well here we are, weve reached the final four! But only one can win this tournament! Lets forget the talking and get right into the first fight!

          Salamander III VS. Aneurysm

          Roboteers, stand by!

Theres Sgt. Bash in one of the CPZs! And joining him is the not-so-loveable Tira-san.

          3!
          2!
          1!
          ACTIVATE!!!!!

Here we go! Its Aneurysm, straight in on the attack, and already HITTING THE BLADE OF SALAMANDER!!!
          CRASH!!!!!!!
And that was not a very wise decision, for now Aneurysm has his own blade stop completely, and Salamander is spun away, but getting his own disc spinning up there! Aneurysm turns tail and advances towards Sgt. Bash in the CPZ, and Tira is immediately out to cut him off and cut him open! Salamander comes in at Aneurysm from behind, and Aneurysm is boxed in slightly, meaning he can only try and go to the left! But thats not possible because now Sgt. Bash has shunted him into Salamanders disc!
          CRASH!!!!!
Oh dear oh dear, the back panel of Aneurysm scarred up and torn, the innards not really exposed yet, though, and so he seems to be okay for the moment. Now hes away, and Tira returns to her CPZ in anger. Sgt. Bash is not really moving right now, and not really doing much of anything right now, and indeed RIGHT NOW he seems to be immobilized! Whats happened? Well well find out later in the pits maybe, and lets get back to the fight. Aneurysm coming in on the attack, having a hit on the axle hub but not doing any damage to it. Salamander seems to be in control of this fight, and is showing it, giving a glancing blow to Aneurysm with the disc and cutting out another piece of panel out of the side! Aneurysm does not appear to be stable, hes moving around all over the place - THE BLADE IS WORKING AGAIN!!! Something got...knocked out of place in the beginning of the fight and now its right where it belongs, and Aneurysm is right back where he belongs, in the fight! Salamander is not too happy about this, and is even less so when Aneurysm is coming towards him! Seeming to sigh, Salamander approaches him head-on again.
          CRASH!!!!!!!
WHAT A BLOW THAT WAS! The message there was Ill be seeing you later! to Aneurysm, who is now crumpled! Lets have a look at this; straight in, huge collision, and the weapon is Aneurysm is again immobile! Yet it seems that Salamanders has taken absolutely no damage at all! This is most surprising, but Aneurysm can no longer sit here in shock; if he wants to beat Salamander, hed better act aggressively. He box-rushes Salamanders disc.
          CRASH!!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS SOMETHING CAME FLYING OFF THE BLADE...OF ANEURYSM! Yes indeed, a piece of the weapon has been busted off and smashed across the floor, resting several feet away! Yet Aneurysm himself had not moved, but is doing so now, already shoving Salamander, stopping the disc and ramming the axlebot right into the arena wall! Sgt. Bash is nearby, and is not completely immobile, able to give a lick of flame and open the claw, but his wheels arent moving! Salamander away, look at that disc, so tough and durable, it must have been used in previous wars as a bombshell! Aneurysm slamming into Salamaners axle, missing the disc, throwing Salamander for a loop. Salamander spinning around, delivers another blow to the back of Aneurysm, and a huge gash, has been made across the back of the Nirvanabot, though still it seems to be okay for the most part. Aneurysm again coming in, stopping the disc again and again ramming Salamander straight into Tiras CPZ. Tira gives Salamander a cutting blow and takes off that hub on the side of the axle! Well bless me, it looks like a fireworks display in the CPZ because many colour sparks have been emitted in that collision! Salamander, trapped in the CPZ. Aneurysm shoving him right into the corner there, and The Watcher coming in, and shoves them both away. Salamander is away again, and blade spinning up to speed!

          10...9...8...7...

Heres Salamander with a great hit to Aneurysms side, and look at the damage! A whole chunk of the armour has been ripped right out!

          ...6...5...4...

Aneurysm rams Salamander right away and takes him right into Sgt. Bash, almost knocking the sergeant over!

          ...3...2...1...

Tira flies over but not quick enough. Salamander whacks Aneurysm with his stopped disc.

          CEASE!

What a fight! Lets take a look at this while the judges make their decision!

          Salamander III - Aneurysm

          Aggression - (3-2)
          Damage - (4-1)
          Style - (4-1)
          Control - (4-1)
          Strategy - (4-1)

          Total = 19 - 6

The road was long, but only one can take the road to the end. Despite his successes, Aneurysm was not that one.
SALAMANDER III ADVANCES TO THE GRAND FINAL!!!

          ------------

Orka MK4 VS. Clawdius Decimus Murderous

          Roboteers, stand by!

Its Shunt indeed! And Obelix Bulguous indeed! Indeedily do dah dey, ah, never mind, right to it!

          3!
          2!
          1!
          ACTIVATE!!!!!

Orka flying out almost before activate was called, and right up into the claw of Clawdius! But Clawdius finds that his quarry is too fast, and Orka is out of his grasp before the claw can descend into the gut! Furiously Clawdius pursues his opponent but Orka spins around and goes head-on again with Clawdius! Clawdius avoids it and Orka goes flying by. Clawdius aims for the sides, but no; Orka reverses by almost as fast! Clawdius makes an effort to try and outmaneouver Orka but the speed of the Behemoth-like bot is defeating him alone! Clawdius tries to different tack and reverses away towards the pit release. Orka flies head-on at Clawdius again and gets underneath the wedge! Chris hurriedly hits the flip button, and Clawdius is inverted! The pit is not open, though, and so Orka cannot carry out his plan to grapple and pit Clawdius. To make matters worse, Clawdius has righted himself from his inverted position! Orka tries another frontal assault but just ends up going onto Clawdius wedge again. Clawdius tries the sink the claw down but Orka evades the trap again! Clawdius rams Orka with the claw down and buries him into the wall! Orka backs away from the wall, and goes at Clawdius sides but misses! Whoa, look out! You almost went into Shunts CPZ there Orka! Clawdius opens the claw again and advances on Orka. Orka rams Clawdius head-on again and this time Clawdius sinks the claw down before Orka even gets into the hold! Its worked! Orka is grappled! And the claw is sinking deeper and deeper into the hide of Orka, piercing through the top armour and making a ghastly rent! Now that Orka is his, the victory is his, or is it? Clawdius backs towards the pit release button, but wait a minute! The claw opens, and Orka escapes! The claw sinks down again, and Steve is working the controls to see if the weapon is working. Indeed it does seem to be, but Orka rams him again from the front and both scoop and wedge collide, neither getting under the other! Clawdius pushes Orka back, and straight into the wall! But this forces Clawdius wedge onto the scoop, and with a quick lift, Clawdius finds the world upside-down-y again! Orka hastily tries to use his own claw but Clawdius pops himself off of the ground back onto his wheels! Another quick escape by the lord! This is highly frustrating for Orka! And now Clawdius is preparing for a full-on assault! Orka greets his opponent with another collision, and Clawdius again gets under Orka, but instead of clamping him, he takes him right into the pit release button! WHAM right into the trigger, and the claw and pit sink at the same time! Orka is grappled! Steve beams at the crowd, and Clawdius does the only thing he can do at this point - he flings Orka into the pit!

          CEASE!

Orka proved to be a match for several robots, yet this time he proved otherwise at the test. He had not the mettle of his opponent.

Yknow, its only really hitting me now that Ive actually made it to the Final. Youve done great in this un, Chris, and at least youve got Aneurysm to vent on.

            PLAY-OFF
            Aneurysm VS Orka Mk 4
Orkas superior traction ought to give it the edge here. One grapple n Pit, please!

            GRAND FINAL‰
CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS VS Salamander III
Alexs underachieving axlebot has been doing so well here, its almost a shame to try and stop its winning streak. Almost.
Salamander is indeed a slippery customer, so the plan here will be to scoop under it from the back and use the claw there. From that position, Ill be able to get the most controlled hold on it, avoid the disc and I might even lift the wheels off the ground too. Dunk in the Pit before anything unpleasant happens.

Good luck to all, bravo to Kody and Go easy on me! to Alex.

Get under, flip, grab and either pit or OOTA it. Mind you Steve, I dont think taking my aggresion out on Aneurysm alone is going to do any favours. If I beat him (and this is ONLY if I beat him), Ill have to take on a house robot. Thatll cool me off.

Tough one, but I think Orka will prevail.

Clawdius Decimus Murderous VS Salamander III

As big a fan of Alexs machines as I am, I think Clawdius Decimus Murderous can grab him and get him down the pit.

                  3rd-Place Playoff

                  Aneruysm VS Orka MK4

Fighting for the right to claim 3rd seed in the Crash & Burn Tournament are these two gallant fighters, coming back from their previous losses to have a go at each other. Lets get down to the arna to find out the victor!

                  Roboteers, stand by!

Ah, its Dead Metal filling in for Growler who had a breakdown in the pits earlier, and Double Whamlet joins him for the house robots.

                  3!
                  2!
                  1!

Orka out immediately, crashing into Aneurysm - whoa-ho! Aneurysm wobbling around a little bit, and Orka in on the attack, and grappling him - no, Aneurysm evades the arm and backs away, trying to stay away from that scoop...on the front of Orka. Orka in again, chasing down his adversary - AHHHH!!! Aneurysm has just collided with the arena wall disc-first, and the blade just flew right off! Oh how sad! And now its slim pickins for Orkas scoop and axe, and Aneurysm...does not seem to be moving that much, crawling around, and Orka collides with his back, and in comes the scoop, and the axe, and the lift, and I think we know how this fight is going to end...oh yes the crowds chanting Pit! Pit! Pit! as well, they know how its going to end! Orka rams his captured foe into the pit release button, opening the, ahem, pit pit pit, and shove shove shove, in goes Aneurysm - Orka has claimed 3rd seed in the Crash & Burn Tournament and now hes heading over to Double Whamlets CPZ and tossing the housie over! Dead Metal is out of his CPZ and out at Orka, but Orka has grappled Whamlet and is shoving him into Dead Metals own claws! Dead Metal backs away...and mistakeningly into the pit, right on top of Aneurysm! And Orka piles Whamlet on top of him and thats that for this short playoff.

                  CEASE!!!

Aneurysm...caused insanity in the membrane, caused destruction in the arena, but this time in the arena, he caused his own self-destruction, and therefore has lost this match, going to his place as the 4th seed.
ORKA MK4 BECOMES THE 3RD SEED OF THE CRASH & BURN TOURNAMENT!!!

                  • The Crash & Burn Tournament

And so my tournament draws to a close...but its not the end. In a week Ill start the ATTTWI, and mid-way through that sign-ups for the C&BT2 will begin, if people are willing to sign up. And some time after that I shall start the 3rd session of my house bot tournament. I know, I spoil you all, dont I?

So dont think Ive left after this! This is only the beginning! Me and Team Gore will carry on, even unto the ending of the FanFic section, which will hopefully not come too soon.

Ah, now thats out of the way, its time.

This is the final battle of the tournament, and only one of these brave robowarriors will claim the crown.

+1>The Crash & Burn Tournament Final Battle

Clawdius Decimus Murderous had a smashing time here. He barreled through his opponents like a king on acid. Gigabyte, Axe-O-Lotl, ArchAngel, Die-Ceratops, and Orka all fell to his sharp and icy claw. But hes not done. He will never be satisfied until he claims his rightful crown, as he thinks it is. But will it be his, or will Clawdius go the way of the traitorous Roman conspirators?

Salamander III was just plain awesome. Underachieving in almost every tournament he entered, hes stunned the audience by reducing Disc-O-Inferno, IDSFA, Killotine, Aquarius, and Aneurysm to metal fillings. And thats not enough for our reptile fiend. Once more he will enter the arena and fight his way to victory...or to death, if he makes one false move. Is this Salamander hardy enough, or will it be fodder for Clawdius claw?

                    Roboteers, stand by!

Oh goodness me, four house robots during this match! Mr. Psycho, Sir Killalot, Taki-san, and Double Big Mac all coming in to watch this, the last fight of all, and possibly take part...well see! Lets go!

                    3!
                    2!
                    1!
                    ACTIVATE!!!!!!!

Final battle commenceth! Out comes Clawdius, deadly and guileful, looking to sink that claw into the innards of Salamander, but Salamander evades this chance by stacking himself up against the arena wall. Clawdius is no fool to dive into such a trap, and decides to open the pit. Salamanders rage is triggered and he bolts out to get Clawdius attention. This he gets, but not in a good way! Clawdius indeed turns, but slides away from the charge, and aims for the axle! But no, for Salamander spins around and out of harms away as well, and goes for a disc hit on Clawdius!
                    CRASH!!!
The sides taken some damage, and Clawdius has been thrown for a loop, but thankfully lands back on his wheels! Salamander comes forward again forgetting that his blade is stopped and bumps Clawdius on the other side panel near the front. Clawdius wakes up and swivels around to possibly get that claw around the back and clamp, but Salamander eludes Clawdius attempts to grapple him. A little frustrated now, Clawdius hunts him down and tackles him with the front wedge into the arena wall. Salamander tilts upwards, and with the disc spinning again thats not too good! But the bottom of the disc scrapes Clawdius beak and slows down, and gradually is stopped. Clawdius sinks down the claw again and hes got him! Umm...oh dear. Suddenly, Sir Killalot comes out of nowhere and tackles Clawdius from the back! ...ah wait, they were fighting near a CPZ, werent they? Anyway this rough shove loosens clawdius grip on Salamander, who again escapes. Steve glares at Sir Killalot before Clawdius makes another attempt, diving straight into the spinning disc of Salamander!
                    CRASH!!!
And I must say that Clawdius chances in this final are pretty slim now thats hes lost his front wedge! Look at that; as soon as the disc connects with the wedge, the panel flies right off! Talk about power! But Clawdius seems to disregard this completely, tackling Salamander again and ramming him right into Mr. Psycho waiting in one of the CPZs! Psycho brings down the hammer and hits Salamander straight on the left wheel! Ooh, I wonder how this is going to effect him...Psycho brings down the grappling arm but Salamander is already away and YES THERE IS SOME DAMAGE! Salamanders left tire is flat! Hes hobbling around the arena...the power of that hammer does its job again. New life has been given to Clawdius as he hurtles again into Salamander, and misses him only by a fraction, glancing off of the left side and spinning Salamander around. Salamander now has its weapon spun up and buries it into Clawdius left side again!
                    CRASH!!!
An even bigger hole has been given to the panel, and if you look closely you can see one of the S28-300 Magmotors powering Clawdius! Clawdius is again resilient to the hit and rams Salamander into the wall again! Salamander struggles to get away, and suddenly Sir Killalot, again nearby, interrupts the moment with his own claw, and grabs Clawdius! Whats going on?! Clawdius breaks free, but does not pursue Killalot, knowing that hes outnumbered 4 to 1. This, however, allows Salamander to escape AGAIN. Steve gives another glare to the knight and Clawdius goes on the attack again. Salamander is not doing too well out there with that left tire, hes just wobbling around, and missing the pit release button which he meant to hit...Clawdius takes advantage and piles Salamander into the wall again. Salamander escapes AGAIN before the claw can sink down. Furious with this onslaught of quick getaways, Clawdius himself hits the pit release button, and for the final time this tournament, the gate of robot hell descends into the depths. Salamander comes in but misses Clawdius with the disc. Clawdius tackles Salamander again from the side, and drives him up the exposed wedge in his claw. But in doing so the disc travels along the side and connects with the claw!
                    CRASH!!!
The crowd gasps as a piece of the claw is sheared off and hits DBM, ricocheting off and landing in the pit. Well at least the pit claimed something. Anyway, now Clawdius is really disabled by this blow...

                    10...9...8...7...

Clawdius allows Salamander to go free, and Salamander nearly ends up driving himself down the pit!

                    6...5...4...

Clawdius comes in but its too late, and Salamander is away, wobbling towards the flame pit in a desperate attempt.

                    3...2...1...

Clawdius attacks Salamander and shoving him into the wall one final time...

                    CEASE!!!

Goodness me! What a match! This is a final for sure! Lets take a look at this big melee while we get the judges decision!

(replays - shots of Clawdius tackling Salamander into the wall, Salamander ripping off parts of Clawdius side, and tearing off the front wedge. Moves by the house robots, and finally the shearing off of part of Clawdius claw)

Ooh, tension......well...the judges have made their decision. Based on strategy, style, control, damage, and aggression...this was very tough to call despite the last hit...but theyve gone...

                    FOR SALAMANDER III!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Want to know how? Judges decision please!

Clawdius Decimus Murderous - Salamander III

                    Aggression - (4-1)
                    Damage - (1-4)
                    Style - (1-4)
                    Control - (4-1)
                    Strategy - (2-3)

                    Total = 12-13

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen!
