Yay, time to prove Alex wrong, even though Clawdius aint my bot. I think Ill elaborate on my prediction.
Okay, lets see. Clawdius has an extremely low front ground clearance, which is more than enough to slide under Flank Attacks scoop and chomp down. This means Flank Attack has to come at Clawdius from the side or rear. Flank Attack wont be able to get a good grip at those areas, only the front, and thats ONLY if he gets the scoop under, which is extremely unlikely.
Hey, if Flank Attack wins, then he wins, and Ill admit that he is the better bot. But right now it really looks like a win for Clawdius. =P
Anyway, my tactics will be to come at the front since, as Kody explained, thats the only area where I can get a good grip. However, when coming at the front I will close my claws a lot earlier to grip his sides.
You see, my claws reach far out of my front and thus allow me to get a grip on Clawdius without going up his wedge. Add to that the fact that Clawdius cant grip me unless Im on his wedge, and you have a winning combination.
Also, if I do go up his wedge, its kinda easy for me to get off, considering my speed and two wheel design with his slow puncturing weapon. =)
I dont get what that quote means, but okay. Thanks for quoting it since I also forgot what it says four posts up.
Honestly, when I said Clawdius FTL it was just because I was hoping my bot would win and I tried to make it humourous by mimicing the post above me. Apparently robots is too srs bsns to get away with something like that :P
FINALS
FIFTH PLACE PLAY-OFF CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS VS Flank Attack
Stay away from them nasty pinchers and head around to the back of Flank Attack. By scooping it up from the rear, I should not only be able to get the best grip on it, but also maybe lift both wheels off the ground in the process. Regardless, get under the back, grapple for dear life and try to outpush the squirmy clamper into the nearest hole in the ground.
