Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament - Series 7!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the seventh series of Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament! This tournys just as big as the last one, with 128 robots, all of them eager to get their hands on the VFT7 trophy! Will our reigning champ Wedge Devolution defend the crown, or will one of the other 127 take it away? Lets begin our journey to find out, with Heat A!

*Our first seed, Wedge Devolution, is the current VFT champion - after competing in every VFT with very variable success, it finally took the title by beating Blizzard, Happy Birthday Party Pooper, Wedga Revo, Glasgow Kiss, Tempest Evil-er-ution, Psyclone, Hypertension Mk2 and Storm 2! Its the same design as last time - a wedge with a big rear hinged flipper, a plate at the end to help get under skirts, its own set of skirts to keep flippers away, and Hardox armour!
*Eighteenth seed Windiest Killer Just Got Windier was in the top 8 of VFT5, but only got to the heat final of VFT6, where it performed well against Orka Mk3 but was eventually flipped on its back, leaving it unable to ram efficiently with an inverted wedge, and sent down the pit! Its an invertable box with a range of interchangable weapons: wedges, scoops, spikes, a drill, a spinning bar and a lifter!
*Atomic is a newcomer to VFT, and having been a semifinalist in RW7, theres a good chance itll put on a good showing here, with its powerful flipper, and yellow paint to disorientate opponents!
*Flippa competed in the RW7 World Championship qualifiers and Annihilator, but never got going in either of them! Can this low box with a lifting arm prove itself here today?
*Gigabyte 1.5 hasnt been in VFT before, but an ancestor, Byte, went out in Round 1 of VFT3! Can this new design do better - a TAN-style pair of pliers with four wheels!
*Helliant, another newbie, is a wedge with a front hinged flipper/srimech, and a set of killsaws at the back to give anyone who runs into them a taste of Hell!
*Starstorm 2 made it to Round 2 of VFT6, where it was shoved down the pit by Windiest Killer Just Got Windier! It brings its unique flipper back to VFT - a dome, with a lid that shoots up and flips anything on top of it, and moveable skirting!
*And Suicidal Tendencies, making its first appearance in VFT, is a tracked robot with a scoop and crushing claw - its made it to two heat finals in RW, but how well will it perform in this tournament?

Lets get this show on the road! Our first melee features Wedge Devolution, Atomic, Flippa and Helliant, and the House Robots will also make their debut, represented by King Cobra and The Martian!

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
As VFT7s first melee began, Wedge Devolution charged at Flippa, who began running to meet the advancing Atomic, while Helliant also went for Atomic! A moment later, Atomic and Flippa rammed head on just as Wedge Devo came under Flippas side and carried it away - Atomic fired its flipper too late as Helliant came in at the side, rammed it into the wall and propped it up with its arm! Helliant backed off to use its killsaws, just as Wedge Devo appeared close by, still carrying Flippa, and hit the pit release! As Helliant reversed, its saws spinning, Atomic fired its flipper to get off the wall and reversed away from Helliant, taking a glancing blow from the saws - it was in the perfect position to ram into Helliants side and show it how it feels to be propped against the wall! Meanwhile, as Wedge Devo turned away from the release, Flippa slid off the wedge and began running away, aiming to reach the struggle between Atomic and Helliant! But the reigning champ was too quick, sliding under Flippa from behind, dodging the other two and sending Flippa straight down the open pit - Flippa was the first one gone!
At this point, Helliant was against the wall, and used its arm to get off, but just got caught by Atomic again! However, at that moment Wedge Devolution reappeared and was under Atomics side before it could escape, and carrying it towards the arena disc, Helliant chasing after them! Atomic hit the disc with a crash and flew off the wedge of the 1st seed, its armour sporting an ugly slash! Atomic turned as it saw Helliant advancing, killsaws blazing - the saws hit the front of the flipper, scratching it, but Atomic also fired its flipper and tipped Helliant over! Wedge Devo came in to rejoin the fun - Atomic dodged in a panic, and rammed into the inverted Helliant, which unfortunately selfrighted away from it, right into the path of Wedge Devolution! Not one to pass up an advantage, Wedge Devo now gave Helliant a taste of the disc, slicing its front armour! Atomic then disrespectfully came in behind the 1st seed, ramming it into the disc as well! Wedge Devo was spun around, but Atomic only had a chance to ram it a bit before Helliant attacked, and the disc saw some action again when it ripped into Atomic! Hit by the skimming Atomic, Wedge Devolution got out of the way for a moment, as Helliant shoved Atomic against the wall again, propping it up! Atomic fired its flipper, but bounced straight into Helliants saws and got its underbelly tickled! Wedge Devo chose this moment to attack again, taking Atomic into the disc again, but getting hit by Helliants saws in the process! Bouncing back off the disc, Atomic was finally back on terra firma, and ran head on into Helliant! They pushed against each other for a moment until Wedge Devolution intervened, sliding under Atomics side and heading for the pit release!
Helliant ran alongside, and took a shot at Wedge Devolution with its saws, not doing too much to the Hardox! Wedge was knocked a little, but kept a grip on Atomic, and hit the release with it! Before it could turn, however, Helliant attacked again, sawing both Wedge Devolution and Atomic, and knocking Atomic off the wedge! Atomic angrily attacked Wedge Devolution, managing to reach its side but finding the skirts inpenetrable! As Wedge Devo struggled, Helliant ran around it - Atomic saw it coming, turned, brought the flipper into the saws and fired it while taking some damage! Helliant was on its back, and selfrighted as Atomic came underneath it! Wedge Devolution turned and came at Atomic as it went for the pit with Helliant - it slid its flipper under Atomics rear, and got in its first flip of the tourny, overturning both its opponents! As Atomic selfrighted, Wedge Devo was quickly under it again, and taking it to the pit - but the pit closed! However, Helliant kindly went to the release, reopening the pit, and allowing Wedge Devolution to drop Atomic on top of Flippa!
CEASE!

WEDGE DEVOLUTION AND HELLIANT GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!

3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Windiest Killer Just Got Windier went straight for Suicidal Tendencies, who turned towards Gigabyte 1.5, as did Starstorm 2! The first clash came when Gigabyte 1.5 swivelled around Suicidal Tendencies, and gripped it side on, biting into its armour! WKJGW was next on the scene, sliding straight under both bots! It started trying to help Gigabyte 1.5 carry ST, as Starstorm 2 appeared - it managed to slide under Gigabyte 1.5s wheel and fire its lid! Gigabyte 1.5 and ST were both tipped into the air, slowly but surely falling inverted! WKJGW responded in grudge-match style by ramming into Starstorm 2 and pinning it against the wall, trying to get past the lowered skirts! Meanwhile, Gigabyte 1.5 struggled with the inverted Suicidal Tendencies, slowly making its way towards the pit release! When they finally hit it, WKJGW abandoned Starstorm 2 and reversed at full speed towards the two! With WKJGW shoving Suicidal Tendencies as well, the tracked realie was easily escorted into the pit! Releasing Suicidal Tendencies and letting it drop in, Gigabyte 1.5 turned to the advancing Starstorm 2! It ran at the dome and gripped it, only to be rocketed off the ground while still holding onto the lid! WKJGW joined the action, ramming Starstorm 2 again, into the north wall! As Gigabyte 1.5 hit the ground, it immediately began trying to drag Starstorm 2 backwards to the pit, but the pit closed, and it was suddenly flung up by the lid again, still maintaining its grip! When its wheels touched the floor again, it continued its dragging, while WKJGW went for the pit release again! As Gigabyte 1.5 and Starstorm 2 came to the opened pit, Starstorm 2 fired its flipper again - Gigabyte 1.5 wobbled a little as it was taken skyward, but still managed to hold on, coming down on the edge of the pit! It swung on the spot, sending Starstorm 2 over the abyss, and released to drop it in!

What happened to I will stop arguing tim? Dont complain you got knocked out: Realies are a little weak compared to most, and Wedge Devolution and Heliant are very good robots. And just losing twice when youve only been in two fights isnt anything to complain about.
