Come on here. This is a bit uncalled for. This tourny hasnt been updated in about 13 days. People have a right to ask why this tourny hasnt been going anywhere.
Well, you wont have too much longer to wait. The battle has been sussed, the introductions have been written, I just need to put the fight into words, and itll be up. Im determined not to let this one slip.
OK everyone, settle down. I hope you bought along the tastiest popcorn, because, right here, right now, its time for...
ROBOT WARS EXTREME
And to start, here are some of the best robots in the country, fighting it out in the best battles this side of the galaxy. Its our All Stars Tournament.
Lets welcome our first four bots.
FROM BRIGHTON IN EAST SUSSEX; BIGGER BROTHER
A Robot Wars veteran, first and foremost. The Watts family, its creators, call it A Nightmare In Metal, and its previous winning streak has rightly justified that name. This robot is fast, with armour that most discs bounce off, and an extremely powerful spiked flipper, capabale of, quite literally, doing anyone in. And indeed, this robot has beaten tough robots like Chaos 2, Tornado and Hypno-Disc in its history. However, it is somewhat vulnerable to axes which can pierce its armour. This was a grand finalist and runner up in the fifth series of Robot Wars.
FROM DUBLIN IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND; DIOTOIR
It may look cute and cuddly, but this Irish furball is certainly not fur brained. It is low to the ground with a zerp ground clearance, veru manuverable with a zero turning circle, the spring loaded crushing and flipping shovel is fairly powerful, it has experience, and it has beaten the mighty Tornado in the past. However, the petrol engine and the fur covering make this robot badly flammable!
FROM APPLESTON IN SURREY; KAT 3
This cat has plenty to roar about. A Robot Wars veteran, the team previously competed with a robot called Kater Killer. This bot has been much more successful. Its wedge shape is designed to plow into just about any robot around, and it has an extremely lethal looking axe, which has previously done some very nasty damage. However, the aluminium and polycarbonate armour could be thicker...
FROM LINCON; STINGER
A grand finalist in the fourth series of Robot Wars, Stinger remains one of the most original robots around. This robot is essentially two giant wheels with a very large, VERY dangerous arm, tipped witha nasty bludgeioning spike. It can act as a mace, a spike, an axe, whatever it wants to be, all swinging down at maximum damage. All the electronics, motors ext are mounted in the giant wheels. Nevertheless, said wheels are very vulnerable.
ROBOTEERS, STAND BY.
Booth 1: Bigger Brother, Diotoir.
Booth 2: Kat 3, Stinger.
House Robots: Sir Killalot, Dead Metal.
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And the first of our All Star battles is off and underway. Stinger, the fastest here, makes a bee-line straight for Kat 3, aiming to hit it with that giant tail-mace-hammer thing...of course, we ALL know what Stingers aim is like. In other words, it totally misses the Kat. Thats no good. Meanwhile, Bigger Brother decides to flip Diotoir. It doesnt quite work, the Irish furball only goes up so far, then crashes back down. If you ask me, Id say these two are the most durable in this melee. The three of them swerve, with Stinger out of the picture for the moment. Kat 3 now swings the axe, and hits Bigger Brother. This is interesting. Ive mentioned before that Bigger Brother is vulnerable to axes, like the one on top of Kat 3, and the weapon has indeed gone through the armour. Kat 3 pulls the axe back, but is flipped by Diotoir. We all adore Diotoir, its been said so many times now. Kat 3 though manages to self-right. The axe works as a Srimech (a Self Righting Mechanism). Meanwhile, Bigger Brother charges, and indeed flips, Stinger, who now whacks something that isnt the floor. The mace whacks Bigger Brother a few more times. This is getting really exciting so far. A lot of experience being shown.

Ah, Bigger Brother has just hit the pit release button. Maybe its trying to get one or more of its oppodents into the pit. Well, Stinger is closest, and its getting close...Bigger Brother comes in with a little nudge...and Stinger goes into the pit. Bye bye Stinger. Youre no All Star. Now, Bigger Brother goes back to check on Kat 3 and Diotoir, who are having a good old tussle. Bigger Brother lunges underneath...Diotoir, and fires the flipper! Diotoir lands on its back. Now, can Diotoir do anything? It fires the flipper...HA HA! BOTH ITS EYES HAVE FALLEN OFF! Thats about it. Oh, poor Diotoir. It looked so promising earlier on. But its on its back, and it cant do anything. Bigger Brother now attacks Kat 3, whilst Refbot decides that Diotoir has been overturned for too long...

And Diotoir has been red carded. Now maybe the House Robots can have some fun. Or maybe not, as Bigger Brother quickly darts in, and pushes Diotoir...right into the pit. How kind.

The further the robot the person betted would win the heat goes, the more points they get. If Bigger Brother was to win the next round, then Martijn etc would get another point. If Bigger Brother actually wins the heat, they get the whole 3 points.
Whilst Id like you guys to know that the second fight is under-way, please understand that the fights may be few and far between due to College work. Ill probably have some more regularly once I get to the Christmas holidays though.
FROM HEMEL HEMPSTEAD IN HERTFORDSHIRE; BEHEMOTH
A huge truck like robot and a real veteran of the wars, this robot is not to be under-rated by any means. Well, how many robots do you know that can take on Hypno-disc and receive minimal damage? Behemoth is a six-wheel drive machine powering to speeds of 12mph, with its main weapon being a titanium bucket scoop, coupled with a nasty axe to grapple and damage. Its strong, and almost unbeatable...at least it would be if it didnt have so many reliability problems.
FROM HAMPSHIRE; KING B POWERWORKS
A semi-finalist in Series 2, Kking B Powerworks still thunders along to glory...well, maybe it stumbles more than thunders. A low slung invertable robot based somewhat on a grand finalist from Series 1, the King delivers his command with two lifting spikes at the front and an 8000rpm spinning blade at the back. Axes and spinners are best avoided for this fragile king, as its wheels are vulnerable, and the king may be over-throne and re-tyred early.
FROM WORCHESTER; PUSSYCAT
...But I must warn you, hes anything but cuddly! This interesting pyramid shaped robot is one of the oldest robots around, and still fairly successful. Its weapon is a double edged eight toothed blade capable of some very nasty damage. And if that wasnt enough, the position of its wheels allow it to run any way up, hence its name. All in all, a very strong contender, but its wheels are exposed and the ground clearance is too high.
FROM DUNSTHORPE IN LEICESTER; S3
Veterans of the wars with previous machine Sting (S3=Sting 3, if you think about it), this new robot has had plenty more luck, and a LOT more bite! Shaped a bit like a hammerhead shark, S3s major weapon is a very large vertical flywheel, weighing in at about 17 kilos or so, and spinning at speeds of around 1000rpm. Destructivity is HIGH, as Plunderbird and Mousetrap have all too easily found out. However, it has a wide turning circle, and I think the aluminium armour could be thicker.

3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And the second group of four is off and underway. This group has even more experience than the previous group. Go back to Series 2, and youd see all four of these robots in lesser forms. Anyways, the first clash is Behemoth on King B Powerworks. The king is lifted. And flipped. That wont worry it though. It can run both ways up. Pussycat gets a nibble in on Behemoth with the saw blade. S3 is heading towards Pussycat...AND IT HITS THE SIDE! A NASTY GASH FORMS! S3 is evil! It can literally tear another robot to shreds. It is, first and foremost, not a robot you want to get angry. Behemoth comes in though, and gets underneath S3 from behind the wheel. He flips, and S3 lands on its side. S3 is now rolling around, trying to get back off. This could cause a few problems. Meanwhile Pussycat is having a clash with King B Powerworks. The cat trying to use the blade, but King B pushing back. Its similar in many ways, King B Powerworks, to a former Grand Finalist way back in series 1 called T.R.A.C.I.E, with the low slung body and the ability to run both ways up. Im not sure how many of you remember. Meanwhile, S3 still hasnt recovered. Behemoth will now do the charge...it is, moving the hammerhead shark to the arena wall...AND FLIP! S3 flys out of the arena...OH, BUT WHACKS BEHEMOTH WITH ITS DISC ON THE WAY OVER! Talk about a wounded animal fighting back. And that blow stunned Behemoth. Meanwhile, Pussycat has now worked its way around the side of King B Powerworks. The spikes dont appear to be working. Is the saw spinning? I dont think so. What a truly spectacular performance by Pussycat. What could it take to stop them. What damage has King B Powerworks taken in all of this...AND WHAT DID THAT BLOW BY S3 DO TO BEHEMOTH? Behemoth has not moved at all since it flipped S3 out of the arena! Somethings not right! The other two robots are now nudging Behemoth a bit! Make that a lot! I THINK BEHEMOTH HAS BEEN IMMOBILIZED! THERE IS NO MOVEMENT IN BEHEMOTH...AND THE REFBOT AGREES! Hes counting Behemoth out! Well, that was disapointing. Behemoth looked so impressive just a few moments ago, taking out S3 single handed. But now, it has been given the Red Card and is OUT of the All Stars. Growler comes in and grabs Behemoth, before dragging it onto the Flame Pit. Ahh...lovely. Burned moth.

Hmmm, Pussycats blade doesnt do much damage these days so my tip to win is Bigger Brother.

King B is the ideal sort of target for an axe. Kat 3 will win easily.

I am so sorry for the lack of updates, but Im extremely busy with college work. I still try to write these things though.

And away we go with round 2 of the All Stars. Bigger Brother charges forward, but Pussycat veers away, almost toppling onto its side. Being able to run any way up will help it greatly at this stage against a weapon like Bigger Brother...as Bigger Brother flips Pussycat. And Again! Pussycat is bouncing around wildly as Bigger Brother continues to mount the pressure on it. Both robots of course were former grand finalists and runners-up in previous Robot Wars series. Pussycats blade clashs with Bigger Brothers armour...stang! Or something like that anyway. Certainly Pussycat is trying to come back. But, to be fair, its blade just isnt working against the hard as rock armour of Bigger Brother. And I cant help but think, therefore, that Pussycats double-edged blade may be the weaker weapon of the two. But still, the two keep coming forward. Bigger Brother tries to flip, but Pussycat gets away before it can do so. Theres a lot of control being shown here, neither robot is willing to give up at the moment. But now Pussycat is heading downwind of the arena, is he going for...yes he is! Hes going for the pit release button. And the pit opens up. Now the two will have to be careful of that now. The two robots clash again. And again. Pussycat hits Bigger Brothers flipper, the brother flips the cat, he spins around, the the process repeats, to give a little more description. Bigger Brother tries for another flip, but misses! Now Pussycat lunges in whilst the flipper is up, maybe trying to damage it. But it isnt working, and now Bigger Brother can take advantage... the flipper shuts on Pussycat...Bigger Brother drives...towards the pit...AND THEY BOTH GO DOWN! Both robots are in the pit. But I think youll find that Pussycat went in first.

And yes, the judges agree! Theyve said that Pussycat hit the pit floor first, and Bigger Brother was clearly the more aggresive anyway.
Pussycat has been eliminated...and skinned!

Chris, as much as I enjoy reading these fights, they are taking a while, and would it be easier on you to just do them hypothetically? If enough people agree with me on this, then you could go ahead if you wanted to, but if you dont and other people dont, then forget it, I can wait if I have to.
