The Fowler Fic War 3.1
Just for the info, Cyclone Force will be using the lifter set-up.
Just for the info, Cyclone Force will be using the lifter set-up.
Armed with a selection of weapons, tailored to provide an option for any robot he should come across, Cyclone Force 2.5 could really blow the opposition away
With the lifter setup (That he€™ll be using today) he€™s got 190 kilos worth of lift, to get anyone who wants to try and take a piece of him, off his front€¦ literally€¦
The 7mm titanium armour is sound, and the motors are similar to Storm 2 and should provide a fair bit of oomph. However, control is a bit tricky with this one, and some of the setups don€™t work when he€™s turned upside down. Will Cyclone Force 2.5 be a ripper of a wind, or more a damp fart?
Add to that decent pushing power and hardox armour and you€™ve got a decent machine. But a lack of testing and so-so turning could leave the Spin, needing a Dash to the mechanics
A box shape with a curvy front and a rounded rear end (Sounds like every guys dream
), Natural Selection€™s main weapon is a hydraulically powered lifting arm with claws running off a linear actuator adding to give it a bit more bite€¦ literally
The 15mph top speed provides a controllable level of agility, but the 4mm ti could prove flimsy to the stronger robots among us, and 2 Bosch motors for power in this day and edge could well leave it outfoxed in the shoving department. In other words, the Natural Selection could soon become extinct.
Twister looks pretty damn twisted, while Natural Selection isn€™t really the pick today
All Apologies is Tony€™s latest machine and really does have nothing to be apologetic for, except for maybe when he kicks your robots shiny ass. A double Voltronic Wedge with a Battlerat style arm and a swinging axe arm on the top, All Apologies has got a potent line-up of ways to kill you. A quick 20mph top speed and 5mm Hardox all round give him a fair means of defence as well, but the speed does lead to a slight lack of control, while a certain Scottish band could leave him in trouble should they come out to play€¦ guitar
Will All Apologies need forgiveness or be sorry for a poor performance?
Or not, but Steve€™s sleek and shiny shunting machine can at least change its weapons, with nine, yes nine setups that he can change and adapt his machine to contain as he sees fit. Today he€™s gonna be using setup 1, with a crusher and lifting scoop designed to grab onto evil flippers
The motors give it 12BHp of shove, which isn€™t really that shoddy, and a very controllable 12mph is his top speed. But 4mm titanium could be marmalised by a decent weapon and the srimech isn€™t flawless should it be flicked over. Maybe the Chameleon will end up basking in the lights or maybe burying itself in the sand
The UKRW7 champion, Typhoon 2 remains unchanged from its arse-whooping incarnation and is still the same robot that beat the likes of Storm 2 and X-Terminator on its way to lifting the crown. Essentially a full-body-spinning traffic cone with hammerhead like blades, this machine is also armoured in a fairly decent titanium shell. However the spinning does mean that it€™s a damn sight harder to control than most robots and if it€™s flipped then there€™s no coming back.
Typhoon 2 and the very boring Chameleon go through.
