Despite planning on doing some PR work, Funky Junkie never made a plan on what said PR work should be, so he decided to go back to Guardian H.Q and train. Blur and Psy basically just hang out in the lounge and play computer games.

Central square

Mephistopheles again tries his busking, this time with fireworks. However, a second after the first is fired, a loud squawk is heard and a charred seagull nearly brains an onlooker. Mephistopheles makes his excuses and leaves.

Around town

Marathon lives up to his name, running around town. After a while, he gets the idea of setting up a charity run which attracts a fair few interested people and local athletes.

A random street, this time it€™s personal

Stomper€™s trudging around the streets isn€™t too effective, but as he passes Southside central bank, he hears a commotion. As the alarm blares, two people burst out. One is dressed in tattered jeans and a T-shirt, and has some weird yellow energy flickering around him. The other is dressed more athletically, and is wearing a bandolier of knives. Both are carrying large sports bags, which look stuffed full, presumably with stolen money. The one with the knives quickly draws one out, throwing it accurately between Stomper€™s feet where it sticks in a crack in the pavement.
€œDon€™t get in our way, pal,€ he warns with a smirk. The other seems to be holding back, allowing the one with the knives do the talking.

Grab that knife that just got thrown at me, and throw it back. With any luck, thats one serious wound off the bat. After that, see if I can knock the other guy senseless with my fists and drain his health when i get too hurt, and if the knife guy is still up and at em, try to catch knifes he throws at me with my hand. Risky, but im at one speed, so theres no way I can dodge. Also, the other guy is still concious and a knife gets thrown at me, try to use Mr. Yellow Arua asa human sheild.

I think Ill just stick with the firefighting idea until the meet. That should skyrocket both my proficiency and public oppinion. I can hold back the flames with my might.

Central square, part deux

Mephistopheles tries again with the firework display, but he barely gets started when a flock of angry seagulls drive him off.

Guardian H.Q

Blur and Psy are joined in there moping-ness by Funky Junkie. He moans a lot about women, then gets punched by Psy.

Random streets - judgement day

Marathon runs around trying to find someone to help. He almost runs over a young couple, but manages to brake in time. The girl still tries to punch his lights but, but he bravely runs away in the nick of time.

Marathon€™s proficiency up 1 point.

Outside Southside central bank

Stomper grabs the knife by his feet, but quick as a flash the man jumps over him and grabs him from behind. Stomper is stronger, but the second man fires an energy beam at him, knocking him out cold.

Next day, Guardian H.Q

Stomper comes around by the morning, and finds himself in his bed at Guardian H.Q. Still feeling groggy, he moves downstairs, where he finds the other five being debriefed by O€™Hara. Seeing he€™s up, she starts again from the beginning.
The two men were heard in the bank calling each other Edge and Shockwave. The one with the energy aura, presumably Shockwave, knocked all the guards out with energy beams. However they weren€™t actually hurt, leading us to believe he has no capabilities for lasting harm with his power. The other seemed to be extremely athletic and probably derived his name from all the knives he carries. There are no firm leads on the two yet. Shortly after defeating Stomper, they just vanished into thin air. O€™Hara then leaves, saying she has paperwork to do. And if you decide you need some police help, remember to ask for it this time.

Guardian H.Q

Mephistopheles tells the others he€™s heading to Aces to gather some info. The others decide to stay put and use the Internet. Upon firing up the €˜net and running searches on Edge and Shockwave, they find plenty of information on Shockwave graphics cards and various kitchen knives, but for some reason the villains themselves haven€™t put up a website giving details on how to find them.

Aces

It€™s mid-day, so Aces is fairly full as people are coming in for a lunch time meal and drink. Ace isn€™t around, but Johnny and the blue skinned barmaid are there. The middle aged couple are back, as is Jerry Hewlit who is playing cards with a heavy-set black man, and a woman who looks normal from the back, but has a third eye on her forehead. Other notable people include a man with a monkey tail, and a man who is sitting quite peacefully on the ceiling. Despite being upside down, his drink doesn€™t seem to be spilling.
