    I will use the sword and drive straight into PowerPoint, its weapon is too high to hit me before I can get the sword under and lift it up enough to push it towards the pit, standard skateboard wheels are crap because they break up so easiy when on steel. I trust Frank to deal with Mega Masher, if he hasnt, I will drive straight into the rear disc, where I should be low enough not to be flipped and repeat the pit tactic...

    ...then attack those house-robots, wanna team up Frank?

        Steve, theres a problem. Due to financial problems, the bore projects been cancelled, so it looks like Im going to have to swap it out with another realie. Is that OK, or do you want it left as is?

          Argh! This tourny is cursed, I tell thee!

          Franky, Id prefer if the Bore stayed in the tourny as it is. It just jumbles things up, otherwise and besides, its the easy option. If for some reason folk arent happy with this decision, I hate them.

          Fights up in the next few days. I hope. :S

            Oh guys, you make me laugh.

            Maybe you WILL be able to tear the outer armour. But, didnt I say its based around Minion? And didnt I also say it isnt as heavy as it looks?

            Well, Id rather keep out of the way of The Disc, even though Ive always wanted to fight it, and dont want to miss any chance OF fighting it, no matter how many times I do. Keep the wedge pointing at it constantly, and use the disc to attack the other two.

                      Dont let the name fool you - theres nothing loveable about this machine! Love Bite heres a skirted double wedge with Hardox armouring, a front Firestorm flipper and set of horrific horizontal jaws at the back. Snipping and flipping are equally painful, but 30mph on those four wheels could cause many a control problem.

                      The ultimate pyramid scheme. A minor legend in Battlebots and a former Semi-Finalist here, the triangular Slam Job returns with its 135 degree axe back nastier than ever. The four-wheel drive is very powerful and the skirts will protect it from most flippers, but after its famous duel with Nightmare, the quality of its armour is rather questionable.

                      One of the earliest uberbots returns! Box-shaped with a scooped front, awesome 6WD and the best skirts man can make, SpinVerter is back again with its horrifying pneumatic tossing arm! The mechanics promise Wheely Big Cheese-style throws and the titanium/vanadium armour will be hard even to scratch, but 20mph speeds may mean dodgy controls at times.

                      Just as hard as the name suggests! Basically just a pair of massive horizontal jaws on two thick wheels, Tough as Nails can both crush, grab and push with the greatest of ease! The speed and the hardox construction make it a particularly challenging foe, but the CO2 mechanics for the claws are pretty exposed from the rear...

                      ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

                      By far the quickest of todays batch of battlers, Love Bite shoots off first and crashes straight into the opened jaws of Tough as Nails! However, before the Dutch wonder can get a hold of it, Chris powers straight underneath and flips it right over with the front flippah! Being invertible, however, this has little effect and before Mr Cooper can twirl round and get the claws into play, his opponent has dashed away and gone to join SpinVerter and Slam Job! Right now, our No.7 seed is trying to chase down the fellow veteran - much to Scott and Aarons distress! Their machines been on the receiving end of a Roper beating before and dont want another one anytime soon! But before the Australian annihilator can advance on the American, Tough as Nails hits the scene and clamps onto good ol S.J. from the side! Digging its wheels into the arena floor, the real robot tries to drag its prisoner up to the Void Activator, but Slam Job didnt return to the PTT for this sort of humiliation! With some desperate wriggling, the yankee breaks free and slips itself under the Dutch destroyer! Immediately, Aaron fires the axe and without skipping a beat, begins shoving Tough as Nails up the warzone and straight into the Void Activator! That all-too familiar siren begins to do its thing just as the American gets an unwelcome shunt up the rear from Love Bite! Angered, the PTT2 competitor relinquishes its hold on Jeroens machine and instead shunts Chris into the nearest wall! The axe begins smacking down on the hardox shell (doing little more than scarring the paintjob, at the moment) when SpinVerter bustles over! Now all four competitors are stuck up by one corner...but not for too much longer! Charging straight in, Tom crashes straight into the Love Bite/S.J. fray and slips its scoop under the American. Before Scott can try and get away, Lord Roper activates the infamous arm and sends the PTT2 Semi-Finalist cascading nearly 10ft into the air and out of the ring!
                      Slam Job gets slam dunked! Back to the unemployment office for you.
                      Somewhat terrified now, Love Bite rockets away from its Australian rival and instead charges back into Tough as Nails metallic embrace! Just as before, the flipper easily slides under and flicks the fellow newbie over with ease, but just Chris spins around and slots the jaws inbetween one of the Dutch robots chunky outer wheels, here comes SpinVerter to mess things up! Scraping under the side skirts, Tom wastes no time in firing the arm and tossing its twin-wedged opponent some 8ft upwards! With a clatter, Love Bite lands upside-down and rather embarrassed...but just as the flipper begins to self-right the newbie, Tough as Nails dashes in and allows the double-wedges back end to land on top of it! Immediately, Aaron allows the jaws to clamp onto Chris creation and shoots down the arena straight to the Void! In panic, Mr Cooper is pressing anything he can to get free, but Jeroen finally reaches the hole and lets his Aussie pal relinquish his grip so the newcomer can slide into the abyss below...

                      Ready to erase all in its path, here comes Chalkie! A invertible Big Nipper-ish box with four inner wheels, this newbie bears a large lifting sword at the front for prodding, impaling and lifting. Its tiny frame and incredibly low height of 9cm makes it a hard target to hit, while the mix of armour make it even harder to hurt. But potential top speeds of 28mph may prove hazardous for Dave more than anyone else...

                      Its Minion on a bender! Mega Masher Mk 2 is an invertible box-wedge, whose main weaponry consists of a massive vertical 2000rpm disc on the rear. Tornado-strength traction to the four wheels and that nasty weapon equal some impressive power while skirts add to the protection, but the 3mm steel may prove to be pretty flimsy in todays vapourboteering world.

                      Call this spanner a tool and hell tighten your nuts. Wrench-shaped and running on eight little Big Nipper-style wheels, PTT5 (har-de-har-har) is equipped with a 2000rpm horizontal spinning disc with little saw-like teeth. The invertible frame is a nightmare for flippers and the 10mm titanium sheel is well ard. But pushing power is pretty average and turning could be hindered by its wide frame.

                      Essentially just a big vertical disc supported by three wheels on either side (in a pyramid formation ala Trident). 2500rpm, 36kJ produced, hardox/aluminium/titanium armouring, completely invertible, damned hard to hit...dont ya just love it? But dont forget theres the iffy 10mph top speed and poor pushing power from those wee wheels.

                      ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!

                      Off like a rocket, Chalkie ignores the other competitors temporarily and smashes head-on into the Void Activator! Once again, that ol drone fills the warzone as Dave returns back down the ring, where things are already heating up! Mega Masher and the Disc can be seen encircling one another, Franks flywheel a mere blur as it tries to get into contact with the steel skin of Chris creation! However, before Mr Sheppard can try and intervene, Powerpoint comes out of nowhere and rams the newcomers side with some impressive force! Although the disc appears to be too high to hit its rival, that doesnt stop Mattys machine from shoving it around! Indeed, Chalkie then proceeds to be smashed into the nearest wall rather violently by PTT5 at least twice before it retaliates! Swinging round violently, the front sword of Daves latest warrior slips beneath Powerpoint before it can get away and slowly begins lifting the veteran off the arena floor! However, just as the blade reaches maximum height, the giant spanner ends up sliding off and bangs back onto the ground! Angered at losing its prey, Chalkie begins an unusual dance with the two-time PTT competitor to try and catch it once more! At this point, though, we must turn our attention to the other side of the ring! Wishing to break their little stalemate, Chris goes kamikaze and sends Mega Masher charging into the Discs...erm...disc! In a shower of sparks, both bots are sent jumping backwards! A nasty rip has been put in the front of Mr Masons wedge, but at least hes slowed the dreaded flywheel in the process! Just as Frank starts revving it up again, the PTT4 competitor charges back into it and smashes the No.26 seed into the nearest wall! Chris turns his bot around to bring its own disc into the action...when Powerpoint dashes across the arena (closely followed by Chalkie) and gives the veteran a large bump to one side! As the saw-like spinner nibbles away at the 3mm steel and Daves machine tries to knock the spanner away, the Disc gets more than enough time to get the flywheel going again! Finally getting away from PTT5s gnawing (with a nice clobber from its own disc), Mega Masher sets its sights on the seed again! But where is it? Mr Mason gets his answer in the form of a massive blow to one of the side plates! And another! And another! The former VFT champion is battering away at that steel armour like a bot possessed and creating a series of ghastly rips and tears as a result! Matters arent helped when Mega Masher tries to bring the wedge back into play and the No.26 seed puts an enormous slash right down it! As Chalkie and Powerpoint resume their dance-off nearby, the Disc jerks away from a swipe by the Minion lookalike! Effortlessly, the awe-inspiring axlebot runs a ring around its rival before adding another punishing blow to the already rather mutilated sides! Desperately, Mr Mason attempts to fight back, but a few more hits are all he gets from the more battle-hardened robot! Suddenly, however, the Disc ends its assault and backs off for a moment. Mega Masher is now sitting a few metres from the Void - perfectly immobile and looking like it lost a battle with a cheese grater! Feeling merciful, Frank allows the Grim Beeper to trundle over and gets Chris suffering over with...
                      1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!!!!!!!!!!
                      However, just as the countdown ends, Chalkie and Powerpoint bound into the picture and with them so close to the Void, it seems the dance could be over very shortly! Indeed, Dave dashes towards PTT5 with an extra boost and tries to do just that, but merely ends up clipping the older machines side! Matty, however, has much more luck! As Mr Sheppards bot recovers from its blow, the giant spanner rams into the newbies side and dunks it into the pit just like that...before tumbling down itself!

                      Mega Masher 2 turns into mashed potato, while Chalkie 3D becomes Shark Boy and Lava Girl 3D!

                            PTT5 to beat SpinVerter on a narrow JD.

                            TAN to almost pit The Disc, but to break down at the last minute due to the large amount of damage caused by its foe.
