*Pushes Alex into pool of tar* Opps.....

I flipped two coins and MENTORN INC came up both times! Heads never fails. Also, last time AJ was online, he wanted MENTORN INC because we already know that it has been them from the beginning.

        STEVE SEZ:
Soz for snappiness earler. Was pretty fed up after Chemie revision then, but here be the start of the next chapter for you

        CHAPTER 5: ACTIVATE!

        DATELINE: London Docklands, England, 7:02pm

The sun was setting over the capital city. The River Thames seemed to have a red tinge about it as Bertie crept up and along to Dock No.7.

Here you go, lads, Bertie announced, Mentorn HQ. It was hardly the grandest place to call home for a multimillion pound TV company. In fact, it looked just like an old abandoned warehouse.

...you sure his navi-thingy hasnt blown a fuse or something? Kody asked the others, eyebrow raised as he stared at the enormous shack.

Positive, AJ replied, I remember when I came here the last time with that whole captured bots scandal. This is definately the place. Still rather unsure, Kody followed the others out of Bertie and made their way up to the front door.

Allow me, Alex grinned, but he had barely morphed into Archangel form when AJ let out a cry of panic.

Dont! he whispered urgently, Theyll be waiting for us!

And who is they?, Alex inquired, reverting back to his human state.

Ill show you, Andy replied and crept around to the rear of the warehouse, the others not far behind. With little effort, the Swiss Army Spoons lockpick easily unclicked the lock on the back doors and the group slowly sneaked inside.

The building wasnt quite as abandoned as they had originally thought. The entire complex looked like a giant arena, a complete large-scale replication of the UK Warzone, right down from the Flame Pit to the Drop Zone to the Pit near the bottom end. However, the empty CPZs now housed a vicious set of horizontal KillSaws each and no arena wall could be seen to throw enemies over.

Not only that, but three beefed-up machines could be seen facing the front doors, almost as if on guard - Dead Metal, Matilda and Shunt! Unfortunately, they too had undergone some major changes: D.M. was now sporting a rollcage, with the pincers extra-sharp and a flywheel replacing the saw; Matilda too now had a rollcage design and her wheels were now encased within the body armour, the pointed tusks hugging onto the ground; and every inch of Shunt was now completely armour-plated, both snowplough and scoop running along the arena floor as the razor-sharp axe glistened in the floodlights. Apparantely, they hadnt seemed to have noticed the intruders yet.

        Told you, AJ grinned triumphantly.

Nicole, Chris inquired, any chance of some stats on these guys? Quite quickly?

        [Processing...

        NAME: Dead Metal

        ]

So, Aaron whispered, aside from attempting a ceasefire, whatll we do?

At that, Matty couldnt resist a wicked grin. Whos up for a little House Robot Rebellion?

          DECISION TIME!

Well, its taken a lot of moaning and griping, but here we are in Mentorn HQ - and now, youve met the first of our upgraded House Robots . You wont be able to explore the complex further until this trio of tin-cans is out of your hair, so how do you intend to cancel the Housers permanantely?

                    STEVE SEZ:

Step aside, maam, Matty grinned as he pushed Agent Mann to one side, this is strictly a roboteers-only zone and in a whirl of sparks, our six galvanised gladiators charged across the Warzone to tackle their bulked-up foes.

Off to the nippier start as always, Love Bite made it to the House Robots first, weaving his way in and out of the trio as they attempted to attack the double-wedge. In their confusion, this allowed the perfect oppertunity for the others to strike, GeForce getting the first blow by slipping under Dead Metals side and chucking the silver scorpion onto its back! Unfortunately, the rollcage simply topples D.M. back onto his wheels, quickly exacting revenge by chasing after the Gravity lookalike. Thankfully, Love Bite intervened before the House Bot could catch up, slipping under the side and slamming him into the side wall! Thoroughly peeved at this act of impudence, Dead Metal swung himself around and managed to catch the double-wedge in its claws as it tried to get away, easily piercing the thin titanium as the disc began carving the sides as well. This didnt last long, though, as GeForce charged back in and flung the House Robot right over, forcing him to release his grip on Love Bite as he rolled back over. Still rather dazed from the 360, D.M failed to escape another ram from the Gravity lookalike, ploughing back under and shoving the silver scorpion towards the nearest wall before firing the fearsome flipper! Dead Metal was flung against the wall on his side...and there he stayed! The rollcage wasnt going to save his robotic rear now, it seemed, as Andy and Chris twirled with glee before returning to join the others

Elsewhere, Aaron was having a much easier time. Just as The Queer With The Gear was taking a few nasty slices in its side from Matildas flywheel, Knightrous Oxide careered over and smacked the House Robot with its own deadly disc! In a shower of sparks, Tildy was rolled right over and back onto her wheels, but almost immediately, Aaron was back in with another blow! And another! And another! And another! That ferocious flywheel was rolling the digitalised dinosaur around like a hoop with a stick until finally, he backed off! Scar-ridden, Matilda was barely able to travel around in a circle - but she was quickly put out of her misery when the Archangel shuffled along and smacked her one right beside the tusks!

On the other hand, Shunt and Super Gores affair was proving a lot closer. Continually circling each other, their clash proved even throughout. For every hammer blow the House Robot got in, Kody would retaliate with a good hard shove. While the other guardians were being dispatched, Shunt remained very much alive and even managed to get on top of things after slipping under Super Gores side and grappling it with the axe. Taking advantage of its superior traction, the lethal locomotive began heaving its Big Nipper-ish nemesis towards the already opened Pit. However, divine intervention appeared in the form of Love Bite, living up to Chris self-proclaimed title as the distraction. Powering under the House Robot, the double-wedge knocked Shunts grip loose and gave Super Gore plenty of time to manouevre itself underneath the industrial incapacitator. Desperately, the guardian tried to escape, but all hope was lost as Kodys claws lifted Shunts wheels off the ground and a quick burst of speed dumped the House Robot down into the Pit. Landing on top of a small red button.

Excellent job, cobbers!, Aaron cheered as the group began remorphing, we showed those pommie tin soldiers a real rebellion, eh?. It was at that moment a deep rumbling filled the Warzone and before their very eyes, the centre of the ring opened up to reveal a metallic tunnel, leading down into the ground.

Hooray, Chris commented with a roll of his eyes, more tunnelling and so, the magnificant seven descended into the steel corridor...

                    **********

Slowly, the group made their way along the neon-lit tunnel, until the corridor eventually leveled off. Just as they passed by a sign on the wall (Mentorn Secret HQ - no solicitors), two doors stood in their path. The one dead ahead read To Floor 2, the one on the right Test Subject #1. The team shuffled over to the door on the right and peered into the window...

...nothing, Matty mumbled, sounding a little disappointed.

Theyre probably holding him further up, Alex reasoned, thisd be almost too easy for a thief. Quietly agreeing, the rest of the gang followed him through the other door, which led off to the right. Facing the group now was a large empty room, a railingless metal walkway above them encircled the vacinity as they crossed over to the large ramp on the other end.

I remember when we fought Tildy in here, AJ grinned wickedly, We bashed her around a bit and then Chaos threw her off the balcany up there! Smoke and sparks were everywhere! Ahhhh, happy days... Halting his memories with a sharp flick to the head, Alex led on through the next door and along the corridor. After a short while, three doors then met their path. The one on the left read Robot Workshop, the middle read To Floor 3 and the right read Test Subject #2.

Still no sign of the robot in here, Elle sighed, peering into the right-hand cell. What now?

Simple, Alex said, onwards and upwards. According to Nicoles map, this place doesnt have any sort of complex structure. Just keeps going upwards until we reach the main office at the top.

Well, I say we go for a tune-up, Matty suggested peering in through the Workshop window, Tildy gave me a bit of a battering in that little scrap

Im with Rainbow-Head, Kody agreed, Shunt wasnt too easy-going with that hammer of his.

Got to agree here, too, Chris said, I can still feel my ribs nipping from D.M.s jaws.

The others joined them at the window. Amoungst the benches and the random bits of machinary stood a short machine. Its appearance was slightly blurred from the frosted glass, but what looked like a set of front pliers and a welding torch on its top could be seen by the team.

Cmon, Matty insisted, lets get fixed-up.

Sorry, but I doubt weve got the time, Aaron objected, For all we know, they could be dissecting Wedge Devo right now. I say move on up.

                    Fix up.

                    Move up.

                    Fix up!

                    Move up!

[Glad to see the team spirit has yet to abandon us], Nicole muttered to herself.

Well, the first three HBs have faced your fury, but theres still a chance you could bump into the others. Feel fit enough to travel onward or do you want to take a time-out and visit the workshop first? Or, if youre very greedy, both?

I think that we do need a slight fixup.

If we have time, i would also like to go with V 2.0 weaponary, the flipping arm (so i can upend robots and self right quicker) and the pincers instead of the beak.

How about those that want to move up do so while those of us who are injured fixup and arrive in the nick of time 100%

Look, Chris interrupted, This is getting us nowhere. Lets just strike a compromise, K? Kody, Matt, Alex and I can stay here and get fixed up while you guys can go on ahead and investigate the joint some more.

Times not exactly on our side, Aaron admitted with a sigh. Fine. You tune up and well go exploring. And so, the Aussie, AJ and Agent Mann made their way down the corridor, while the others stayed at the Workshop door.

Have fun!, Matty called and the quartet stepped inside. They had just begun to make their way past the various gubbin-laiden benches when the door slammed shut behind them. Jumping, the team made their way back and tried to open it again. Locked.

Stand back! Alex warned and gave the door a series of punishing blows with the lightsabre. No effect whatsoever. BLOODY HARDOX! he exclaimed, but his fury was quickly silenced by a burst of flame which came close to roasting him. The team turned around as the middle of the lab opened up into a large n deep Pit of fire.

The robot standing before them on its four thick tyres was most definately not a service droid, but he certainly looked familiar. Reminding one of the original X-Terminator with its shape and side-arms, the green machine sported a thick crunching pincer just above its front scoop, a top-mounted flamethrower resetting its target as the chunky rear vertical flywheel hummed menacingly.

Good Bod...is that Bash? Chris gasped, quickly punching a few of Nicoles keys. Got anything on this chap, Nic?

                            [Affirmative...

                            NAME: Sergeant Bash

                            - Aim = 6
                            ]

...right..., Kody gulped as the Sergeant made his way over, ...marshmallow, anyone?

                            **********

The A Team were hardly faring much better. Aaron, AJ and the Agent met no resistance as they continued their climb of the building, but on every single floor, the holding cell therein was completely empty. It wasnt until a bored Andy counted the 10th floor that the corridor finally ended with one last door, labelled Executive Office.

Ill knock, shall I? Elle grinned and kicked the door down with one swift kick.

Sweet Steve Irwin, that was hot, Aaron whispered to himself as the group entered the large room. Quite a strange office it was, too. What looked like three large black safes were dotted around the place, while what looked like a neon industrial oven stood against the back wall. But oddest of all was the thing standing behind the desk in front of them...

                            ...REFBOT?!

Refbot looked up from his paperwork and gave the intruders a menacing grin. [Ah yes. The security cameras picked you up when you took out Shunt and company. I do hope you liked my little modifications to them.]

I hope this is the coffee talking, AJ groaned, gazing down into his freshest flask.

What the...but how...why...when did.... Aaron was pretty much lost for words. ...youre in charge here?! Why are you the bad guy in all this?!

[Revenge], the mechanised peacekeeper growled. [For years, I have been ridiculed just for doing my job. My fellow House Robots. The other competitors. The braindead fans who have no idea of the gruelling work I have to cope with. All of them made my life Robot Hell]. Slowly, he trundled out from behind the desk, his left claw tightening cruelly, [I had to pay them back and this is how. I set up base in the abandoned Mentorn headquarters here and used my vast memory banks to develop mind control chips to enslave those who looked down at me]. He held up a tiny replica of a chip in his clawed hand and pointed his fire extinguisher arm to the large brainwasher generator behind his desk. [But I have many on my revenge list. I knew I couldnt make them all the chips on my own. I needed help].

So you tested them on your teammates before using them to make more for you? Agent Mann snarled.

[Indeed], Refbot said courteously, [And with my alterations, I believe I have succeeded in making them more destructive as well as better behaved].

And thats why you took Wedge Devo! AJ snapped, As part of this big crappy revenge scheme of yours!

[That was part of the plan], the House Robot agreed, [or at least it would have been if someone else hadnt gotten to him first. Still, no matter. I will find him in due time and he can then join the other new editions to my glorious army. Chrome!] A door on the right of the room banged open and Cassius Chrome darted into the vicinity, a small computer chip noticably stuck on one of his cheeks.

[Yeah, boss?] he said with a deep, slightly dopey voice.

[Id like a demonstration from my new recruits] Refbot told him with a sinister grin, [release out, will you?]

[Whateva you say, chief], Chrome drawled and one by one, he gave each safe door a one-two combo with his barbed fists. The doors of the holding cubes swung open and out from each stepped...well, how to describe them once they had lined up in front of our heroes? The first entity looked like a velociraptor with a safari hat and a green scaly t-shirt, the second was a tall youth with a cork hat and a guitar strapped around his neck, while the third man sported a crop of black hair and a truly enormous pair of rubber trousers. Each too had a small chip stuck to their heads.

[Mr Southworth? Lord Roper? Mr Goacher? Kindly delete these intruders.] With that, the man they call Thomas Roper stuck a power chord. An electric blue laser shot out of the head of his guitar, blasting a hole through the door Chrome had entered through.

And I thought that Ref was mad before, AJ mumbled as the terrible trio closed in on them.
