          Disco Dancer 2.5 (25) vs. Battle Raptor 3 vs. Panic Attack

          From somewhere in England, and the 25th seed, Disco Dancer 2 and a half. Entered by Matty R, this robot that looks like Supernova and Splinter€™s child has a horizontal 20 kg flywheel which has a lot of power, and two grabbing hands. However the flywheel can be too powerful and Disco Dancer could self-kill-itself. The armour is ok, the speed is good, but the grabbing hands are a waste of time in my view.
          In Far 8: Caused the first shock, after knocking out Sheer Hell in round 1, before coming foul to the series champion in round 2, which ate up Disco Dancer and spat it down the pit.

          From somewhere else in England, Battle Raptor 3. Entered by Richard, who is aiming for the 3rd robot in the final 16, comes to play today with a flipper/axe, powered by co2, it can cause trouble to any attacks around the rear, but the skirts and a good speed will hopefully stop attacks around the rear. The front scoop is low, but the major weakness is that if it gets flipped with the weapon out, the weapon is worthless.
          In Far 8: Didn€™t enter

          From Wales, Panic Attack (Extreme 2 Edition). This is a reserve robot entered by Anon in case of a robot that didn€™t come in. Driven today by Tony (Panic Attack) Politzi. The Extreme 2 version has front forks, and the Srimech with added axe protection. The skirts are good enough to restand most flippers and the 22 mph top speed from it€™s 4 wheel drive chassis gives it the edge. However the Srimech hasn€™t worked in a fight and a good spinner in a melee could take it apart. The series 1 runner up.
          In Far 8: The less said about the better, out in round 1, after being flipped over by Tanto 2.

          Panic Attack gets off to a good start, accelerating from the line, and heads off towards the pit release. Disco Dancer 2.5 has it€™s disc up to speed, as Battle Raptor 3 starts to make it€™s move, onto attacking Panic Attack. Tony turns around and gets away before both robots can attack the robot he is borrowing.

          Disco Dancer 2.5 gives chase, as Battle Raptor 3 starts to reverse to get the axe into play, because it wouldn€™t be able to get underneath the skirts to fire the flipper. Panic Attack turns around and heads towards Disco Dancer 2.5, as Battle Raptor 3 comes in and hits the axe into the top. The axe bounces away leaving a mild indent on the top, as Panic Attack gets underneath the rear 2mm ground clearance of Disco Dancer and lifts up the rear.

          The flywheel hits the floor at 75% full power, the floor shakes, as a large slice is taken out of the solid steel floor. Battle Raptor 3 comes around and flips Panic Attack over. Tony fires the Srimech, as Panic Attack self-rights, as Disco Dancer isn€™t moving. Matt is trying everything, as Ref has started to move over to count out the 25th seed, which has no life but has left it€™s mark in the arena.

          1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and there goes the red card.

          Cease

          The 25th seed out, the shock from the flywheel hitting the solid surface came back and destroyed the electronics. Battle Raptor 3 and Panic Attack, they go forward to round 2.

          Melee 2

          Panicking ( vs. Leprosy Infection vs. Stratos-Fear

          From Scotland and Essex, the series 6 runner up, and 8th seed. Panicking. The Panic has grown up, with tough armour, and now invertible with forks to match. The forks can be impendent of each other. The speed is good at 23 mph and with acceleration to match. The skirts stop any pesky flippers from flipping. More weight has been spent on protection against crushers and spinners, which it has lost to in the past.
          In Far 8: As Panic 3 Gti, made the final 16 by beating Span Axe, Dantomkia, and Force Power 3. However it came unstuck against Mr Clawdius.

          From England, Leprosy Infection. Entered by Chris, this 4 wheel drive robot with a spinning drum has good control and good power. However the wheels can be attacked by axes or crushers. It is invertible, and the drum can run the other way, but it€™s less efficient at flipping robots over. Will Leprosy Infection cause an infection?
          In Far 8: (As Leprosy), came to round 2, after beating Pink Panther, before coming unstuck against The Bore.

          From Scotland, Stratos-Fear. Entered by Scott, this is the first generation of fear machines. 4 wheel drive, MASSIVE flipper with more power than Gravity, came 2nd in the VCL 04, tough armour, acceleration to die for, what could go wrong? I will tell you, if a robot can get to the side of the weapon, the weapon is useless.

          Stratos-Fear moves forward, getting up to speed in the quickest time, as Scott has his eyes on Leprosy Infection, as Scott himself is wearing a black shirt, a black kilt, and an orange tie. The man himself is wearing sunglasses, as Martyn is holding back, as Stratos Fear rams into the front end of Leprosy Infection, as the drum doesn€™t get to work, and the flipper is underneath Leprosy Infection.

          What€™s that, a good 10 feet in the air, as Leprosy Infection brings down a panel of the roof on it€™s way down, landing, but still moving, as Stratos-Fear has sent Panicking over the arena in a spin, as Scott heads over towards Leprosy Infection, which has opened the pit, and getting underneath the sides, unleashes the power and sends Leprosy Infection spinning across the arena, and smashing into the camera, knocking it flying.

          Cease

          Two records have been broken, so has a part of the roof and the arena camera. Leprosy Infection spins out of the arena on a cloud of thin-air. Stratos-Fear brings fear to all, and Panicking, well...

          €¦didn€™t do much, those two goes forward to round 2.

            Could go either way but i am leaning towards stratos-fear

            Panicking ((me) vs. Panic Attack
            hummm, what to do? We both have lifting forks, we both simaler in shape. I think i may have a slight edge, i will activate the pit and try and flip it over then pit it while it is selfrighting and it may also break the srimech. There isnt much panic attack can do to me and i dont think its skirts will prove that effective and like in the past may get stuck upwards. Dunno what else to say hummm...

                    And the lord said they there be evil round 2 fights to write. Really, the robots were that close to each other in terms of style that anyone could have won these fights.

                    The Scottish flipper against the English axe/flipper both had a part to play in round 1.

                    The two highest accelerating robots of the heat starts to move forward and both turn, as the axe of Battle Raptor 3 fires first and bounces off the strange armour of Stratos-Fear and Richard fires the axe again, this time putting a nice dent in the front flipper, as Stratos is trying to turn itself around to face Battle Raptor 3, but the flippers length is not helping, as Battle Raptor 3 is sitting in the arc, as it gets underneath and flips Stratos up and over, it is an Axlebot, so it doesn€™t worry Scott, but he finally gets onto the attack and drives into the front end of Battle Raptor 3.

                    Battle Raptor 3 reverses just at the end, and so the front end is somersaulted into the air as it lands on it€™s wheels, and comes onto the attack once more, as the axe comes down onto the side wheel pod, and putting a dent in the wheel, as Battle Raptor 3 gets underneath and flips Stratos over onto it€™s back once more. Scott tries to come back into play with the flipper, but Battle Raptor 3 is sitting too close to be flappable, as the axe comes down again, but Stratos breaks away and turns, getting the low front wedge underneath the side skirt of Battle Raptor 3 and before you can say cheese, Battle Raptor 3 is flipped over, doing a roll, as it lands on it€™s top, the skirts bent out of shape with the rolls, as Stratos gets into play once more, as Battle Raptor 3 runs away, but it is trapped before being able to self-right, as Stratos gets underneath and flips it over. Battle Raptor 3 rests on the side wall, Richard fires the weapon, and pushes away from the wall, as Stratos comes smashing into play, and getting the wedge caught underneath the side fence, pushing the front down and rear end up into the air, the wheels are spinning on Stratos, as Scott fires the flipper€¦

                    €¦the side wall has been ripped pretty well clean from it€™s bolts and has landed. The arena is damaged, but Battle Raptor 3 is using this for the advantage and hits the axe into the top of Stratos-Fear, Scott turns, but Battle Raptor 3 is on the edge of doom, and comes onto the attack, spinning around, and getting the front wedge underneath Stratos-Fear and flips it up, but Stratos-Fear comes away, the flipper heading over the void, but the length of it saves it, as he gets underneath Battle Raptor 3 and flips it back into the arena, landing on the side fence, and drives away, and into the pit release. Stratos gets underneath the rear, but Battle Raptor 3 drives so that it€™s front is against the wall. Stratos flips, as Battle Raptor 3 is tossed up in the air, but comes down, and comes back onto the attack, getting the front wedge underneath Stratos and lifting the wheels off the ground. Both robots are heading towards the pit, as Stratos flips, as Battle Raptor 3 is dancing with death once more, as Stratos turns, and comes onto the attack, Battle Raptor 3 turns, as the front end goes over the pit, and starts to turn, but Scott reverses quickly and clears the pit, Battle Raptor 3 is on the other side of the arena, as Stratos-Fear gives chase. The battle takes a turn for the worse, as the time is slowly running out, but, Battle Raptor 3 turns and fires the axe into Stratos-Fear, putting a dent in the front, but once more the wedge gets underneath and flips. Battle Raptor 3 lands against the wall and comes back down, as Stratos-Fear gets underneath and flips it up again, but Battle Raptor 3 is too far forward, and bounces back onto the surface. Both robots are still looking good, as Stratos has some damage, as it spins around, as Battle Raptor 3 comes forward and flips it up, against the arena wall, and once more, lifting the rear up. In any other arena, Stratos would be out, but it isn€™t, as Battle Raptor 3 turns around, and hits Stratos with the axe once more, as Scott tries to turn the screw onto Battle Raptor 3, but the long wedge isn€™t up to it€™s normal standards, as the front is bent upwards, and can€™t get underneath Battle Raptor 3€™s skirts, which are still bent, but still preventing clean access. Richard is looking worried, as the co2 levels in Battle Raptor 3 are running dangerously low. Scott looks down at his co2 levels, and the red light is on, as it is virtually empty, as he manages to get the flipper underneath Battle Raptor 3, and fires the flipper. The flipper goes half-way up and stops, Battle Raptor 3 hops up, and pushes the flipper back down, and fires the axe into the top, getting it stuck in, but it comes back, very slowly. Stratos-Fear turns, getting underneath Battle Raptor 3, and firing the flipper, but nothing happens, as Battle Raptor 3 drives off the flipper, getting underneath and pushing Stratos-Fear towards the hammer.

                    Cease

                    Both robots are still moving at the end of the fight, and both are out of co2, as the judges move in to count up the damage points on both machines.

                    The son against the grand daddy. Both have forks, have tough armour and a strong drive, but will the granddaddy still be king of the forks?

                    Panicking is the first away, as Panic Attack starts to move forward, but is being careful against the young-one with the extra 1 mph in speed, nothing else to choice between them, as Panicking comes into play, trying to use it€™s extra speed to cause people to go mad, but the skirts on Panic Attack are proving to be stronger than you might think, as Panic Attack turns and manages to get the forks underneath the front end of Panicking, which says it has a zero ground clearance, which is a lot of crap because you need a ground clearance to move, as the forks of Panic Attack are underneath and have lifted Panicking up into the air, as the forks slide forward and get caught between the wheel arch and the wheel.

                    Tony drives forward, knowing he has a finite amount of time, as he opens the pit release, as Panicking is trying to come back, as Panic Attack takes it over the arena spike, which fires, sending the rear end into the air and up and away, landing down with a bump, as Martyn comes back onto the attack, but Panic Attack has turned, and the two robots meet each other again, and the lower forks of Panic Attack get underneath Panicking and once more Panicking is lifted into the air, and is being taken towards the pit of broken dreams. The wheels are spinning on Panicking, as it tries to lift itself free from Panic Attack, but it€™s too little, too late, as Panicking is pushed 6 feet under and into black smoke.

                    Cease

                    Panicking, dumped, Panic Attack moves onto the heat final.

                            Close decision in a good fight, Dave! And dont be so pessimistic, Tony!

                            BR3 will keep away from PAs front, hammer him on top while shoving with the rear skirt, then try to get under and flip, and continue hammering if I cant.
